Don’t know if this has been posted but it seems Park Sung Hoon is retiring from skating and trying to debut as an idol? Not sure how it works but wishing him all the best in his new career path! (Don’t know if he actually mentioned retiring from skating but I presume you can’t be an idol and competitive figure skater at the same time?)

Haha I think maybe it's also because some fanyus didn't get the memo? I've met a few people who have zero knowledge of figure skating as a whole and literally only know Yuzu so they just click on random videos if it says Yuzu is in it X)

Question to fellow skaters: Do you guys leave your soakers on the blades all the time when you are not skating? Or do you just leave them on for a while after a skate to absorb moisture and then remove them and let your skates air dry? I'm terrible at taking care of my skates so I'm trying to change that...

I agree with you that there are many diverse life experiences outside of romance - romance is just but one of the many experiences humans have in life. And he’s already had programmes with a theme of romance! He skated to two different versions of R&J and also POTO (although I’m not sure - was he depicting the Phantom, or Christine more?)

Regarding the romantic love thing, I do agree with you that romantic love can be an emotion an artist expresses! For example, there are countless pieces of music out there written regarding the joy and pain of romantic love. We all know Yuzu is in love with the ice, but loving a human and loving the ice are very different things in my opinion! But since Yuzu is very private about his personal life (as he has every right to be), I think we can’t just assume he’s never dated/been in a relationship? And even if he hasn’t, there’s a chance he might have had crushes in the past or even present too. Of course I am not saying Yuzu should or should not experience romantic love (that’s none of my business) but I just feel I can’t assume anything about his romantic life since he doesn’t reveal anything about it heh.

Henni, I’m so sorry for your loss. I hope things will get better for you and your family. I’m glad that the similarities you found between Yuzuru and Apollo made you smile, and I hope you can find comfort.

Lmao took me some time but I finally figured out the comments with microphone emojis - another page that posted the same thing about Yuzu (the first screenshot of the tweet) belongs to what looks like law and order of Sichuan, and a bunch of pages belonging to various courts commented the microphone emojis - a commenter on Weibo took a screenshot of those and asked if these were planned XD

No clue haha, but regarding the "setting hearts on fire" thing, I looked up the post on Weibo and indeed, one of the comments say "is it because Yuzu sets hearts on fire?" (芳心纵火犯) The literal translation would be "heart arsonist" but I think it means being a heartthrob! (not very familiar with this phrase, do correct me if I am wrong)

I don't understand the Japanese, but the post in Chinese is about Yuzu getting the MVS award and winning 4cc, achieving the super slam, and breaking world records many times. The comments are just people commenting emojis of what looks like a microphone, it seems? Don't get it either hahaha Oh about the prison thing, the name of the account who wrote that post seems to be the name of a prison. Edit: did some Googling and it seems that the account belongs to Chuanxi Prison in Sichuan province, China.

Hmm, just my personal opinion but I doubt a casual FS viewer will take the time to read articles! Depends on how you define casual FS viewer too haha. Nearly all of my friends, family and acquaintances know nothing about FS and the only people they know are Yuna Kim and Yuzu, and sometimes Nancy Kerrigan and Tonya Harding. The only FS videos they have watched would be Yuna’s 2010 Olympic free skate and Yuzu’s 2018 Seimei haha

Why are people always writing negative articles about Yuzu though? (Forgive my ignorance, I’ve only been here for less than a year) Especially since no one knows whether Yuzu will go for 2022 (maybe even Yuzu himself doesn’t know)
