[2022] Russian Nationals (21.12-26.12) - Men's SP + FS, Pairs' SP + FS, and Ice Dance RD + FD

Featured Replies

I got home from last minute Christmas shopping in time for this last group. The quality of Kolyada  vs the other men here is so evident. Other than Kolyada, the quality of J Nats is just so much higher, despite some of these Russians having some big quads. The spins and steps, basic skills are just not there. But, I love the drama of any Nats, so it's still fun.

The music cut is just jaw-dropping - how do you slice JCS like this?

Should medal, I'd say? Most jumps were landed kinda cleanly?

Yes Mark, my absolute Russian fave since the weird team competition! Hope it's enough for top 3 and Olys spot!!!!

OK. I LIke this Cat!! That was fun, it was a real program, rather than skating through the music like the last couple of guys. Yes, some very chaotic moments and actions, but it captured my attention and he performed to it.

I haven't heard JCS for awhile, so it was nice to see it for a change.
