  1. This gives me at least a good feeling. Hope he can enjoy his birthday with his family and healing happily!
  2. Saw that coming but it still break my heart ;w;. Hope he rest well and get well soon!
  3. It's because Yuzu pop his second jump from 4T into 3T so the base value was very much decreased compare to GPF (from 10.3 for 4T to 4.3 for 3T without the GOEs). So even if he didn't fall on his 3Lz like at GPF, where he lost about 4-5 points because of the fall and UR, he still didn't get quite high score in WTT. That's how high scoring the Quad is, it is also why some Quadster with a falls can wins against skater with a clean program that has lower base value.
  4. Oh this topic I want to join in so much So the list of my favorite Yuzu's costume so far is this 1. Swanyu - my absolute favorite , he looks so beautiful and ethereal, so sad I never get to see him live as Swanyu, though 2. Let's Go Crazy PPOS - because of how bold and fitting it is 3. Origin - IMO this looks like black version of Swanyu so of course I love it (and the see-through fabric and leaves and details ) 4. Phantom 2.0 - yeah so all my favs are form-fitting costume because we can clearly see the Waist(TM) 5. Seimei (both 1.0&2.0) 6. R&J 1.0 7. Etude - just because I think he's too young for that costume when he first skate in it, I think it fits more for a 23-Year-Old Yuzu, same as H&L 8. Ballad No.1 9. Requiem & Haru Yo Koi Special Ranking 10 R&J 2.0 << I totally love the sleeves and rhinestones, especially the wrists, if only he get rid of the boobskirt would totally make the rank
  5. I think whether he will continue on after this season or to next Olympics or even 2026 or not depend not on his age but mostly on his motivation. As BOser said, he always needs a goal in mind or have something to achieve. By far all his dreams he's been saying since the start is pretty much complete, except for the 4A. So If he landed Nessie this season, we'll have to see if he will have another goal in mind or not. If so, I would love to see him continue as long as he want to
  6. My thought exactly when I first see this photo LOL. Now Yuzu would have to find new partner to throw him for 4A. My guess will be b) with maybe not a WR in SP b/c it's new program but he might get close with clean program. But FS will most likely be Pop concert or a dying Yuzu because of the 30 sec cut out that caused all the Men to struggle with their pancakes
  7. Considering most of the well-know Japanese men won 4cc. I wonder if Yuzu will ever break his 4cc silver curse or Shoma will break his too-much-silver curse first LOL
  8. Well.... he's just adding 1 more rotation to his 3Axel so he's staying true to his own advice....
  9. The kid that said they want to do Quints. Yuzu look what you did
  10. Yokohama is the last stop and it opens until 20 August. So if you live in Kanto area you should visit! But if you live in other part of the country then maybe need to travel. http://yomiuri-photo.com/yh/
  11. My favorite program ever. I'm all for Swanyu every day. Thank you very much
  12. You definitely should go to Sendai! Some country have direct flight to Sendai Airport but if not you can go using Shinkansen from Tokyo. There's JR Pass for Tourist that can save a lot of cost. You will see a Yuzu cardbord cut at travel information at Sendai station (I'm not sure if he's the travel embassy or something). Where you can also go in and ask for a lot of information. They are more than willing to help you with your Yuzu journey. Place worth visiting will be Ice Rink Sendai where there will be a lot of his stuff and picture I recommend you spend at least 3 days in Sendai to visit places. Other than the Yuzu-relate stuff , which is almost everywhere, there's nice coast called 'Matsushima' near Sendai where there's nice view and serve delicious oysters
  13. I'm glad it doesn't look as bad as when I saw it. When he poped the 2nd 4S he fell down for a long time I started to worry if he's ok b/c I can't see it from my seat T_T (apparently he's on his butt and laughing his ass out) Too bad they didn't air the group hug after the fall that would be so cute ahgggg.
  14. Oh you have the record of Olympic Channel version? Can you upload please? Maybe just the last group is ok
  15. It still puzzled me how Bates can resist the "hand clasp begging face" from Swanyu till this day. His force is too strong!
  16. Shoma won't do SA because Nathan will be there and the Top 3 at Worlds cannot face each other in the GP assignment though.
  17. It just came to me that this could happen too. We all know that Yuzu is pretty beatable in the early seasons with his first pancake. If I were the US Fed I would want him against Nathan in SA so Nate could beat him in front of the home town crowd (so they could bragged about how their skater's the BEST like for beating Yuzu in free skate at OWG) , not to mention the Hanyuconomoy will make ticket sells like crazy. So another GP he will go might be NHK cause If the JSF have to choose between protecting Shoma's medal and marketing power of Yuzu, they might choose the latter. My guess would be SA and NHK but we'll find out soon anyway. Too bad I have to wait till maybe tomorrow cause I'm on GMT+7 and it's wayyyy faster than Toronto (Though I'm totally agree with most people that SC + NHK will be the best option for him but I think that could be Shoma's cause he got the first pick now and it very less likely that JSF will have the 2 against each other on 2 GPs)
  18. I like Kurt's comment at the OWG'18 after Kolyada's short program (where he risk doing 4Lz but fails and end up out of the last group in the free as well as Nate before him) "The mission of the short program is to survive (don't take unnecessarily risk) , unless you're YUZURU HANYU or a Skate God, then you can win it" LOL so true And then Carol's comment after Javi's skate his also perfect short program "You know, watching Yuzuru skate is like watching a Prince in his glass castle , untouchable , but then watching Javi is like, every man I want to have a beer with. Like watching two favorite movies back to back!"
  19. Thank you for the comparison! It's great to see that a clean skate is likely to get more fair point compare to the skate that has high BV but hasn't been done clean. Though I think "Nathan" might have got higher PCS if they does really go All Clean and get +3 across the boards, but I can see the comparison on what might happen now. I think if the judges do they job correctly, we can hope that the new change in SOV will make figure skate more interesting and more beautiful for this season Ci
  20. With the reduce of time and one less jump pass in the free program I can see that all the past score is reduce from their original score. I wonder if is it now possible for anyone to beat the WR Yuzu set at Worlds 2017 or is it going to stay forever until some rule change comes next. On the other hand, Yuzu could be the one to break his own record despite that odds.....
  21. OK so this thread not only gives me new idea about Patrick that I can't help feel a little bit of love and sympathy for him. It makes me give LOVE to the R+J 2.0 program and a LOT of respect to David Wilson for his choreographing as well. The step sequence for this piece would have been GORGEOUS had Yuzu has enough stamina to do them back then. I can now see why the Notte Stallata came out this emotional for us because now Yuzu can catch up with all the details in David's choreograph and bring them out to the fullest. I hope maybe one day we can have redemption for the R+J 2.0 and see them for what they were suppose to be, maybe in Ice show or some distance future once Yuzu retired and decide he want to skate them again *finger crossed*. Maybe without the Boobskirt (TM) this time LOL.
  22. It's a soundtrack from the movie Independence Day (1996) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T9-tu-7V9jQ
