Faithyu Posted October 30 Posted October 30 7 hours ago, rockstaryuzu said: Karma in action today: YES! This was sooooo satisfying to watch😎. There is no way NJ can go back to ador even if they never left, cause they have an on going contract. Too much damage, just imagin them in the hybe building meeting illit or LeSserafim members..... I think the only way for them is to cancel their contract and pay the fine. I want Mhj to loose every single case she has going on. I want Hybe to try and file another criminal lawsuit against her for what she did. I want her to go down. I want Hybe to sue every single mhj supporting reporter and news outlet who spread lies about other Hybe artists. I want the government to apologize to Ador and Hybe for the freaking shit show they had going on in a certain hearing about harassment at the workplace. I want a certain police station to get cleaned up of the mhj supporters and put out a formal apology to Yoongi and BagPD on how they have been treated. I want Bangs case to be dropped and an end of this ridiculous witch hunt. I know that other then the first point, everything else is not realistic, but a girl can dream.......
Whoopiewoop Posted October 30 Posted October 30 It's been a while since I've taken a step back from following the New Jeans case and MHJ as well, and catching up on this made me see things from a different perspective. MHJ is still a witch and karma will get her, that didn't change. Grooming and manipulation are her speciality. As for the girls: yes, I do believe they should have made smarter choices with the help of the adults (bar MHJ) in their lives, but not even they seem to be close to the average IQ spectrum. That being said, these girls HAVE been groomed, and just like a victim of domestic violence, we can't blame them for their actions, as disingenuous and illogical as they might seem to us. It's easy to comment from the outside, but from the inside I have no doubt that these girls really, really wanted to get away from Ador, justified or not, and they deserve to do so. I get contracts are there to be fulfilled, and that if Ador agreed to dissolve it then other companies would be shaking in their boots because they risk other idols demanding the same things knowing they would have chances of getting away with it, so the only option was to fight for its validity to not lose face and send out a strong message to the industry, that Ador/Hybe was not to be messed with. However, staying in a work place where you're no longer comfortable (again, justified or not) is hell. Imagine being forced to stay where you are, despite hating it, for years to come. You would fall into depression, I guarantee you. I did... and the companies I worked for weren't too shabby when it came to culture, but I couldn't muster the energy to look for something else because of that same depression. My understanding is that they will now appeal, correct? They will have to change their strategy and get medical professionals to actually diagnose them with severe enough mental health issues that would incapacitate them and prevent them from working properly until 2029. I agree with JK's post on Bam's account back in the day when all this started and ARMY was adamant that it had been hacked, that he would never side with anyone that wasn't Hybe. Leave artists out of it. They're always used as tools and there have been too many people fighting their labels for one reason or the other in the past and all of them said the same thing: it's mental damage that it's very hard to get out of.
Whoopiewoop Posted October 30 Posted October 30 Side note: I love the romanization feature of the lyrics on Apple Music, makes it so easy to do a sing along (and still terribly suck at it)!

I absolutely agree with you that the girls have been groomed and that the blame is on mhj and the parents (cause they have played an active part in it). And when I said they can't go back to working under ador, I meant it in the sense they can't work there anymore cause it would be hell for them. The relationship with all the staff is destroyed, the relationship with other artists is damaged, they probably really fear the hybe building and would most likely feel anxious. Your idea with them all going on sick leave till 2029 would be the smartest move and yes, they appeal cause "they respect the decision, but"..... (I really hope they get good therapists!....but sadly I don't think so, cause they would first need to see that something happened to them and the parents don't seem to be the person to show them). Ador can't just let them go without a fine, but they also know working with them is no longer possible. It's a loose/loose situation, but I'm still happy that the ridiculous reasons they put out there for "breach of trust" all got rejected by the court. Cause in the end, mhj made the girls break the trust between them and ador with all the situation she put the girls into, which put a lot of harm on the company and many other individuals.

Cause in the end, mhj made the girls break the trust between them and ador with all the situation she put the girls into, which put a lot of harm on the company and many other individuals. The thing is, the contract they have with Ador has an escape clause. Pay the termination fee and the contract is over. If they were really in mental distress and MHJ really did have other opportunities for them elsewhere, just pay the fee and leave. It's not hard. There was no need to go to court at all. The whole court thing is theatre designed to destroy HYBE. And the girls, groomed or not, are obviously, at this point, very willing participants in that. This is why I have zero sympathy for them. If they have money to keep going back to court, they have the money to pay the termination costs and get out of the contract drama-free and reputations intact. They keep refusing that option. So, I don't see them as victims and I think there's no excuse for their behaviour.

I am not as sympathetic to the members of nj as @Whoopiewoop I agree that they have been groomed and are suffering because of that. Maybe there is somebackdoor way fro them to simply be banned for the business until 2029 and they can get some mental health help. But they cannot - especially by Korean business standards - be allowed to benefit in any way whatsoever for breaking their contract. That's a biggie. The entire idol and trainee business depends on honoring contracts. (I do feel badly for them, though -but not so much that I want to see them crush a key element of the business.) mhj should be forced to pay their fine AND pay fro their expenses for the next three years.

It used to be a little more hooked on the end and now it's more upturned. And I think it looks a smidge narrower and sharper. Granted, Tae and Jin also have bulbous noses that they sharpen with makeup sometimes. But I think the upturned end would be hard to fake with makeup. I'm not judgmental about anything people do with their own bodies and don't hurt anyone else so as long as he's happy, I'm happy. I admit, I do miss Jimin's toof but if he's been self conscious about it then good for him for straightening it. 15 hours ago, Faithyu said: YES! I think karma in this case is a misnomer. This is just upholding the law. I'm rather baffled by anyone who actually thought they could win. I'm certain that even MHJ knew that they wouldn't win and was just using them. This is another example of why you should always verify information - it's amazing what people will convince themselves to believe. as far as grooming - yes, that's unfortunate that they were subject to that but their parents and MHJ need to be punished for their actions, not a whole bunch of bystanders. A loss for Ador would have destroyed the industry. But also, being empathetic and sympathetic to people doesn't mean that you should excuse their behavior - I think one of the problems with the world is that people too often don't hold people accountable for their actions.

And while acknowledging the nj members as victims, I have zero symphathy for them as they harmed others with their actions. So, question: What does social media say who to give the deasang mama vote to? It's the one where you can't see the current ranking. Jin or Hobi?
