Someone else may remember and have the link bookmarked but there was an American girl on YouTube who said her rink brought in a new coach to teach them all to underrotate in a manner that’s harder for the TP to spot. Today I saw this video of Max discussing Saitama scoring and ladies’ quads. He said prerotation of quads in ladies doesn’t concern him because no lady has landed a quad without prerotation at this point. Is it really possible for a skater to learn to prerotate the same jump only when it’s a quad or is the possibility of quads and therefore medals only available to ladies who have been taught incorrect technique deliberately or otherwise? Can incorrect technique be learned later in a skater’s career or is it just as difficult to learn as it is to unlearn?

Waka was sick at the time so it wasn’t the best performance jumps-wise but it still gave me goosebumps. I’m extreeemely biased but it’s going to be the best ladies SP of the season once she’s back in good health.

I don’t suppose anybody saved Wakaba’s new SP before the video was taken down, did they? I know it’s only two weeks until Lombardia but I have a mighty need!

Funny how there exists a skater who perfectly blends artistry and technicality and yet they do everything they can to twist the rules against him while rewarding the “artistry” of technical skaters and ignoring the technical flaws of others. This new proposal is a total farce and will change nothing.
