Ah, the wording of this article makes it clear that it's the 4A that's 5% complete, not his programs.
I mean, of course his programs are more than 5% complete but his standards are crazy so I wasn't sure.
Hanyu said at men’s FS press con that he wants to try 4A in competition after Nationals.
That leaves 4CC, Worlds, and WTT. Debuting at Worlds would be unlikely which leaves 4CC or WTT, doesn’t it?
I think he underestimated the difficulty of the new FS limits when he set that goal for himself. That was pre-ACI kuyashii “it’s meaningless if I don’t win” as well. My bet is still on WTT and I hope to god he doesn’t try it before then, both for the risk to his scores and to the health of his ankle.
