  1. yeah skate canada was the 3a 4t//3lz2t layout he just bombed it NHK was the first outing of the new layout XD
  2. tbh everyone in that tweet thread was ridiculous the only sensible responses I saw was people quote RT and being sarcastic. (<- if you are referring to the salty PChan fans that went onto to pull the old 'Hanyu shouldn't have won Sochi cuz he fell in his FS' thing later which just made me like wow what year is it again)
  3. I have a feeling that if the 5-quads 1-3A plan doesn't totally work in his favour and the risk/reward balance for adding the 4lz for a 5-quad 2-3A layout become more favourable, he'll change the layout. Again, I think if there is no layout change by NHK, that's it and the layout will not change all season. Though this is assuming that Yuzuru will be somewhat keeping track of how his main competitors are fairing early in the season and is able to analyse which plan is more likely to work out for him. Yuzuru seems like the type who will have weighed up a number of options, especially considering how much he wants not just a second olympic gold but a blazing season of skating better than his very best. the 4T3T rippon is beautiful and I think, if timed well with the music, it will fit very nicely and be a nice 'wow' moment in the program.
  4. I can't wait to see what changes have been made to the stsq, chsq (is any) etc. I'm so excited to see how seimei has been upgraded.
  5. Yes to the bold. I think it's more like Seimei Yuzu is going to achieve such great things it will ascend to the Gods, not die to join the Gods.
  6. ...........................................................................................but he's not Chinese so... I do think red accents would be nice, maybe a cool-toned deep red which would contrast nicely with the cream/white bulk of the costume and the ice without being jarring, but even if we're just going off the movie costumes as inspiration there's a lot of other colours he could go for to alter the Seimei costume and I'm just not particularly attached to red as a colour...I like his blue/cool coloured costumes, I think cool tones are very flattering on him and wouldn't mind if he stuck to blues, greens and purples especially if he feels more comfortable skating in that kind of colour.
  7. I will be very surprised if Mr. Superstition Yuzuru Hanyu has a red costume in Olympic season
  8. As soon as he announced Seimei tbh I got this really weird feeling like 'I can't believe I'm probably going to witness an event that will probably be remembered for decades in person' like in my bones i know, if yuzu keeps his mentality good and his health good, something very, very special is gonna happen at Pyeongchang and its weird to know i'm gonna be in the crowd when it happens
  9. oh my god i hope he manages to pull that off in the program tano/rippon moves are wonderful accents and I love when Yuzu does it ;A;
  10. that was b.esp. i roll my eyes so hard every time. like nooooo in the the seasons after sochi he's not had a great performance at all.... b.esp uncles should know better considering how much they usually gush but they seemed to lose interest in yuzu last season. they were too busy being dazzled by Shoma's thighs or something
  11. on the 4lz issue >> its also easy to forget that a big reason why this program is coming back? if performed clean with the original layout it was capable of getting scores that would have still come out on top at worlds this year with a decent margin (!! Shoma got 214.45 for his free. GPF seimei would beat the strongest performance Shoma had all year. Nathan's strongest performance last year was only 204 in the fs). this layout is still an upgrade from last year and a pretty big upgrade from the original just without the high risk of a new jump. skated clean its....fine. every single element of the program was already high level and yuzu is upgrading everything from the jumps, to the steps, to the tr and his skills and interpretation...everything. this about how last season was pm a study in performance and interpretation for him (connecting with the crowd and giving more nuanced expression) plus how much he packed into choreo and transitions last season...now he's going to apply that to his two best programs. hes fine lol. I'm back to being excited.
  12. I'm a little worried about it but i'm more worried about if his plan doesn't fully work in his favour. the layout is not risk-free, just safer than if he had added a 4lz, but it comes down to the risk-reward balance. a 4lz program is a high risk because there's no way of knowing how well the new jump will fair in competition, but if it went well it could yield a bit reward points wise in having the 5 quads and 2 3a. This layout has less risk, just how it fairs against higher bv programs (not too much trouble as yuzu gets higher GOE and PCS) and if he fails to land something there's less cushion - but its jumps that are familiar with reasonably good success rates, or known in-competition issues that can be prepared for. The reward could be high in that he could get the consistency he wants and a rise in overall quality leading to higher GOe and higher PCS. The kids with the high BV programs haven't cracked Seimei 1.0's scores. If he's clean it still stands that no one can touch him. It makes sense to prioritise going clean. If the music/program makes him feel at ease and able to focus (without overthinking)then lbr the 4s3t issues will be resolved, a lower risk layout won't lead him to overthink so much and we'll be seeing a lot more +3s and 10s because. He had two roads he could go down and there's no way of knowing how his decision will work out until....the season has started or finished tbh. I have faith in him ^^ He's smart, he's analytical, he will have considered this and if this is really what he thinks is the best option then I trust his decision ^^
  13. If his strategy is to either 1) hold off on it but continue practising it to kind of see how the competition is and if it is necessary or keeping it or 2) keeping it under wraps to avoid spurring rivals on to further structure their content to beat him I think both options are smart. Maybe he'll feel unnerved if it's 'too easy' or he'll find he needs the boost to his bv, maybe he'll discover that his conservative layout with contingency plans is totally enough to win over the competition and the lutz would be a risk he just doesn't need to take - who knows. lmao mte on the last point. i doubt he'd be satisfied leaving with a thin portfolio of programs. i see him sticking around a bit longer to try new things.
  14. if you look at his layouts next to each other (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1JKEpZyL6gJen3eaO4OtJbr53f7VyTpAF0IvZkjszfhw/edit#gid=1927122440) On the one hand, the proposed Seimei 2.0 layout is both very similar to Seimei 1 and H&L (and POTO) so if his aim is consistent clean performances with increasing quality through the season, then the rhythm of the program and the content being similar to previous versions and previous programs should help with that goal - though I duno how much close to 100 in PCS judges will let him get. The downside is the BV difference not really being a lot in comparison to last season, considering he's adding another quad, and if he does carry over some of his mental block there's not a lot of padding there, unless he yolos a 4lz or something. He can outscore others on quality if he's clean but Shoma does get some nice GOE and nice PCS, and will have a higher BV. I prefer being in a position with Yuzu where if he skates well, not even perfect, he's still got a good chance of winning without necessarily relying on other skaters to make major errors. I'm sure he has calculated all this stuff himself and has weighed up all the pros and cons of his plans as well as making a bunch of contingency plans and alternate layouts but i'm kinda ehh about this layout right now. There is a lot of risk in going with a layout so relatively safe...but if everyone else with their new quads and higher value quads pushed to the second half do have a hard time getting their planned content landed, and Yuzu's safer plan works out for him.... I mean, I guess he really doesn't want to splat at Pyeongchang, but i'd hate for him to somehow be edged out because someone who took a bit more of a risk got lucky on the day. As I said elsewhere~ I will believe for sure 4lz is not happening if it hasn't appeared by NHK. If at the end of NHK we still have this layout I'm gonna assume its set and he's going to play a bit more in another season.
  15. I'll believe Yuzu's not adding 4lz if it's still absent by NHK I hope I didn't seem too harsh but many people do seem to think Max is an insider with exclusive info from within TCC. He's not. What he says is not always going to come true and tbh I think his speculation about the 4lz is on par with fans'. if yuzu ends up adding the 4lz it's not proof Max is a concrete source of info.
  16. but he's not. he doesn't have access to TCC. he is just a commentator who tweets his thoughts and guesses about Hanyu because he likes the attention he gets for it. He might hear some things fans don't backstage at comps and stuff but he is not a super-tight, infallible source.
  17. This isn't a terrible risk tbh by the mid-point of last season his 4lo was pretty stable, it has really good in-competition landing rates
  18. absolute maximum for seimei is around 242 absolute maximum for chopin iirc is 115? so absolute +3 GOE on everything 10s across the board combined score is around 357 buuuut he's bound to get some goes closer to +2 or +1 and some pcs scored nearer to 9.75 or 9.5 so a somewhat realistic-ish best score is around 350 ishhhh. like 350 is still a maximum score he could receive but it's a maximum he could potentially actually reach.
  19. why stop and breaking COP when you can smash it to a fine dust? i still hope zuzu will stay a season or 2 after PC but if he achieves what he wants this season (Evgenia levels freakish consistency or at least two clean programs at Olympics) he's going to have a verrry long lived legacy and a rock-solid claim to being the greatest of all time. which i want for him. so so so so so much.
  20. yes hahaha I love him when he's confident. like hes somehow humble but also not self-deprecating and is realistic - he IS good at every aspect of skating, thats why he's a big deal. Anyone someone asked for max scores and now I'm SHOOK because going off a 4lz layout, previous seimei pcs and an attempt at reasonable GOE distribution (based off previous goe earned) I've figured out seimei 2.0 could get like 235 - 240 points if skated clean and to good quality, which means if he did do 2 good, clean programs next season it's possible he could score like 350 points. Given that he's training to improve stamina, in excellent condition, and is aiming for consistent clean programs .......
  21. Hearing Yuzu is healthy and in his best condition is very, very, very happy news. Zuzu, keep looking after yourself <3
  22. I woke up to sorta check if there was any title yet....that hes holding back the program titles makes me feel kinda anxious
  23. I'll like that tbh. I'm still low key rooting for Toccata&Fugue or Danse Macabre but only cuz i just like it
  24. -_________- I am still awake because I hoped they'd say what the music is in the interviews. I can't don;' want to stay awake for the open practices when i will see the video whenever i choose to wake up and this troll isnt gonna share til the practices
