(A bit late, but) Rion Sumiyoshi announced that she will skip rest of the season due to right ankle injury. She had to skip regionals so now it isn't possible for her to go to Japan Junior Nats. -
But he is so beautiful. Imagine how amazing he would look if instead they used flowers and silk or chiffon.

Rika likes pink. I support Axellords who with power of 3a and Xylitol will defend world peace.

He has here better mesh than in his normal costumes. And it still sold out. #hanyuconomy

Looks like Rino Matsuike WD from JGP Egna. http://www.isuresults.com/events/cat03109496.htm -
This whole year is horrible. John Coughlin in January, Eunsoo, more and more skaters coming as survivors of abuse/harassment/bullying. Now Nobu...

Zuzu gentle smile;;;;

You know what is more interesting? Jump review doesn't include steps before. Marin's program isn't very packed *sobs*, but (with rare exceptions) all skaters have a moment of preparation before jumps, no matter how good their technique is or how big entry they had before. btw video isn't mine

Remember that they banned throwing gifts ON ICE. Not on, say, K&C.

Actually, I can't believe JSF is that dumb and announced it THREE MONTHS before JNats. Now fanyus have a lot of time to prepare something in exchange, with banners or whatever they are still allowed to do.

I don't think Kaori's situation is that bad. Lilbet scored 75 in SP at worlds with a salchow after all. Kaori isn't Eteri girl, but flip and loop are still competitive. And remember that she got 73 PCS (!) at worlds for a program with a big pop. She should be okay if she stays cleanish this season. About Lilbet, well, we will see at Shanghai Trophy I guess?

Also, Yuzuru aside, skaters aren't kids in school. They are able to handle loud and excited audience.

Yep. google translate: Nittaya, who is in the last season, Following SP, FS leads the way ❗️ Because it is the last, you can calm down and challenge This season Keep an eye out for programs that will be further refined👀 Congratulations! Now I wonder what with Ayaka. She also had to retire, but stayed with a hope that she will get international assignment and she got NOTHING (bunch of incompetent idiots). She should get NHK host spot and I will die on this hill.

I believe Yura Matsuda went through surgery last season? Iirc she wasn't at JNats? Anyway, looks like she came back and competed in regionals this week. She is able to attempt lutz and flip again, but her protocol is a total carrot cake. She placed 5th. podium was 1. Rin Nitaya 2. Yuhana Yokoi (bombed SP, two falls and +combo *sobs*) 3. Miyabi Oba https://www.jsfresults.com/National/2019-2020/fs_j/block4/data0205.pdf

This week were regionals in Japan. Kinayu Yokoi (Yuhana's younger sister) landed 3a. According to protocols it was rotated. Not clean skate tho. Great potential, bad coach. *sobs* Hana also attempted her 3a, but fell. Landed at least one in warm up. podium was 1. Hana Yoshida 2. Nana Araki 3. Kinayu Yokoi https://www.jsfresults.com/National/2019-2020/fs_j/block4/data0405.pdf -
Aside of stamina, I belive that Zu likes to end his programs with a spin (upright spin) because it's a good way to stop moving across the ice, slow down and smoothly finish with ending pose. Of course, this is most likely a philosophy that all choreographers follow when they create programs and decide to end them with a spin (or idk, stationary lift), but Zuz is definitely aware of it. He even talked about it with Nomura Mansai. Even all his EXs have a spin at the end. Iirc, the only program from him that didn't have the final spin was The Final Time Traveler. But honestly, until now we had many programs that either start with not a jump or end with not a spin. Only this season Wakaba, Kaori and Medo end their SPs with StSq.
