(The long explanation of why he just drew a bunch of straight lines...)

They don't even look like food. I am disappoint.

Yeaaaah how many hours until first practice? 14ish? Gotta make those hours productive because I will be a wreck during this competition. (Also, I am seriously in awe of that neck. They just don't make collars high enough.) ETA The weird thing happened again where the competition keeps moving further away. Obvs its tomorrow.

Didn't know this existed but just looked up the list for this year and he's not on it but Evgenia is #14. Snubbed!

lol why is he holding instead of wearing the hat?

I super duper highly recommend getting a VPN. I don't know about you guyses's countries but in Australia the government monitors everything we do online and then stores it for 4 years (though whose checking it gets deleted after that) so a VPN is a must for privacy. Added bonus of being able to watch just about anything online.

General Skating Chat

They remind me of Hungarian gingerbread crossed with stained-glass cookies but that seemed a bit complicated and I don't think such a hybrid exists (though it really should) and it made me hungry and then I started looking at gingerbread houses and it just snowballed from there. I love these. I want to buy them. Why don't these fans sell me things I want to buy? I just bought a pink phone (because it was cheap - I really don't want a pink phone) and a matching pink "Damu Pari-chan" (lololol) strap would make me feel a lot better about it.

Jeez, no wonder his mum still goes with him to practice. I hope their hearts are fickle and that when he retires he can get some privacy while they gush over the next star skater.

Welcome back! I was wondering why this thread hadn't descended into Boyang gushing for awhile! Only a few days until we're blinded by new sparkles!

Go go ruruzest! Warp those tiny minds! (Just make sure you stop before they become our competition for getting tickets.)

It sure would! You should totally do it!

I don't think he'll ever be good at hiphop or anything that requires a constant, controlled beat and I just don't think he has the laid-back or "cool" personality to properly "feel" that sort of music, hence the rushing (also his posture gets pretty bad but I've noticed a lot of nerdy or uptight kids try too hard to emulate such laid-back body language and that's how it turns out.) Classical and Japanese music suit him very well and the way he's able to express that music is just exquisite. Literally breathtaking. I believe him when he says Chopin is like breathing and SEIMEI is his true self. Neither requires consistent and precise movement and they allow for much more freedom to play with the music and the timing. And his timing in both is impecible. I hope my past 2am explanation makes sense. And I agree about that balance. I envy it.
