Tiny chest, you say?

Speaking of worlds 2014, I've been reading old posts at an FS forum in my country, and about 14WFC, while some say Yuzu gains advantage because of his OGG, others say that Machida's PCS soared unreasonably (for LP 82 at both GPF and OG, then 90 at WFC, while Yuzu's being 92, 91, 91 respectively). I'm not familiar with how PCS usually progress, and I'm curious about your opinion on this?

Re: the new version of Ballade highlighting Yuzu's "improvisation," with no set theme & expressing what he's feeling at the moment That's very interesting. It reminds me of how back at NHK 2015 he had that otherworldly fierce look on his face at the end of the program, and after noticing it he paid attention to contain his competitive self at GPF (this info is actually from one episode of Kenji no Heya). Now he's taking a different approach apparently. That could be a reason for why this new Chopin feels sharper, more commanding & powerful than before. Yuzu's "man on a mission" mode oozing out I suppose. I love it！

I think he's actually quite talented in languages, at least in the speaking part, despite English being the only subject causing him trouble in middle school. His English doesn't have any trace of the typical Japanese accent. His Russian's good. His "merci beaucoup" doesn't miss the uvular. And the several Chinese phrases I heard from him sound like someone who's been living in China for years - he got all the tones right, very impressive! I have foreign friends who can express themselves rather well in Chinese, but still don't sound as natural as him. Oh, all these little discoveries that make you fall for him a bit more each time!

He exchanged a few words in Russian along the lines of "how are you? fine thanks and you?" with Kovtun at Worlds though. The potential is there!

And the coach is based on the skater's actual coach, Shin Amano, whom a lot of you must know as the strict tech specialist. It would be in character for him to like Yuzu, I think.

A breathtaking photo. I notice that FS Fan Express' taste for covers has improved over time. The cover says that there will be photos from Makuhari & Niigata in it, so that means Kobe photos won't be included and are most likely exclusive for the (very expensive) FaOI official photo book. If that's true, it could explain the Great Kobe Draught of Any Image AT ALL. On a brighter note, it could also mean that the draught won't continue to Niigata. Fingers crossed for the flow of photos & videos to resume its natural course!

You know there are those cat coffee shops where you can go have coffee while petting cute cats they keep? Sendai Ice Rink could totally open a Yuzu coffee shop serving Yuzu magazines & high resolution video collections besides coffee... and occasionally an actual Yuzu! Though no one would dare to pet him I guess...

It's so sweet of Sendai Ice Rink! In the model picture of the future new lounge, they put Yuzu magazines in the background! Love from the home rink for always! This blogger recognized some of them:

Looking at Plushy and Yuzu's photo for the umpteenth time and a random thought: Yuzu's skin tone is whiter than an actual white man's... Oddly the only one I can think of who's got even whiter skin than Yuzu is Boyang, another (insanely fair-skinned) Asian male.

Awesome! Hope they live up to the reputation of the Japanese work ethics then! Tbh, after Gangneung & Helsinki I thought if the world of FS broadcasting were to fall, the Japanese ones would at least be our last hope. Then boom! FaOI disaster happened

Murieleirum‘s story above reminds me of someone I chatted with online. She only watches sports casually and once she saw Yuzu on TV, was surprised by all the people cheering him, and asked her Japanese colleague, "is he really popular in Japan?" And the colleague answered, "popular? He's basically a national treasure." Yes, any country would be so lucky to have such an athlete and person like Yuzu as their own.
