Stars on Ice Hachinohe 2021

I like Mana's style - very dramatic.  I hope she can get more consistency in the coming season!

As far as I remember, usually even costumes are not washed regularly, even for comps. They are usually let dry using fans and then perfume and stuff are added to get rid of any unpleasant smells. These things are super tricky to wash and dry after all (unless you forever go with plain, boring, easy to find, easy to replace stuff).

One unpleasant behind-the-scene detail to keep in mind

I seem to recall either Yuzu or another skater during an FaOI interview mentioning that on days when they have two shows close together, they basically put the costume back on wet for the second show. Icky detail but there's no other option.

Mirai Nagasu too, in one of her interviews, so I believe it's common.

Well, regarding Yuzu, it's not like he smells anyway (according to fans).

With no international skaters, these ice shows are giving more opportunities for these junior skaters to gain experience and get greater exposure.  I remember Shun from the Jr Jnats! He was one of my favorites!

Eek! I know you didn't mean anything bad by this but I feel like this is crossing a line. :smiley-scared003:

Her jumps and flows have improved too. In general, she seems to let the choreo "breathe" more now.

I have to say though, she is one of those skaters who seem to be held back by small rinks . The kid's skating is super fast and powerful across the ice

this is 10 seconds longer than the last one I posted, and we can’t afford to miss one second!!

I'm seriously not going to speculate on that...a bridge too far for me. :smiley-scared003:

Well, not from me, fan reports in the past LOL, something about fresh smell and stuff :xD:

Omg 😂 the rink is so small for him 😂

RikuRiu - it's scary watching the pairs perform on such a small rink!  Beautiful program.
