Our rematch with the tea leaves – GP Prediction Game 2.0!
Kizuna replied to Joey's topic in Knickknacks: General Skating Chat
@Joey, I'm so sorry, the nameless submission at 23/10/2018 14:22:33 is mine -
How cruel it is for a figure skater to have his right leg stabbed, and Denis even received several more deep wounds. To think he just posted a story on Instagram about an hour before the incident. Life is so fleeting. May he be in a more wonderful place.
-
So shocking to have opened the forum and read this. Rest in peace, Denis. Condolences to his family and friends.

Shinya said Yuzu took part in arranging this version of Haru yo, Koi with him I think from this we can be pretty sure the program is here to stay for the season since Yuzu put in extra attention to its detail. Actually he called Yuzu Yuzu-chan twice before the final thank you part, so I'm pretty sure he intended to say Yuzu-chan but probably said it too quickly that it sounded like Yu-chan. (Actually it sounds like Yuz-chan to me too)

I just knew the assignments would come out while I was offline Wow, Yuzu didn't get NHK! But he got Finland, huh. At least he likes it there And Julian got a GP assignment! So happy for him!
-
A bit random, but Yuzu did say that his rehab period would end before the last stop of FaOI, right? That means it should be about now. Yay!

So... today, I discovered that the kanji for Joe in Joe Hisaishi's name (譲) can also be read as Yuzuru (though with different hiragana spelling). Yeah, just a tiny, not really important piece of trivia, but I was kinda excited when I found that out. Maybe that's another reason Yuzu saw a connection to Hisaishi and wanted to skate to his music

This author's artwork regularly features shikigamis, Pooh and bums

Social following: 0 I'm sorry, but found this so funny. There was only one other athlete on this list also with zero. Endorsements: N/A His stats are the least complete of all the athletes, like it's either zero or unavailable

It's hilarious though I wanted to translate it, but you made me hesitate

The whole time I watched this I was laughing at Alina's expression Meanwhile, Javi and Kaetlyn are just playing along and clapping... I wonder what Yuzu thinks of this guy, I mean, I don't think I'd be impressed with someone constantly trying to imitate me when they don't even do it well

Thank you!

I can't stop watching... And I can't decide where to look

Hello fellow countryman! I guess this is a little OT here, but I totally understand everything you said about Malaysia not having many figure skating fans. In fact, I don't even personally know anyone who is following the sport like I am. I only know a friend who was following Yuzu during PC, but doesn't follow his other competitions even though she really likes him and thinks his skating is otherworldly and amazing. Even when I tried to hype my colleagues up for the Winter Olympics, only one of them bothered listening to me and tried checking Julian's and Yuzu's performances out I'm actually feeling happy that your class is excited about figure skating, up to the point that they miss classes I never knew that a class of students in Malaysia could be so hyped about FS. I'm so proud of them (for all the wrong reasons ). I wish I had a teacher who gave me assignments about FS. Welcome to PH, and have a lot of fun here!

so cute!!! And his jump face hasn't changed at all... Any idea what the results were for this competition? ETA: He placed 4th.

ありがとうございます! Now I can piece the whole thing together in my head. I actually thought he was talking about camping and insects when he was referring to Kodaira-san as the captain (???), but I knew that couldn't be the case I need to improve my listening skills.

http://seobiiiiieluv.tumblr.com/post/173449472069/cr-kiml99 Just a rough translation: In this clip with Shoma and the speed skaters, Ayaka Kikuchi (speed skater) says that on that day, they had a lot of time to talk to Yuzu on the bus, and they talked about many things like skating etc (can't really catch the rest). She thinks that his impression of them might have changed after that, so she wants Yuzu to give them each a nickname. Yuzu: Shoma will be Shoma, is that okay? [can't catch his reasoning, someone help], so Kodaira-san will be Ko-san No-san (Ayano Sato), Na-san (Nana Takagi), Mi-san (Miho Takagi), and then I was thinking about Ka-san (for Ayaka Kikuchi), but then that's a bit wrong (kaa-san = mother), then I thought, maybe Aya-san, then that would clash with Ayano-san. No-san, Na-san, Mi-san, what should I do? Ki-san? [dunno what he's saying here] (turns to Kodaira-san) Is it okay to call you Ko-san? Kodaira-san: Yes. Hanyu-kun, what do you want me to call you? Yuzu: If we're following this flow, then Yu-san? Eh, anything is fine. Kodaira-san: Since everyone calls you that, then Yuzu. Shoma is fine for Shoma. (Sorry for the incoherent translation, I hope someone who caught more of what he said in between could help )

She plans to work with Tom Dickson for her FS choreo.

What costume malfunction? It's a bare back costume, just like what the ladies wear all the time. Hmm... thought I should clear this up a little. https://headlines.yahoo.co.jp/hl?a=20180413-00000179-sph-spo What Yuzu said according to this article: 「このプログラムをまさかこの衣装でやるとは、私も思ってなかったよ(笑い)。絶対約束するけど、この衣装でこれからバラード第1番をやることはないと思うので、目に焼き付けてください。僕の大好きな曲、大好きなステップ、ジェフから頂いた大切なものです」 "I didn't think I would ever do this program in this costume (laughs). I absolutely promise this, but I don't think I will ever skate Ballade No. 1 in this costume again, so please burn (imprint) this (image) into your eyes. A song that I like very much, steps that I like very much, a very important thing I received from Jeff." He meant to say that it might not happen again, so the audience should etch that moment into their memories. Even if he knew that the costume was not very popular among fans (which might be why he said he promised it would never happen again), he didn't mean it to the extent that it was burning the audience's eyes. I wanted to say this as what Yuzu said had much more positive connotation.
