Never in my life did I expect to hear someone describing a bee as “kawaii”... Ah.... that’s kind of my belief too. When there’s up, there will be down (which sounds pessimistic) and when it’s down, there will be up (now I sounds optimistic). Except his ‘down’ with all the falls is quite drastic....

Question: are announcements about who participating in which tournaments usually out before ticket sales? Cos it seems that all-event ticket sales are already selling for GPF? Never watch a competition live before so am not aware of how ticket sales work.

Except I can’t see anyone acting as him... Young man, you are welcome to my bathroom. You can sing as loud as you want. Off-key also ok. Watching his interview always make me realise that he has much self-confidence (a trait I expected from all athletics). However he never sounds arrogant. More than trying to be diplomatic, I think he is just being humble. His parents really taught him well.

There is a reason why Brian said he was a loose cannon

Is this not “Look past the tip of my finger and straight into the soul of my eyes.... You are officially bewitched.” ? Why is my mind seeing Yuzu dancing like that on ice? Watching this video embedded in the forum. You know what is funny? Seeing Yuzu in your profile pic at the side nodding and squinting eyes as Javier talks

Seriously, I don't know why I never watch Notte Stellata prior to PC Olympics. I guess I never really finish a video because I'm not into such music and I ain't particularly found of the costume. However, live streaming of the PC Olympics gala made me sit through the performance and wow, I am impressed! It's really BEAUTIFUL! Every movement is so graceful. I'm even found of the costume now because it is just so in-character (well, except maybe when he bent and the nude part starts getting wrinkly - is it too cold to leave that skin area bare? ). I love how he ended with that pose just like a swan. Definitely one of my favourite ex now.

Ah-ha! I was wondering why a judge would score so high if it's obvious that it will be thrown out. Of course there will be a team conspiring together. Somebody faster teach Yuzu to speak better English. I wanna go to the forest too. No eyes for these politics.

It is said in the post that the grandparents are especially happy to hear Yuzu saying that this is the only the beginning of his life and he will work hard to become someone who fits (the status of) a gold medalist. I assume this is the grandparents relating this conversation to the shop owner?

I do use SNS regularly and some even unlocked but if i know a friend who do not use any SNS or never post their face on public SNS, I will ask if they are OK for me to post photos with them in my unlocked account. For those who always post own photos on their public SNS, no permission ask! But yes, it's a delight seeing his photos pop up at times when you least expect that. I can totally see why he would like that. Totally his style.

Gold looks good on him (hi, gold medal) but the design of the frills is just so off. I have to scroll up to see the photo post by @moonkat to erase the memory. LOL. While i love the idea of SNS accounts, I think it's more healthy for him to stay away from it. I don't know what is wrong with people's mentality nowadays but many just cannot post normal comments on SNS post I do wonder for his friends who posted photos of him on SNS, do they have to ask him for permission to release the photos?

WHO designed that? Come, let's have a talk.I promise I won't kill you....

Wow, that’s insightful. If the judges are sent by the skating federation, then it’s no wonder. I was expecting individual judge to ownself apply with ISU to be the season’s judge. Guess procedures such as self-declaration of conflict of interest wouldn’t work here. ISU hiring their own independent judges won’t work too (No budget to feed those judges!). While I can understand that some components of the scores are really subjective, isn’t GOE based on some bullet points? The scores are publicly released so I don’t understand how any judges can blatantly under- or over- score. Guess rice bowl is more important than judgment from outsiders… Your opinion of ISU countering bias by giving everybody equal opportunity to be biased sounds like the solution now…

This definitely already explained why she chose Yuzu. Well, they looked happy to have a chance to throw the Pooh. They probably wanted but can't do it

I have been reading comments about over- and under- scoring with reasons such as reducing the gap among skaters or big Fed influence or simply just being biased. Can someone explain to this noob how Fed comes into the picture? I literally imagining illegal passing of money under the table, judges being held at gun point in dark alley... *gotta stop watching dramas*

Such a cute laugh I love how confident he was to state his claim on the gold medal and politely denied all possible 'what-ifs' without putting down others. I wonder if he ever had any lingering thought after his score was announced that Shoma may beat him since the latter skates after him in the FS. However, he does look quite confident and satisfied with his score at the kiss & cry

I demand yellow black jumpsuit! Hahahaha. I thot the whole thing was fun and then he cracked my funny bones at the end. Why hit own face?

if the lady in the pic is 100x more graceful than me, Yuzu is 1000x more graceful than me....

I feel that 'off season' will officially start in May. Anything to look forward to after April? I'm already dreading the lack of news...

Logistically speaking, I expect Yuzuru to be in Japan since he has a show and parade next month but I am so glad he is back in Toronto. With his current status, can he even rehabilitate in peace in Japan? And yup, first post. Finally registered after lurking in silence for past months. However, I am so new that i doubt I can contribute much and will just leech from everyone's wonderful and informative posts...
