  6. Guys, Yuzuru Hanyu is a legend already - the fact widely accepted by many of his fellow skaters, he doesn't have to prove anything. If he loses in Pyongchang, it's not the end of the world, but I'm sure that if he's well, he'll fight for that title. But what matters now is his health, nothing is more important than that.
  7. I understand that phrase is the reason the news actually deserved any mention. Sorry, I'm bitter about this. I hate such blatant self-aggrandising.
  8. Argh, did they have to insert the info about Chen the undefeated skater this season into this?
  9. Get well, Yuzu, nothing else matters that much.

  11. Well, I found the program - she does jump her triple loops, at least.
  12. Fresh update - they've just shown Eteri's group on TV, and Zhenya seems to have got onto ice for the first time like yesterday. She says her leg/foot feels wooden. But they seem to have shown her jump. Reported from a Russian forum. I just don't get why...
  13. Especially during this Yuzu-drought...
  14. And I'm just too lazy to check last year's results, so it was just picking random names at times. With girls... it's hard to say what is going to happen.
  15. Choosing substitutes for men and pairs is... quite entertaining. Another round of guessing game completed!
  16. One could also plagiarise pay tribute to great programs...

  18. There will be haters, but they're a tiny minority, so I wouldn't say they matter that much. The world of male figure skating lacks a lot when Yuzu isn't around - something acknowledged and emphasized by our commentators, so he deserves to be there over anyone else. The top priority is his health now.
  19. Please, could we calm down? I watch a lot of forums - apart from one exception - nowhere did I see any hint that Yuzu should be barred from the Olympics. Everyone's pretty anxious and upset about the news so far.
  20. Well, I'd go for men too with Japanese Nationals - doesn't change a thing now. no lists of competitors for Russian nationals yet - though they did promise them today. And yeah, I'd say that top six competitors should be enough. But we can shorten it to top three, if it should feel too unwieldy.
  21. No idea. I'm not too sure on his edge jumps either, that's just something I seem to have heard from someone. Sorry if I slandered poor Shun!
  22. Ok, let's get the competitors first! there might be a few withdrawals too...
  23. Not really. I can just look him up... oh yeah, Yoshinori Onishi, Tatsuki Machida's coach. And one Etsuya Koseki before that.
  24. On Wednesday we should learn who's taking part in the Russian Nationals... if I can lend a hand there, I'm here.
  25. His edge jumps leave quite a lot to be desired, so I heard... so far the junior boys roster in Japan looks far from optimistic to me. I like Mitsuki, but with his present arsenal he is not competitive
