Yes, the location will influence, that's true. I didn't mean to strictly follow the PH population, just that it can give us a general idea. It's a it of both, I guess? For instance, and based on ACI, for both SC and worlds in Montreal, going for USA/Canada/Japan/China is probably the safest bet if we want to distribute the extra banners to other fans (there were a lot of Japanese & Chinese fans at ACI, traveling to NA doesn't seem to scare them). GPF is another story, it's harder to predict with so many European countries In the end, it depends on what we want to do with this project: do we just add extra banners (to whatever PH members need) to reach 200 in time for the closest competition (SC - > US/Canada banners are the obvious choice then)? Or do we want to plan ahead and aim to share banners at various competitions this year? (then we'd need a bit more variety in flags for GPF so it's more complicated) Or, we can also complete the number with a more generic banner, like the yellow banners that were given by the Chinese fans at ACI... Less "country-focused", I know, but easier to plan... I think this is my favorite design as well, sort of the best of both worlds. We'd have to see for longer names, but maybe the simple black fond makes it easier to read than before?

We have stats on the origin of members if we want to try that, you could go for the most common countries to fill up to 200. I'm commenting a bit late, but I also prefer the original design because the full names of some countries are way too long. And as someone who is from one of those countries with a flag that only few will recognize... Well, I don't really care personally. I'm doing this mostly to show the diversity of countries/flags, not highlight mine in particular. I agree that making the outer line of the heart thicker would improve the visibility. Also, depending on the fabric, we might want to leave a bit more blank space on the edges, as these parts tend to be more deformed than the center when held.

Exactly my thoughts. No mention of Camden (with a new quad!). Jun medaled at GPF! Keegan qualified for GPF too! Kevin is one the top Europeans! To relegate all of them as "below top 10 at worlds" is so ignorant. I'm sure their memory wouldn't be so selective if not for who is headlining the event.

When I read it yesterday I wanted to complain on the related tweet from NBC. But I don't want to give them more publicity On top of their downplay of Yuzu, I find the sheer disrespect shown to the rest of the lineup quite frankly disgusting. Whoever wrote that "article" cannot be a true lover of figure skating.

Have you seen the hashtag #あなたの応援バナー見せてください ("please show us your supporting banners") on Twitter ? Lots of fanyu banners (someone also reposted our group picture, I guess we made some fans happy with our banners?)

In short it says that in their bid for the Beijing 2022 OWG title, they need to pace & plan carefully their preparation so this year they choose to only do nationals & Europeans ("quality over quantity"). SLB & CD are the choreographers they'll be working with until the Olympics. And the Zimmermans will supervise their training in the US.
