  1. Considering the Covid situation in China, I think the Olympics will probably take place without an audience. To be honest, I think no audience would not only be safer than an arranged audience, it would also be fairer. After all, how can it be that normal audiences, even domestic ones, don't have a chance to watch the competitions, while people who work in certain places or have certain connections get to watch? No audiences would be the best solution.
  2. I'm waiting for Yuzu to do 4As on land for his warm-up.
  3. Well said! I agree. Yuzu is Yuzu because of who he is and what he does. His skating is far beyond and above anything else any other skater can deliver. He has always stayed true to himself and his desire to create beauty, art, and quality beyond the sheer need to collect points. There is a sincerity about him and his skating that shines even brighter in the midst of all this corruption. This is one of the things I admire the most above him. I believe this is also one of the reasons why he's so beloved by so many people around the world. People can feel that he performs with all his heart and soul and doesn't just go through the motions. People can see that he delivers the highest quality and creates magic and beauty on the ice.
  4. Of course all the unfair and biased judging is exhausting. I used to get angry and frustrated, but I've gotten to a point where I just shake my head and roll my eyes at ridiculous scores and put my focus back on Yuzu and his skating. Yuzu seems to have renewed his confidence. He's still in the game and he's better than ever. I feel like there is a new calmness about him. He knows what's important to him and what his strengths are. I'm just grateful that I get to watch and accompany him on his journey to achieving even more of his dreams and goals. I'm trying to send him positive energy and stay positive myself. This whole pandemic situation has been hard on everybody and Yuzu has been a beacon of light for me. So, I choose to focus on Yuzu's light.
  5. After years of being exposed to this kind of ridiculous hype, overscoring, and propaganda, I've gotten to a point where it doesn't even bother me anymore. I treat it like white noise. I only focus on Yuzu and his skating and the joy and pleasure I get from watching him. I marvel at how obviously superior his performances are to anyone else. I'm simply grateful that he's still competing, improving, and gifting us with more extraordinary, wonderful programs and performances. Every moment I get to see him on the ice is precious to me.
  6. Thank you for the info. But considering the scoring issues in figure skating, this seems to be a mere theoretical approach to fair judging.
  7. Rondo-chan is making his debut and all the other fairies are supporting him from the side of the rink.
  8. I watch ski jumping on a regular basis. A few days ago, I heard a commentator on German TV talk about the scoring of the jump landings. In ski jumping, the distance of the jumps is the most decisive factor. But apart from that, the quality of the landings gets scored, which also makes quite a difference in the total amount of points an athlete gets. The commentator said that after every competition, a committee of experts meet and talk about the scoring of the jumps. They look at how each judge scored the jumps and whether there were judges who scored in an inappropriate way. This then decides if a judge will be allowed to judge future competitions. When I heard that, my jaw dropped. A group of experts reviewing scores after a competition and deciding whether they were appropriate or not? Excluding judges who did a poor job and not letting them judge anymore? Figure skating could never!
  9. Considering the Covid situation in the world as well as in China, I wouldn't be surprised if there will be no audiences at the Beijing Olympics at all. It's such a pity that Chinese Fanyus can't enjoy a normal competition watching Yuzu, cheering wildly for him, and giving him the most epic Pooh rains. Either way, I believe Yuzu will handle every audience situation with grace and confidence. I'm sure he'd also prefer full ice rinks with cheering fans, but he has all the mental and emotional strength, the maturity, and the experience necessary to perform at his best under all kinds of circumstances. I just hope he stays happy and healthy and takes good of himself.
  10. Wow! That looks so impressive!
  11. Yuzu is sooo beautiful! This post has been tagged by yuzuangel as [NEWS].
  12. Wow! Yuzu's timing is just perfect. He doesn't even need to hear the music.
  13. This is probably how he rolls out of bed every morning. I'm waiting for Yuzu to do 4As on dry land as his warm-up exercise.
  14. Yes! And this new year is the year of the tiger, too! Another one of the mysterious coincidences in Yuzu's life and career? I mean, what better time for him to achieve even more greatness and make his greatest dreams come true?
  15. What?!? Shoma and Marin are dating?!? Does anybody know if this is true?
  16. Another Happy New Year from the little fairies! May Yuzu stay happy and healthy and fulfill his dreams and goals.
  17. OMG! This edit is awesome! Yuzu's beauty is just supernatural. With this, I wish you all Happy New Year! May 2022 bring you happiness and good health!
  18. This is the translation of Yuzu's message. [NEWS]
  19. Where is the "I love them all" button? This poll reminded me yet again how many outstanding programs Yuzu has already skated and given life to. There are so many unforgettable masterpieces, most of which only he can perform. The variety of his music choices is also amazing. Another thing I love about Yuzu's programs is how recognizable and unique every single one is. It's obvious how much thought, love, and effort flows into every single program. Every program has its own personality. And then Yuzu's costumes! Each and every single one is a piece of art all by itself that supports the overall expression of a program and makes the program instantly recognizable and unique.
  20. This caption is so funny! Pure comedy gold!
  21. Aaawww... This is so sweet! Yuzu is such an inspiration to so many people.
  22. And spending lots and lots of time with Ice-chan!
  23. Yuzu doesn't age. He just becomes more and more beautiful with time. ETA:
  24. I even came across an article about Yuzu's comeback at Japanese Nationals in Austria's most popular newspaper. Figure skating is basically non-existent here and no news media ever reports about it except perhaps an article or two during the Olympics.
  25. Yuzu was also mentioned on Chinese national TV. Yep, he's definitely big news in China. [NEWS]
