Okay, late as promised *cough*, the results for the CoR prediction round are here! Aaaaaaand... ...she says, while winning (No Yata, I have no idea how you did it either, must be natural talent ) Overall results: 1.) Yatagarsu, 35 points 2.) kitsune, 34 points 3.) Singcarcom, Li'Kitsu, 33 points For the single disciplines: Lil Sailor won the Men's event with 12 points, followed by kitsune and Sayu93 with 9 points. Then came what feels like at least 90% of participants with 7 points In the ladies event, 3 members had the maximum points (14) - kitsune, Kelly Ng and Singcarcom. Ice Dance had 3 completely right predictions too, from golden, Yata and me. In Pairs the highest number comes from Altie with 12 points, followed by a pretty big number of posters with 8 points. If you want to check in detail, here is the google spreadsheet including everyones exact results. It will be updated after every GP of course! Congratulations to all the winners so far! PS: A right answer for a bonus question always gave you 2 points. I can't make the answers you gave visible for everyone on the site itself, but I can download them as PDF files and will add that in tomorrow - but I'll focus on the questions for SC first!

If you want to, that is fine - for the CoR predictions, that would mean only doing part 1, which includes Men & Ladies. I'll sort points per disciplines, so that you still get a ranking with only those disciplines. However, I'd echo Yata, just take a guess First time I played a prediction game I had seen 2 Ice Dance programs in my life, and it ended up being my best discipline

Of course you should - think of all the lovely bragging rights coming with it
-
Hey, being wrong can also be fun - I don't expect to do well with it either Or do you mean you're a jinx xeyra? Then simply predict Yuzu losing
-
Hey everyone - I just wanted to drop in to shamelessly advertise tell you that there will be GP prediction game in the Skating KnickKnacks subforum, just look here. Everything you need to know should be is in there, so I'd be happy if you take a look

Hello, good morning and welcome to all of you orbiting through fluffy Pooh space With the Olympic season already underway and the GP series quickly approaching, it is about time we come together to unleash our inner prophets, oracles, fortune-tellers, doomsayers, jinxers and coin flippers – and meet in an epic battle about points, points, points and bragging rights to see who’s tea leaf reading skills will proof the best. Are you ready for 7 rounds of nail bitingly suspenseful horoscope creating? 7 Weeks of nerve shatteringly difficult crystal ball visions about those golds and silvers and bronzes? Well, I sure hope so! (because otherwise, this is awkward ) In all seriousness though – welcome everyone to the Planet Hanyu GP series prediction game. It will basically include what it says on the tin - predictions about the 6 GP events + the GPF, and is solely there for all of us to have fun. So to say the most important thing up ahead: there is no qualification to participate, even if you don’t know all the skaters from all disciplines or sometimes really have no idea what would be realistic – just take a guess, throw a coin or use the randomizer – and be potentially surprised how that can get you more points then an “educated” prediction sometimes. Ice is slippery and all! Also, Fay & team are setting up threads to introduce the skaters of different GPs and help you a bit if you are unfamiliar with some 😊 We'd be happy if many of you participated! Explanation & rules: Links to Questionnaires for the single events: (So far: Warm-up round, CoR, SC) Google spreadsheet containing everybodys points here. Google spreadsheet containing everyones detailed answers for closed rounds here. And PDFs showing you the overall answers from the Planet Hanyu Cassandra trainee team are here:

I would like to point out that my comment wasn't so much about the magazine/banner/gift topic, but really about the perception of Yuzu fans in general, and how much of that isn't true. The other stuff... well those aren't that big to me either. Gifts and banners are usually fun, but if the venue doesn't support it, it is what it is - and as you say, it's not just against Yuzu gifts/banners. Topics were it gets 'hotter' are those like ticket distribution - there were rumors regarding older events in Nagoya that they managed to distribute their tickets very specifically to locales, making it even harder for fans of non-local skaters to get there, and therefor skewing the audience very much to the benefit of specific skaters. I don't even think that those would be such rare occasions or only happening in Japan. And yes, me being 'an old jaded fan', I honestly expect less Yuzu fans to be able to make it to the GPF (and to a lesser extent nats) then NHK. And then there are those old rumors and issues that fans of other skaters tried to block Yuzu fans from making it to his competitions by buying tickets and then either not going or not clapping/cheering for Yuzu at all (the part with people going to a comp and then not clapping for Yuzu at all is definitely true, happened more then once in Japanese competitions between 2012-14). So there is also a lot of baggage there. The fact that some BS is being done doesn't help (like the mentioned pictures that are faked to make Shomas jumps look bigger - and the responsible people don't learn, there are new once, just as badly done, from Lombardia) - just makes it easier to question everything else too. It's one big mud hole at this point.
-
And isn't it frustrating? Heck, I even saw people dismiss someone like Max Ambesi just for his open love for Yuzu's skating. Yuzu has a huge fandom, are there people in between who really only like him for his looks and don't care for his athletic achievements & skating, or don't care about skating itself? Likely. But it's never fair to judge the majority of fans just by a few "bad apples". And those pushing that stamp onto all his fans, well.... it shows that it is difficult for a lot of people to handle Yuzus popularity - from those just honestly feeling overrun by a hype they personally don't get (which is fine and "their right") to those just flat out bitter.
-
Cupcakes?
-
Of course not! ^^" It really wasn't ideal planning that some things that would have been worth seeing overlapped. It would have been sad for the ladies too if noone came to the victory ceremony, so really there was no winning once those things happened at the same time. My comments refered to the spread statements that Yuzu fans just didn't show up for other skaters - not because something else happened at the same time, but just because they apparently don't care. I'm sorry if that wasn't clear
-
Ehm, could you please not? It's bad enough that these rumors of Yuzu fans being disrespectful en masses towards other skaters were spread by other people, but bringing it up here like this... the comments spreading from ACI have basically been proofen BS, by other fans who were there (look here). While a SMALL part of Yuzu fans might really only come for him, it's nothing but unfair, baseless slender against the majority. I've been to competitions before (2013 TEB, 2015 GPF, 2017 WC) and in none of them did I see Yuzu fans leaving in between another skaters performance, or act in any other way disrespectful. Most of them clap and give SO just as much as well. Sure, some come later, but it's sadly common practice for fans from many backgrounds to leave out the earlier groups. I don't see any reason at all why other skaters should have to be 'protected' from Yuzu fans. To be frank, quite a few other skaters would have less audience & applause themselves if it wasn't for the Yuzu fans going to competitions for him. The Pooh rain is understandable, as it affects the next skater, but other then that - claiming JSF are doing the 'right thing' by limiting Yuzu fans in their actions (if that is what they are doing) is IMO unjustified.
-
So Yuzu, be a nice senpai, stick until 2022...? It is good to see Sota back on ice at all, even with only singles. Hopefully he will really get back to full health and come back, no matter how long it takes. All the best Sota!!

Wakabas LP looks breathtaking. She has so much power and the choreo & music are perfect for her. Why can't it be Lombardia time already?? PS: and I have to be shallow - she is sooooo preeeeeetty. When we see her walking to the arena at the beginning and she has that big smile on, it warms my heart
-
Two more pics of Wakabby: 1 2 (Links lead to the Waka tumblr, original sources are here: 1, 2 ) (And yes, I'm copying it in like this because I never get the pics copied form the sponichi site ) She's the ugliest peasant around I say, ugliest of them all
-
I want videos, Japanese TV, give us videos, videos, videos!!! *gets pitchforks* VIDEEEEOOOOOOOOOOOOs!!! (Seriously though, we have both programs of Kaori & Marin, the SPs of Mai & Satoko.... but nothing from Waka. Lombardia can't come fast enough!)
-
Hopefully it's good! Her LP last season IMO wasn't good enough for her, and maybe a better one will make her catch a bit less flack. She'll still have plenty of detractors for winning stuff & other curiosities, but still.
-
I would actually prefer to design the costumes then again, I think we should try our hand at choreo for Zhenya, can't do much worse then Averblah....
-
I would rather propose a "Who needs lifts when you can jump more" tactic. Given how flexible Yuzu is though, can you imagine the possible Pair spins?
-
Only if she throws him, otherwise he'd be sulky she gets to jump more than him
