  2. Kaori Sakamoto DOI 2018. FP for this season. I'm now expecting she will be able to win the Nationals if she can develop this performance in the season.
  3. After all, Mongoloid is sensitive/weak to alcohol due to low activity of ALDH2. http://u-note.me/note/47506041 And, how surprising!! Japanese have EVOLVED into such constitution sensitive to alcohol in 100 generations https://hakuraidou.com/blog/110577/ I learned for the first time that it is difficult to explain to foreign people when the person is sensitive to alcohol, because お酒に弱い o-sake ni yowai - weak to alcohol is a phrase frequently used in Japanese.
  4. I can't stop repeating Haru yo Koi of Kobe, Niigata and Shizuoka Has this kind of comparison been posted already? Kiyozuka-san, the pianist, says it is 30 seconds longer in Shizuoka than Kobe. Left: Kobe Right: Shizuoka
  5. Have you got the information? Just in case; (Sorry, I have no information about local broadcasting) It seems Shizuoka was the last broadcasted by BS Asahi on July 1st (at present). http://www.bs-asahi.co.jp/fantasyonice2018/ The rest of the broadcast of FaOI is as follows on CS TV Asahi 2 without commentary. http://www.tv-asahi.co.jp/ch/contents/sports/0294/ FaOI Makuhari: 1st day: July 21 (Sat) 2:00 pm 2nd day: July 22 (Sun) 2:00 pm 3rd day: July 28 (Sat) 2:00 pm FaOI Kanazawa: 1st day: July 29 (Sun) 2:00 pm 2nd day: August 4 (Sat) 0:00 noon 3rd day: August 18 (Sat) 3:30 pm The website says they are planning to broadcast also Shizuoka and Heroes & Future 2018 in NAGANO without commentary (excepting some venues) in turn.
  6. Tatsuya Tsuboi / DOI 2018 3Lz + 3Lo ?
  7. Young Master has just dropped his Sensu - folding fan
  8. I think I once heard Yuzuru usually looses some weight during the off-season. If he looks having put on some weight, it might be because of a sty in his left eye. Or, his face might have bloated due to a weakened immune system from fatigue. These are just my guess though https://ameblo.jp/silver-an7/entry-12385016669.html
  9. Has this fan made video been already posted? It's with the original recording. So lovely
  10. I think this is the original Haru Yo Koi by Matsutoya Yumi, although I'm not perfectly confident. I like her husky voice with some vibrato. The other one sounds too clear to me. Anyway, enjoy the scenes of Japanese spring.
  11. Yes, the image is linked to Hokkaido as well as Finland. The scene painted in the mural is 希望湖 Nozomi-ko (Lake of Hope), and the title 静映 Seiei means "reflected silence". This title sounds like SEIMEI, doesn't it? in the tweet, they are talking about such lovely coincidences They say this moral painting is difficult to find if you do not go up to the second floor of the Nagano Station. If I have a chance to go to Nagano, I would definitely not miss this beautiful art. There is also Higashiyama's museum in Nagano. And just for your information, 緑響く Midori Hibiku means "the green resonates/echoes", very famous painting in Japan.
  12. This person remembered H&L when she saw this Art of HIGASHIYAMA Kaii (Mural painting at Nagano Station) named 静映 Seiei, just as I remembered Higashiyama when I saw H&L. Although the one I remembered was this (included in his book of paintings that I have). 緑響く Midori Hibiku
  13. A fan found a ANA TV CM video of 2012. It's so linked in many ways. Titled: Dreaming Airplane - Hometown
  14. No, tomorrow night (early morning of Monday). I'm going to separate my sleep of that day some hours before one o'clock and then 4:30 to 6:30 in the morning. I'm just relying on my guts
  15. Thank you !! You are doing the same just as I did In my case, I tried even if I don't understand Chinese relying on just kanji. Anyway, Chinese site is our last resort sometimes. By the way, very sorry I revised my translation; "gave me dreams" instead of "gave me love" for 夢 yume instead of 愛 ai. This appears two times. FaOI Kobe will be aired this Sunday, and Shizuoka will be on July 1st! Cannot wait!!! http://www.bs-asahi.co.jp/fantasyonice2018/
  16. I'm really looking forward to seeing Yuzuru skating to Haru Yo Koi. The lyrics have the different meaning but I like this too.
  17. Actually, I have not seen it myself, but read about it somewhere. Sorry for my vague memory. As far as I remember, it was the Quiz Time Shock (2.6 超タイムショック 2008 - 2104 in the following WIKI supposedly) And the person who could not answer I heard was SHIMAZAKI Wakako. https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/クイズタイムショック#超タイムショック(2008年3月_-_2014年9月) https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/島崎和歌子
  18. I have seen a very good Yuzuru MAD video with this music, but I cannot find it on YouTube now I translated the lyrics as I was so moved at that time feeling it was like implying the relationship of Yuzuru and Nanami sensei. "Caught in shower lit with soft light Winter Daphne, bringing back memories of you Buds with flowing tears Start delivering a scent one by one It will come across the sky It will come over to you someday Spring, I’m still waiting it to come all the way. When I close my eyes, I’ll feel you near, who gave me love, your voice with old memories My heart has been left at you Still longing for reply Even so many years later, Waiting for ever, and ever Beyond the tomorrow It will reach there someday for sure Spring, I’m longing for it yet to see. When I stop walking, being lost, Gentle gaze of you who gave me dreams will embrace my shoulders Dreams, shallow dreams, here still I am Thinking about you, I’m just walking alone Like flowing rain, like flowing flowers Spring, I’m still waiting it to come all the way. When I close my eyes, I’ll feel you near who gave me love, your voice with old memories Spring, I’m longing for it yet to see. When I stop walking, being lost, Gentle gaze of you who gave me dreams will embrace my shoulders" Again, I'm sure I can never be a poet EDIT: The original lyrics are written in slightly classic Japanese, so it has a sort of gentle and grace nuance.
  19. Actually, 譲 (also read as jo, joh, or joe) is the kanji usually used for the name Yuzuru, although the hiragana for it is ゆずる not ゆづる。 譲る (yuzuru) as the verb means concede (or, implying modesty, humble, etc.), so it is written as ゆずる, following the basic sound. There are also 謙, 禅. or some more of the same kind. While, 結弦 is consisting of 結 - ゆ yu (connect) and 弦 - つる tsuru (string) , so that its hiragana is ゆづる. 弓弦 (bow and string) is also written as ゆづる. 弓弦 is the combination of kanji for yuzuru known from before, but 結弦 is very unique, so people found it difficult to read it before. Actually, it was a question in a quiz show around 2012, and the guest on the panel could not read. But, I'm sure everyone knows how to read it now
  20. Welcome to the infamous bizarre world of Japanese Just joking Japanese may be unique but it's spoken by humans not aliens, although its uniqueness is actually a barrier for Japanese as well to master other languages. Yuzuru is a good Japanese speaker, very logical and persuasive, but still he is struggling with English. I received a standard English education at school in Japan for 8 years and stayed with a host family in London for a year. After started working, I took a training course for interpretation twice a week for almost a year. I'm still struggling with the difficulty in handling a foreign language. I also took French course for 2 years, but now I only remember several words. It's true, if you don't use it, you forget it easily. Many multilingual people in this thread. I really admire them. Chinese and Japanese use Chinese characters. But mind you there are differences in many ways just like a trap. For example, 手紙 in Japanese means a letter, but I heard it means toilet paper in Chinese. 愛人 in Chinese means a lover, but a mistress in Japanese. As I said, because we use same characters, we have to be very careful. Anyway, Japanese learners say the pronunciation is not so difficult compared to English or Chinese. So, everyone, no fear
  21. I noticed there was an enthusiastic Yuzu fan(s) in Vietnam long time ago when I saw the video of "Spirits of Athletes - 2012 version" with Vietnamese sub. Was it you, VyVy99 ?
  22. Famous Japanese in Vietnam: 1. Fujiko-F-Fujio (Creator of "Doraemon") 2. ABE Shinzo (Japanese PM) 3. Oshin (Heroine of a Japanese drama) 4. MIURA Toshiya (Former manager of the Vietnam national football team 2014-2016) 5. AOYAMA Gosho (Creator of "Detective Conan") 6. HANYU Yuzuru 7. NAKATA Hidetoshi (Football player) 8. KAGAWA Shinji (Football player) 9. MURAKAMI Haruki (Writer) 10. FUKUZAWA Yukichi (Thinker, educator, founder of Keio University) They seem to love football and Manga, no doubt. I was surprised by the name of FUKUZAWA Yukichi. Why is he so famous?

These soft tunes can be mixed One thing I have just thought of is to use the image of 蘭陵王 - Prince of Lan Ling for Yuzuru (I don't know Chinese pronunciation, but Ranryo-Oh in Japanese). I'm interested in the legend of Ranryo-Oh - Since he was so beautiful that soldiers admired him too much and their morale did not rise, he was always wearing a ferocious mask at the war. https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/蘭陵王_(雅楽) He must be able to portray the image of Prince of Lan Ling perfectly, without a mask though
