No, 9th Japan time, I think. If the open day is around noon on the 8th Canada time, that'd be 1am Japan time on the 9th. First news shows on Japanese TV are around 4-5am, I think, so... if not earlier, we should get news around then. Unless they'll all want to take their time editing, but I doubt it... so I think we should get at least some basic stuff then, with more stuff as they get more time to edit...

I am making it my job not to be chill because it's already so cold and boring here that I need something to get worked up about or I will perish.

Knowing the time difference, I'll be asleep when the announcement comes, so likely, the shock will sink in while I'm flipping through my phone, totally bored during a  morning management meeting...
