Sadly, not likely for the Beijing olympics. When Miku and Riuichi couldn't make it back to Japan for the 2020 JNats, they had to cancel the Pairs segment - because there was literally no other pair who qualified to compete at JNats.

I guess the big issue is that tall men with strong upper body that could skate in pairs usually go in other sports... of singles men, the most suitable pairs men I can think about are Keiji and Mura😅 but if Cong Han can be the best pairs Male skater, so can jpn man, the lack of a pairs tradition matters, probably 😔
