@Old Cat Lady i've tried Korean fried chicken once here, that I got from the local Asian grocery store.  It came with sweet and spicy dipping "sauces" (actually powdery rubs). The sweet was literal cinnamon sugar, made with powdered sugar, no salty or savory to balance it. So like eating chicken that had been passed through a cinnamon sugar donut, really. Interesting but too sweet to go with chicken, IMO. And the spicy one was straight-up gochugaru

I'm reminded of one of those pretentious Dick Button quotes. When commenting on Oksana Grishuk when they finished Liebertango, he said something about her "Penzance (sp? some Italian word I'm sure I butchered)... the way she stands there". There's just a certain aura that he has that reminds me of Yuzu... I first thought that when he was doing some event 1 or 2 years ago with slicked back dark hair and a dark suit. Just something about the way he stands there that reminds me of Yuzu. But like I said, I really know absolutely nothing else about Yeonjun so I can totally see being completely wrong. 

 

Oddly enough, even though it's for completely different vibes, to me, the one that reminds me the most of Yuzu from BTS is Jin because of certain mannerisms and facial expressions he makes and the way he shifts back and forth from cute princess to charismatic boss with that bit of endearing cringe.

I'm sorry, but I did not expect Armys getting out voted by engens for the fan choice deasang, guess Army's were too devided with Hobi and Jin nominated .....but I'm still kind of shocked.

Me, too ... Jimin won last year ... but, I guess, he has more fans then Jin and JHope ... I can't stand solos ... Jin and Hobi are BTS, too ... wth ...

I'm honestly not at all surprised. As I've been saying for a while, based on factual evidence, it's been pretty clear that the fandom is severely divided. People who are involved in social media that are continually claiming that there isn't a bias against certain members is either romanticizing the fandom or so influenced by their personal bias that they don't care. But I do understand why people like you, who don't watch social media, would be surprised based on past results.  Even if Jin were the only one nominated, he likely wouldn't have won. My guess is that he ended up a distant 3rd on voting. I'm more surprised that Engenes beat Carats.

In any award show, having more than one member, or cast member, or writer, or director  nomintared for the same award makes it tough,  Or - and this happned tot Chris' group the first year of the daytyime emmys when "broadband" was added,  Chris' production had two nominations in a total of three.  That makes it nearly impossible to win.  9"the nomintaiton is the award..."

 

I know that, during the time in the military and the solo projects, when we got to see a fuller picture of individual members, the bias aspect would be increased.  I had seen some people wanting JK to just go off on his own.   Two points: as amazing and incredible the solo work has been, they'd have never even been solo artists if they weren't BTS and they wouldn't have come up out of the blue as solo artists without the support of ARMY (and the thirst for ANY BTS stuff).  They certainly proved themselves - each and every one of them, that they are capable of carrying a successful solo career, but they are BTS and I beleiev they are aware of that.

 

Still find it hard to believe that MAMA even went ahead with an award show

I know what you mean. Yeonjun like Yuzu has this aura that just draws you in, your eye just naturally lands on him. And both have that crazy stage presence. Yeonjun just slayed his solo stage at Mama, you need to be able to command that stage to reach even the last person in such a huge venue.
