Yes and no. They have an anti-stalking Act but not very enforced from what I heard. Their definition of stalking is very lax, and just looking from afar is not considered as invading someone's privacy. By Japan's definition of stalking, this "magazine" (although they don't deserve to be called anything else but trash) doesn't fall into their criteria I think. However, I know that in the past they did cross the line, and their invading advances stopped. Maybe someone from Japan can confirm this. I dislike speaking about them as well, but they also need to be called out. If someone saw them near Yuzu, it has to be made known so matters can be taken into hands by whomever is responsible for these cases.

It's a good article and obviously a lot of work has been put into it but it focuses mainly on the numbers instead of the whole package which is whether the scores are deserving or not. On the other hand, this might exactly be what the author was trying to do which is also good. The fact that fans can see a skater's errors but the judges somehow turn a blind eye to them is the main issue in my opinion and the lack of accountability creates tension and distrust. At the bottom of the article there is an invite to sign the petition. I've seen the list of signatures and people have been singing since September 2019. The fact that in over a year there have "only" been 10k people signing it, shows that a) the petition is not being circulated enough, b) people are not interested because they know it's fruitless or c) they just don't agree. ISU has made it clear they are turning a deaf ear to what fans say and no matter what we do, they just won't listen. The only way this can happen is if big news outlets call them out and make a scandal out of it. Not just figure skating media but the big shots such as CNN, BBC, The New York Times, etc. but this is also a pipeline dream because FS is nothing compared to the size of other sports (football, NFL, tennis, basketball, etc). Times like these I wish I had stuck to my fleeting desire when I was 18 of studying sports journalism. That way I could create hell right now and make ISU's life impossible.

As far as I could tell no. Maybe there is someone on the Planet from that area who could say for sure but I googled it and all ice rinks seems to be working during Christmas season only. I just re-checked again and there seems to be one, but instead of having Manchester in its name it has Altrincham so maybe that's why I didn't think there was. Anyway. Yuzu. He's in hiding again. Completely off topic, no Yuzu and no FS related (maybe a little, at the end) but I'm telling everyone I come across, because... I'm that annoying. But yesterday, after being made redundant from my job back in November, I finally found a new opportunity. I was so worried, just like everyone else. The London job market is really tough right now because of how high unemployment rate is, so getting a job has been almost mission impossible for a lot of my ex-colleagues (which are 700+ by the way). I myself had to decide to look for something out of London, which means from mid-February I will be living in Manchester (and having to drive to Sheffield for the closest ice rink ). Also got my ego boosted with how badly the hiring manager wanted to hire me

I dunno, I just can't see Yuzu skating to a tango - any tango - and I can't really put my finger on why exactly that is. I liked Yuna Kim's interpretation but even then I missed the intricacies of the foot work and except for the music, it didn't really feel like I was watching someone dance tango. So maybe it's a general thing for me, where I'm unable to connect figure skating with tango. Switching to the spin invalidation now.
