When have I ever been kidding about anything? I can’t imagine Zu doing Riverdance at all, though my favourite Riverdance program that I felt expressed the music most sensitively was choreographed by a Swiss man and performed by a Japanese man, so I think it’s absolutely a matter of individual personality and talent.

He said he was a cat. Let him express himself!

This one. This is the one.

Bringing over from the JO thread. Trying not to freak out and failing.

Perfect song choice during the warm-up.

I saw the staff member cross in front of everyone in the middle of Otonal to tell her to stop. Surely she could have waited until the performance had finished to intervene? To travel all that way to see Yuzu perform and have it interrupted. I felt so bad for everyone.

They were, but human beings are hunan beings. This sort of scene happens all around the world, it's usually just with popstars and actors. The Japanese fans I met, every single one of them was so kind and polite and good humoured so the small mob doesn't reflect on the thousands of wonderful fans who attended. It really is a treat to watch FS in Japan. I'm a bit of a curmudgeon and don't really like people disturbing performances with cheering and wooing so I really appreciated how sensitive to the atmosphere Japanese fans are. Even Carolina Kostner commented on how nice it is to be able to skate in Japan because the audiences let you hear the music and the quiet. 💖 Really a dream.

Platforms can solve that problem. The important question is are you sufficiently mushroomy?

The lady leading the mob running after Nathan in Nagano had a head of completely grey hair so... congratulations on your fitness but I'm glad FS isn't that popular in America. My first impression seeing him, too. Just a little boy. An amazing boy but a boy nonetheless. God-level cute but human, not that I'd felt much differently before but it's quite striking in person. It felt strange hearing people go so crazy, even though I could understand. It made my heart ache for him a bit. The way he's handled the insane pressure and adoration at such a young age is remarkable. I feel so sad for him. He's such a kind, generous, and open-hearted young man, I'd hate for him to become weary and even more reclusive because of these crazy people. I'm glad he has so many wonderful people to look after him. I hope they'll consider allocated seating in the future. It's a shame for those who behave but his safety and the safety of fans should be a priority.

Re: the person who got the video. I have video of fans mobbing Nathan Chen in Nagano but I wasn't camping out waiting for any skaters, just resting at the station near where they got dropped off, not realising that anyone was expected to arrive. I heard a commotion so I went to see what was happening and I took the video not to get myself a shot of him but of the chaos. Of course, waiting by the entrance/exit at the venue isn't the same but perhaps her reason for being there may have been different from those who chased after him.

The tickets are so cheap and venues so small that all the tickets are bought up even before Yuzu is announced by fans taking a gamble. If ever he skips ACI, the venue will be so empty.

Who wants some more kuyashii?
-
We should talk about this.

This is what ACI does to the Planet.

@ToniThanks so much for sharing Gishlain's impressions of Yuzu, it's really touching, but perhaps it would be a good idea to just remove any mention of anyone else at all? Even if you don't mention names, it starts gossip and I'm sure Gishlain wouldn't like that.

This has probably been translated and posted elsewhere so please excuse me but I want to spread the kuyashii. "If I don't win, it's meaningless."

He usually changes A-spin to Biellmann. There's no way he won't do Biellmann in ORIGIN as Plushenko is the reason he did Biellmann in the first place. ACI H&L also had an A-spin instead of a Biellmann.

Sweet little leopard really thought he could change his spots.

Surely no Fanyu believed he could ever be zen. The moment those words left his lips at the Olympics, we knew it wouldn't last. I hope Gishlain is ready to sit on him if he goes after 4A too hastily. I think he knows how much work he has to do on the rest of the program first so I think he'll be sensible about it.
