[2022] Yuzuru Hanyu Public Practice Session 'SharePractice' (10 August)

If Yuzu decided he did want/need more funding for his videos and projects, he could easily snap up more sponsors. The Share Practice was clearly a gift, his offered gift and thanks to his fans, and he wanted it to be just that no matter the cost.

But I will always love how this tough, canny, seasoned, 27 year old multimillionaire sports star brings out such fiercely protective instincts.

I would also gladly pay for the livestream.

Me too.

We pay for tickets when we want to watch a show or go to a concert; we pay for online subscriptions to sites or newspapers we like. I don't think it would be terribly expensive.

I don't think so either. The tickets to the ice shows will continue to be expensive due to the logistics invovled, no matter how much Yuzu worries about adjusting the prices, but I don't think the online content will be overpriced, if it happens.
I know there is a lot of talk about monetizing his YT channel, but I'd rather pay than monetize. I'm not sure to what extent Yuzu would be able to control who gets advertised on his channel and, projecting myself*, I'm not sure if Yuzu will like to work this way so out of control.

Spoiler

I'm very, very picky about advertising. You will rarely see me with a t-shirt whose drawing is the logo or name of the brand or even a phrase. That's how crazy I'm  :67638860:

Just my opinion :wink2:

The thing is, YT puts ads on his channel regardless, unfortunately he doesn't really have a say in it :dontknow:

I'd be willing to pay for livestreams too though

I know but... I don't know how to explain myself, my english is not goo enough. They're just my silly ideals.

Actually, Yuzu will do what he wants to do the way he wants to do it, right? And we will do everything possible to support him within the possibilities of each one.

Has this been posted? If so, apologies, but can't risk not posting as this is amazing.

The music has been used from WL Beijing...he is totally at one with the music despite not hearing it, well of course he can hear it, it is there in every cell of his body and soul.

Watching again, melting down.

Watching the SharePractice again, I noticed that the song "Boku no koto" is played twice (1:10:35 and 1:26:15) and both times Yuzu is singing along with great enthusiasm and abandon while skating.

I think we may safely assume that it's (one of) his favourite song(s) atm and perhaps some day we'll see a program set to this song.

The lyrics do seem to fit him in a way - here's an English subbed fanvid to this song:

Is anyone interested in a listing / an approximate timeline of the SharePractice segments? If so, then I'll post it later.
