I think what @barbara meant was to find a hotel near the venue which can provide documentation is a bit hard cos like what she and @Pammi stated, I have also heard accommodation near the venue are quite fully booked. Any hotel can help you with the letter, not necessary must be those near the venue. If anyone planning to go, my suggestion is to first book a hotel with free cancellation policy and then check if they provide letter of invite. I recall one hotel I asked gave me a 3rd party link telling me I can get letter of invite from there since the hotel doesn't provide. I definitely wish to go to Beijing Olys but there's words that China will still have quarantine requirement until end of next year. I'm not sure how my boss will feel about me working remotely in hotel for Yuzu (even though he knew I like him ). And can Yuzu join another comp in Canada after the Olys season? my ETA to Canada applied for last year Montreal WC will expire next year. I really do wish to go visit Canada... Ok, priority. It depends on your hotel. Many hotels can provide letter of invitation, some free, some at an extra fees. However if you intend to stay in cheaper accommodation like airbnb, the owner may not be able to provide the letter (it's quite an effort for them to get one I think) but you can find some online sites which can provide you the letter at a fees. I'm unsure of which online site is OK since I never tried them but I think you can find some recommendation on travel blogs via Google which was how I know about these sites when researching on the topic for my trip to CoR in 2018. Just remember that every city requires a separate letter of invite so if you want to travel before or after the comp to different cities, get a letter for each of your city of accommodation. Ah... I am jealous of everyone planning to go to the comp. I am still a bit wary of the virus (+ quarantine requirement) so will probably wait until at least next year then think about going to a comp.

I totally lost track of time with all the working from home. Is GP assignment usually announced during this period? Felt so sudden. Japan and Russia... In normal circumstances, I will be preparing for ticket fight and plan for a tour. Maybe I should just take leave and plan a staycation in a hotel to watch the comp online

You can get one! International fan can get from T-mall. Problem is the website is in Chinese so you have to know the language. Another problem (for me) is shipment is only by sea. That's why some people say Yuzu can rotate more since he doesn't tug his arms in when rotating. He is likely able to turn more than others if he can further tug his arm in (that's what I recall hearing on a Japanese news). I did not notice if he pulled his arms closer this year (I'm not a good observer) but if so, could it be a side effect of 4A training? I kind of just come into Planet multiple time today just to see if there is news of WTT cancellation. They have to decide within these 2 days? And if they continue, how can they allow audience? Right, sucking their money is essential...

While the list of participants for WTT was announced yesterday, I assumed the skaters know about their attendance right after Worlds? Looking at Kirsten's comment below, it seems like she was still in Stockholm if she and Mike could decide whether to fly to Japan from Sweden direct. So quarantine at Canada is not an issue here to stop Canadian from participating in WTT since they can skip half of the quarantine by going to Japan straight? I wonder if there's any penalty for them for opting out of WTT and if Yuzu already knows that he's selected to attend WTT when he's at Stockholm, does he has a choice to opt out even if he has no injury reason (or maybe he just readily accept it...)?

Based on the translation, border restriction doesn't seem to be the reason why he cannot go to Canada? I think he really likes his own ice time but without physio care and someone to control him, I'm scare he will go crazy with all the 4A training. Though I think he should be mature enough by now to know when to stop but we are talking about yuzu... less wild with maturity but still wild. Actually isn't the Sendai ice rink opened for public too in the past year? Did he train at late night when the rink was closed to public? Can't he train in late night at TCC too?

He has a big 'but...' though. He plans to include in first competition next season but 1) he must land it successfully 2) he doesn't want to just add in 4A and do another jump. He wanted to make sure it fit into his program. I don't even think (1) is hard for him now. Pretty sure he landed 4A but probability of fully rotated is perhaps not high enough. (2) is probably harder since knowing him, he wants his program to make sense aesthetically and all the jumps must fit with his music. However, we still have plenty of time till the next season.
