February 12, 20224 yr We have all seen similar photos before. But anyway, looking at this, I really have to laugh at the idea that this will be how it is with Yuzu out.

I saw a tiktok with this vs. the crowd around Yuzu in... somewhere (post-FS mixed media zone possibly) and it really puts into perspective how much ISU have screwed themselves trying to push him out of the sport

Those bastards really think someone like Yuzu can be found easily. Be doomed, all of them.

The press conference of the medalists was empty because the journalists were swarming around Yuzu. They all know who the true champion is. Without Yuzu, ice rinks would be just as empty.

The ISU, JSF, and the US fed think that they can just promote fake stars and people will eat it up. Yuzu skates with all his heart and soul. He puts his entire heart and soul out there on the ice for everybody to see. This is how he touches people's hearts and creates such a deep bond with them. This is how the inspires so much love, adoration and devotion. Yuzu is genuine and true. His love and gentle soul shine through his performances and his skating. This is something that can never be replicated or created artificially.

February 12, 20224 yr LOL I told you Beijing could have been an email. Apparently, Yuma had already announced his gala program in Olympics before even coming to Beijing and had a huge PR for it before. And if I understood correctly, it's a song for 3.11 earthquake victims. It seems JSF and his dad want to replicate a bit of Yuzu in Yuma. Interesting.
February 12, 20224 yr My thoughts regarding the gala: I don't know how Yuzu's condition is right now and hope he recovers quickly. I also hope he gets some much needed rest and spends a couple of days just chilling in his hotel room, eating yummy gyozas, and playing video games. We don't know yet if he'll perform in the gala, but he still has a couple of days to make his decision. I think if he's in good enough shape, he'll go. When I watched his FS practice on Wednesday, I was shaken. It was obvious that he got injured when he fell and was in pain. It hurt to watch how he grimaced from pain, tightened his boots a couple of times, and skated around apparently thinking about what kind of jumps were still possible and then did more jumps when he was obviously suffering, both physically and emotionally. I was heartbroken and said back then that he should withdraw if he's injured and not risk his health and aggravate his injury. But this is Yuzu we're talking about. Of course he doesn't give up easily. He went out there with painkillers and delivered another brave, deeply touching, and outstanding performance. He went for the 4A against all odds and despite the great risk. He kept his promise to himself and left the greatest impression of all. Everything else became background noise. Despite not winning a medal, it's obvious Yuzu is the star and true champion of these Olympics. He left his mark and showed his otherworldly skating, courage, and determination to the whole world. The gala gives him a chance to do it again. He can show the beauty of his skating and present himself to the entire world. He doesn't even have to do any jumps. His skating is more than enough to deliver an absolutely mesmerizing performance. And he will be the most dazzling star by far yet again. So, if he's healthy enough to perform at the gala, I think he'll take the opportunity. PS: This is just my petty little mind speaking, but if those in power want him to disappear so their pets can be in the spotlight, why would Yuzu do them a favor and leave of his own accord? If you ask me, he should go out there and shine brighter than everybody else! Looking at the other male skaters who got invited, Yuzu's cool down on the ice would already be the absolute highlight among the men. (As long as his health allows it, of course.)

Obviously Yuma is Japanese and the quake would have had an impact on him, however he would've been a small child when it happened. This just feels a bit like they're trying to replicate such an integral part of Yuzu's skating journey and life for pity points, rather than actually an earthquake tribute. Like, do Yuma's actions reflect his skate? Does he donate to disaster relief, support earthquake victims etc? Idk as someone who is an earthquake survivor (albeit on a smaller scale) myself (there was a big NZ earthquake like 3 weeks before 3.11) it just doesn't sit quite right with me
