From Aera interview (translated by @Ryoko_110YH on Tw) Yuzu: "It wasn't a comment about the score or the ranking, I think it was a comment about a human being like me. From this point of view, it feels like what I did was worthwhile" My comment: Yuzu this is true, you are a wonderful and inspiring human being, and your ranking/score doesn't determine whether we are your fans or not. However, please know that we all know that you are the best and most complete men's figure skater by far and that if you (and others) were scored fairly your record of competitive achievements would be even greater than it is now! Also you win the charm and charisma prize by a country mile (ie. a very long way!) Fellow satellites, I want to say this because Yuzuru seems to recognise there is something about his skating and him as a person that has enabled him to build such a large (and loyal - let's show him!) fanbase, but he doesn't maybe recognise that we all also think he truly is competitively the best men's figure skater, now, and probably ever, when measured by the scoring systems that have been in existence during his career. The fact that this system was manipulated to ensure his demise and others' ascendence will never change that fact. This post has been tagged by yuzuangel as [NEWS].

Yes that would work!! He could bring his Seimei magic and use it to protect Pooh and his friends (and us) from the Heffalumps and Woozles....

His lovely face Japan must be so proud of him....this is serious stuff, diplomatic relations between the 2 countries. It's amazing what Yuzuru can do. I want him to come and save the UK...

I think Yuzuru gets better each time he appears on TV - I thought today he seemed the most relaxed and smiley of his recent appearances, and I also thought he looked very lovely! (some say he looks tired, not to me) and its impossible not to smile watching him he really does boost the seratonin levels! Thanks for the posts with translations folks! Listened to Miyakawa too, he is so funny

Wasn't the Laver Cup match and treasuring of Roger a a fabulous occasion?? It made me upset thinking "This is the goodbye Yuzuru deserved too". I did an instastory about it with a photo of Roger waving to the audience who were all stood in adoration of and gratitude to him - my post said Yuzuru is a Federer too, makes the sport look easy, grace and elegance, magical, technical excellence, a true artist, healing, massive popularity, a beautiful man on and off the court, making the point that Yuzu should have had this type of sendoff too - I deleted it though, because many people have moved on from the bitterness....(anyway I suppose JSF/ISU still have the chance to give him a good sendoff, we will see) Roger will be sticking around, we will see him lots, the sport will court him, they will want him there. FS with Yuzu? Nah....it's like they can't wait to forget him, and hope we all do to. No chance!! I am not sure Rafa would have played in this Laver Cup if Roger hadn't been so keen to play his last match alongside him - this rivalry and friendship is one of true respect and loyalty, no resentment. Nadal is so amazing, my fave in fact, but he has always made clear he sees Roger as the very best, probably ever. I wish Yuzuru's rivals could have been like that, Yuzu invited his to his own iceshow, and he didn't turn up...mind you, not many sports rivals have such a bond. Rafa is gonna feel as sad as John Mac did when Borg retired, as sad as Yuzu did when Javi retired, like Rafa, Yuzu also sang his rival and friend Javi's praises to the roof but didn't get the same back, so many similarities, such glaring differences in the way the sports love and care for their athletes. ANYWAY Yuzuru is on tv soon folks, lets hope he looks as happy and relaxed as he did on Oh! Bandes!!

Thanks so much for this thread - I didn't see the thread at the time these posters came out although I admired all the beautiful illustrations (and enjoyed the many comments about Yuzuru allegedly being unable to ride a bike!) Your thread is so interesting and gives the deeper meanings behind the art works....I'd love to see them displayed in real life!

I love this pic of Kaori in SP at Lombardia so even though I have not been watching I wanted to post it somewhere and thought this was best. Her hair suits her so much. I was surprised at the second place after a good lead in the short - Rinka must have been great to win, 3A looked good in clip above! (I didn't watch, just catching up here - thanks for your posts!) -
Gorgeous Rondo pics by Sunao-san, and the article from the photographer's point of view is really good - it seems Yuzuru created the "tension" he talked about in his Turning-Pro announcement to the press. I love the SEIMEI pics too (there are 2 I think) and love Yuzuru's facial expression in both (YuDai mentioned the same!)

Poor Gabi, failed when she needed good emotional support.... This whole sport needs an overhaul imo - because most athletes are so young, they are all very vulnerable to exploitation and abuse, and it's also difficult for them to support and advise each other, they need good mentors and coaches!!! with appropriate coaching styles!!

So probably more about the future of YUZU's figure skating rather than Figure Skating, the competitive sport, maybe.
