The day I saw Yuzu defy gravity and launch into a perfect quad with the lightness and ease of a cat and keep that immaculate air position and land with the grace and elegance - I realised I saw something exceptional. The fact he could glide across the ice at a huge speed and spin fast was a bonus... but I did try to resist for some while!

Look for Skate Canada gala practice then? He was wearing the costume then, not sure he pulled it off, though. I think he did, though.

Well, he's also human. Things are easier to do when you don't have complex choreography before it. And a grueling competition just a day prior... but yeah, I'd love to see that sandwich axel again - as well as the Ina Bauer straight into an axel too.

Get The NHK Trophy ex aka the Swan for 2016. That was the only time he pulled it off immaculately.

It didn't work often enough to risk it in the competition - but the twizzle sandwich is gorgeous!

Well, in that respect he's like Yuzu - one can forgive anything Yuzu wears (nearly everything!) for the sake of seeing him skate...

That's a wig, don't worry. I wouldn't be able to fall asleep in such glaring colours!
