  1. All the pressure, attention and expectations. I’m always amazed and ever so grateful that Yuzu thrives on them. True champion material.
  2. And in the comment section someone says he seems to be in good condition. The poster replies, “he’s in great condition!”
  3. That hair is asking for being slicked back. Come on! mewantwantwant...
  4. The Olympics really gets A LOT of attention... Yesterday before the opening ceremony, my country’s central TV sports channel showed some fs including COR Seimei, and then I watched our biggest Yuzu info account’s followers grew from 250k to 260k in a single day...
  5. Regarding the problem with blank pages, maybe one way to solve it would be using a nice loose leaf leather binder? It also makes writing messages at the competition easier, especially when there’s a group. The downside is that a binder might not look as fine as a book.
  6. I like this title quote from Brian. Last time I remember yuzu saying something like training with blood and tears/sweat, was right after NHK Seimei...
  7. Remember last time 家庭畫報 went out of stock too almost no time after the glasses!pudding!yuzu photos came out? This cover is much more destructive than that...
  8. Me too, my big exam is on 11th morning But it might not be true. I saw someone say that it could be because they use news articles as sources, and some articles say that he’s arriving “after the opening ceremony on the 9th.” They might have misinterpreted.
  9. “Orser is perhaps the smartest man in skating, so one has to wonder if there isn’t something of a mind game going on here as his comments continue to ramp up. Surely all of Hanyu’s competitors or their coaches are reading what Orser is saying and being impacted by his statements.” I like their way of thinking... Probably because if it is true there’s a bigger chance of 2*3A staying in the lp... I feel insecure without them both there qwq. Btw, Aera just went out of stock on Amazon. How long has it been, 5 hours?
  10. I’d think it’s done during summer in Japan together with all the other cm shootings?
  11. From what I’m seeing it’s alright No.1 on new magazines ranking... and what’s better, is that there’s a quota on how many copies you can buy No one can order more than 6 copies from Amazon... Did they learn their lesson from pre-order sold-out 家庭畫報? I think this is more like quad loop. Unusual, dangerously attractive, but also with this innocent purity. I’d imagine 3A to bear something more like a sense of trust, confidence and grandeur🤔
  12. AERA...AERA...A...AH... (tries shakily to raise her hands up towards the sky. but finally dropped them with a “paa!” sound. and she’s dead. and not very peacefully.) My contribution’s in there. Ordered right after the cover appeared on my timeline... no, actually, ordered right after I finished screaming into my weibo.
  13. http://ryskkbysh.com/archives/16734 ”Yuzuru’s Costumes Through the Years” They misses a few junior costumes and ignored PW 1.0 and Ballade 1.0, but still there’re some nice photos
  14. Sendai city will stream Olympic men’s free skating on 2/17 on City Sport Center’s big screen. Entrance is free and citizens can gather to watch and cheer Yuzu on together. What a wonderful hometown... No wonder the city produces someone like Yuzu.
  15. And the only collared shirts are probably only because photo shoot stylist put him into them. Otherwise it would be sportswear!Yuzu forever and always!
  16. Let’s send Brian a basket or something
  17. Now that’s a problem. Pudding!Yuzu has navy shoulder parts but light blue collar, while Yuzu w/ pianist has light blue shoulder but navy collar. Hand-drawn Yuzu has navy collar and shoulder. I guess it only tells us no matter how you mix them Yuzu and blue never go wrong
  18. Not just any random shirt. THE pudding!Yuzu shirt!
  19. I think it was when somebody asked him about H&L, thought can’t recall where. His exact words left me a deep and clear impression though. “Some people hate me. A lot of people love me. So sometimes I’m sad and sometimes I’m happy.” And the program was about his life. (Though later it also became winds, rivers, ocean shores, forests and all sorts of nature)
  20. So it seems Nathan’s 4lutz isn’t quite back stable yet. Wonder if it stays so, what he’ll do for the lp layout. After all the only time he landed 5 quads this season was when he took out the lutz. Might depend on how others do.
  21. It doesn’t really have anything to do with Yuna or Yuzu. These kind of people just grab any random chance to vent their frustration in life on internet. It’s obvious they don’t understand a thing about figure skating, if they’re juxtaposing a male and a female skater score-wise, not to mention they’re from different eras. I wouldn’t count them as Yuna fans if they don’t even bother to understand her life’s commitment. It’s just blind internet violence. It won’t influence how Yuzu performs. It won’t influence how judges score. It won’t even influence Korean media’s love for him. So why let t get to you? (That said, I’m now feeling glad that the Oly tickets are so expensive that the price will keep out this kind of people. What does worry me, on contrary, is new fans that may bring k-pop fandom habits into skating. Following him to airports and hotels, flash lights and screaming in the arena during practice or when he jumps... In Yuna’s book she said that’s why she could never do very well competing domestically. I shudder at the thought of that possibility. )
  22. Yes, there’s one op on the 15th evening, though I guess it’ll more likely be Chopin since it’s the day before sp.
  23. After reading BO’s words, I feel that the week earned by avoiding TE will really make a difference. Plus, I just found out that not only Sui/Han but Boyang also seems he’s avoiding TE (judging by Boyang’s absence from team china arrival group photo), despite it being the first Olympics for them all. So more professional people are making the judgment that regular training and good rest is more important for top contenders than trying their hands at TE. It makes me happy (Plus the news that Olympic village guards are catching Norwalk virus from drinking water scares me so I’m glad Yuzu won’t stay there for long before comps. Hope Ajinomoto ships food and water for JPN athletes like they did before!)
  24. http://www.nbcolympics.com/news/coach-brian-orser-updates-gold-medalist-yuzuru-hanyus-injury-recovery Finally! An English article so that we get Brian’s own words. “He’s back jumping and… the whole past week was really good. Every day he was getting stronger and stronger. He’s training without pain, and being cautious and smart.” “It’s been quite a journey, actually. I’ve learned a lot about him and I think he’s learned a lot about himself. For me, I’m really impressed as to how he’s managed it and kept himself cool. We have a plan and we’re staying on it; every day is getting better. He’s quite remarkable.”
  25. https://headlines.yahoo.co.jp/hl?a=20180206-00050049-yom-spo Here Brian is quoted to say “Yuzu’s already started jumping quads in practice. From about a week ago he’s been returning to form in a surprising speed/ to a surprising degree.” (Again, very rough translation) Can’t tell from the Japanese if it was a week ago that he started to jump quad, or he jumped quads before but just hit the surprising degree from a week ago??? Someone better at Japanese help please!
