Eteri will have to. The multiple run throughs kind of training? It's got to be more stressful on the body when they include 3As and quads! It will take work to find the balance between the tough training that does get excellent results, and minimising damage so they can keep skating and stay competitive past 18. I'm sure they can do it if Eteri stops with the body preparing for babies thing. I'm also glad that Zhenya isn't going to be the guinea pig. Nice programmes for her now!

Looks like the fed is making peace with it, too. Good for everybody. I guess Wakaba's TCC rumours weren't complete. She does have a year of school left, doesn't she? Maybe it's all being planned. I hope so, at least. Wakaba would do really well at TCC, I think. I don't feel bad for Eteri. It's not like she was doing Zhenya any huge favours. Whatever Eteri did for her, Zhenya paid back many times over by being as good as she became. Even if we know nothing more, this is perfectly fair enough. Zhenya has outgrown her. Good girl for looking out for herself and doing what she needs to do.

Apparently Alena said to media (ETA: Or on social media, I think) she can't comment about Zhenya and Polina, they will say what they have to by themselves. So, the Polina thing might be more than just a rumour, then?

You know, all this talk of how Zhenya wanted to upgrade her tech even over a year ago - I remember an old interview with her where she laughed at said she won't go for a 3A because the axel is not her jump, but she'd go for a 4S. It was pretty long ago, definitely many months. I think around last off season. I thought she wasn't working on it because she didn't want to destabilise anything before the Olys. Now I'm wondering.

Well, with going to Yale, I suppose Nate's pre-Olympic interview about after the Olys, he wants to go back to his earlier balletic style (kid has more honesty than the people around him, it seems) won't be a priority now. I don't really see how he can keep up his conditioning, keep his training, and be actively involved in choreography to that level throughout the season when he's also taking regular pre-med at Yale. It would be amazing if he pulled it off.

Or he'll make the tanos look good. One of the two, I hope.

I was wondering that yesterday, too. He doesn't seem to mind judiciously used rippons though.

Well, this was something. I am really looking forward to Zhenya getting better programmes. Won't give her a PCS rise, there's not much room to rise, but she deserves better programmes and so do we. And looking forward to her axel being fixed, I'm sure it can be at TCC, her other edge jumps are great. As for the rest, I hope she will really enjoy training and skating again.

Singing in harmony something about how he can't turn them awaaaaayyy. If she does go to TCC, it's going to be strange for her to get used to a very different way of training! I wonder if mental fortitude is catching, I know somebody who could do with catching a little of the kind of confidence that doesn't require back-to-wall situations for it to make an appearance.

On closer look, we'll see that the entire costume is made from prints of all his gold medals. Just for now, I wish he were arrogant enough to do something like that. It would make so many people's heads explode. He never would, of course, but it's giving me a few wicked giggles to think of it.

You... literally... do make the rules. I approve of this one until the day I want to relurk. And @SparkleSalad you're not allowed to call gold 'sparkly bright yellow', because if our extra overlord decides full body gold lame pantsuit is the way to go, you're not taking credit for that. That would just be to make sure nobody forgets he's got all the gold. And putting gold on everything apparently worked.
