  1. You guys got me suddenly really curious about a basically impossible scenario: Swan in LGC or Seimei costume?? Imagine him with his hair slicked-back, in purple pants or kariginu, doing the straightening feather pose... sorry I just laughedand dead at the same time(WPoH might actually pull it off though. Narcissus was a boy. It would be so fitting.)
  2. Re: ex numbers, if he's going to be location/competition-specific this season, then my guesses would be hana wa saku/requiem for NHK, Story for GPF, hana ni nare for Nationals, RJ2/LGC for Olys, and swan for Milan.
  3. Iirc 22 was the day of gala & there was no open practice? I have a video of a beautiful cool down, with a spiral and all, but it was on the 20th.
  4. Lol this picture to go with this title
  5. Cor, so much red... I know that Yuzu's gonna look nice in it nonetheless, judging by how he pulled off the trashbag team jacket brilliantly in the past. But the design itself... Why the heck use an expansive color in such big and unfitting chunks??? The Sochi official sportswear wins by miles
  6. Random fun fact: Near the beginning of the season LGC was called 走疯大佬("Go-Crazy-sama") by Chinese fans. But approaching the end of the season it became young and adventurous 疯疯 ("Crazy-chan") who is always rescued by the kind Fairy H&L...
  7. I wonder, how much do 3000 rhinestones weigh? Poor Yuzu, probably you wouldn't need to starve yourself before the free if only you could give up some of the shinies... But no, who am kidding
  8. From Misha's Weibo: "Practice hard every day, from the ground to the ice, for a brilliant debut at the Winter Olympics."
  9. To have a convo like that we need Yuzu to bomb really, really hard...
  10. I'm in. Reduce the presence of p***** on the planet like we did to r*****! And look at how that worked out
  11. Interestingly, Yuzu actually has the highest BV layout attempted this season. His planned 5-quad layout is 111.26. Shoma's 5-quad layout at Lombardia is 109.09. Nathan's 6-quad one at worlds is 112.87. So even in the BV aspect, Yuzu is not letting anyone take much advantage either. (Of course, we have to consider that 1)Yuzu hasn't come very near to executing this layout yet, and 2)the others have Schrodinger's layouts and could attempt 6-7 quads with more in the second half. But nobody has succeeded in landing 6 quads in a program yet, either. I think it's a good thing that Yuzu has his layout more or less fixed earlier than the others. This way he'll have more time to stabilize. Just quit popping plz.)
  12. More photos featuring Yuzu and our banner https://twitter.com/mikappa78/status/924421994694582274
  13. I was so thrilled seeing this picture And the banner beside it says from Guangzhou & Liaoning of China. Makes me think its a good idea, signing your banner with a "from xxx," with your language, or with your flags like the Latino American one at CoR and that precious "Canada loves Yuzu." So that it'll be harder for the commentators & reporters to ignore us international fans. (Yuzu himself knows already, I've no doubt.)
  14. The impression I got from the perfect lutz's in the op is that they're really "easy," with a delayed rotation particularly obvious from my angle and no interruption in the flow whatsoever. The first I saw from the side and it stunned me with its sheer magnificence. The second I saw from the relatively far diagonal front, and I had to replay my video several times to tell that it wasn't a triple - it just looked so easy and with so much room to spare.
  15. I was super nervous and stiff on my seat to watch the opening quads at cor, but when the drum sounded I couldn't help moving my arms, doing the moves with him (in a restrained way lol) that I memorize so well...
  16. And when it's in Japan the encore would be Seimei in some Koi costume I wonder if Seimei-sama would be pleased to show up in some casual & colorful shirt If he gets grumpy we'll see Yuzu falling on gala 3A again!
  18. I remember in the TV interview after WTT they said that the difficulty of jumps to each individual is different, thus why Boyang learnt 4Lz before 4Lo and Shoma 4F before 4S etc. From what I read generally I get the impression that edge jumps esp. quads requires really great control, which could make them more difficult for many people than 4Lz, a toe jump. Also, I guess when you only have time to try to stabilize one quad, going for Lutz is really economical, since even if you fall, as long as you rotate, you get as much as a shakily landed 4T.
  19. Thanks! Hope this power will help me through my 11 almost consecutive periods tomorrow too I'm the same most of the time, let's watch 4 years of GPF in a row before opening that Word file...xD But I guess the scale of the truanting this time just got my subconscious alerted lol.
  20. Spent a few days on earth, got back to the planet & caught up with like 50 pages. Just another day for a happy little satellite Normally if Yuzu's competition coincides with class, I just sit at the back of the lecture room, open the stream muted while taking notes, and put on earphones (hidden under my hair lol) when its Yuzu's turn... Or if it's some unavoidable social events, I just excuse myself to the restroom for a few minutes But this time I'm skipping four days of class to fly to Moscow to see him live! Crazy me and my priorities Luckily there're no tests around that time and I have friends to record the classes for me. In fact, in order to enjoy a carefree competition (as "carefree" as a Yuzu competition can be anyway...), I'm motivated to finish all my deadlines before going to CoR in any free time I've got. As a result, I think I've never been as ahead of my academic schedule in my life as right now, thanks to our Overlord
  21. The gift is 25 hand-painted folding fans all made with different costume themes from Yuzu's senior years. They're super delicate and detailed, just breathtaking. I believe it was posted on the planet like many many hundred pages ago... but here's a link to see them now The fan who made them says she's moved to tears to learn that her gift and good wishes are handled by Yumi-san with so much care. She knows that her love and gratitude have reached them and is appreciated and cherished. I feel so happy for her - the folding fans will surely be kept by the Hanyu family for a long long time!
  22. To qualify for the team event, a country has to have qualifying skaters in at least 3 individual disciplines. Japan has lady's and men's now, so we need to see if their pair or dance team can make it. The dance team has better chance iirc.
  23. Good idea, you might save lives! Thanks! I'll send signals back to the planet to stay sane!
  24. "Planning to challenge his most difficult layout at Cup of Russia next month." I'm bringing hyperventilation medicine with me to CoR... And stuffed baby poohs for the birth celebration of Lutz baby...
  25. Sort of, Chopin 1.0 went though several changes with its sleeves and maybe color.
