  1. Unfortunately, I was not at the gala. I might have been able to win the ticket if I tried, but two days at the competition gave me so much fun and excitement, plus exhaustion, honestly. If I had the ticket, the trip to Saitama (taking me more than 1.5 hours by local trains + long waiting in a queue with cold wind blowing) could have been under a live or die condition, which I had expected it would be (of course I'm sure I did not give up if I had the ticket) I took a day-off and enjoyed the gala on TV. I hope they would broadcast a full version soon, hopefully without CMs. Being a Fanyu requires so much physical strength Anyway, exhaustion, but totally happy exhaustion. Thank you for all the skaters who did their best

  3. Year, I slightly remember this. As I knew a real manga boy, I could not or cannot seriously watch a skater drama "In the drama titled "Doctor X", the patient was a skater of 27 years old, who was a 4A jumper. It sounded as a ridiculous setting at that time, because of his age, and 4A!! Watched the drama giggling. Well, is the scriptwriter a person who can see the future, or something? "
  4. I came back home nearly midnight from the Nationals yesterday, and I've not come to myself yet I arrived the venue with my friend one and a half hours before the venue opening time, but there was already a long, long queue surrounding the hall. All seats were of course reserved, but we just wanted to watch the final official practice We tried the same the day before yesterday to watch men practicing, but the queue was not so long. https://news.yahoo.co.jp/articles/6f1e61c5d4b4e8fd604ce01a7d0d873b910e440a/images/000 https://news.yahoo.co.jp/articles/6f1e61c5d4b4e8fd604ce01a7d0d873b910e440a Yuzuru seemed a bit nervous at his 4A, saying something to himself. He tried 3A + 3Lo sometimes (I already can't remember this happened yesterday or the day before yesterday, or both ) And he tried 3A + twizzle (3 turns?) sometimes at the location of 4A. I wondered what this was for? Two kohais talked about Yuzuru's performance. Shoma: It's too amazing. Yuma: Normally, we run out of energy after doing the Axel. Shoma seems crying a bit. Yuzuru: It (4A) is difficult. Super difficult. What you saw was (yet) what I got from my really hard work for 2 years. Shoma: The height of my 3A in the short program is 52cm. Yuzu-kun's is 73cm, 20cm higher than mine. Crazy, isn't it? It's ridiculous there is 20cm difference for the same jump. This post has been tagged by yuzuangel as [NEWS].
  5. I'm going to the Nationals on Saturday and Sunday. I'm posting this as we could finally confirm Yuzuru, with a smile It seems many people (who actually want the ticket) could get the ticket of the Nationals as well as the NHK Trophy this season, maybe because of the new strict system. I suppose it could get rid of those who try to get tickets just to make a profit, and who apply tickets in duplicate with friends. My friend won the Saturday's ticket (her third time win) and I won the Sunday's in the second lottery. Another friend of mine just joked "Oh, you will 翔んで埼玉 Tonde Saitama (Fly me to the Saitama) for two days https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fly_Me_to_the_Saitama Really joking aside, I want to watch healthy Yuzu, enjoying his skate And hopefully, God bless him with his 4A
  6. Just started December 7th here in Japan. I'm still working on my assignment. Before collapsing into bed exhausted, Happy 27th Birthday, Yuzu Wishing you all the happiness and health
  7. Future I expect
  8. JSF has stated that Yuzuru remains in the list for the spots even if he withdraws from the Nationals. https://news.yahoo.co.jp/articles/08e6814d6e61fd9c0134552e9fcefcfbc71b078d
  9. Already Fanyus are visiting here
  10. So, I suddenly started looking for his talk with Shizuka. No video left without a shortened narrative version, but a fan wrote down the whole Just for those who might be interested. This is Part 3: https://ameblo.jp/minminmin-vync/entry-12133625036.html Arakawa: I think you have an image of violin rather than piano. Hanyu: Oh, that's true. That's what I think of myself, too. A: Your skating style is... H: My name has 弦 (string) in it, too. A: That's true. H: Well...I really like violin myself... A: Does that have anything to do with the origin of your parents' naming you? H: No... I guess not. Yuzuru, you said you liked violin, didn't you?
  11. Yes, it used to be one of my collection of violin pieces at the era of Sony Walkman (Sorry it's too old ) So, to me, this is a violin piece rather than a piano version. I was expecting Yuzuru would pick up a violin music for his program someday as he once talked with Shizuka Arakawa that he was a violin type (skater maybe) rather than piano, although I have nearly given it up as he is saying recently that he likes piano pieces for his skating.
  12. I usually do not buy goods including brochures at the competitions or shows. But this NHK brochure is enticing me to buy it Anyway I'm quite sure the news would have been revealed and circulated around the world long before I'm going on 13th
  13. Tomorrow's Figure Skate TV on BS Fuji 17:00-17:55 will cover block/regional competitions continuing from last month, the All-Japan Novice Championships held in late October, and an interview with Kao Miura https://www.bsfuji.tv/figuretv/pub/index.html
  14. Japan Nats. That's the one to think about next. Osaka is far from my home and I was not thinking about challenging the tickets of Grand Prix Final. But I can manage to go to the Nats in Saitama. As I love to watch the Nats always, I'm going to try to get the tickets, although I know it would require me another luck. Hopefully, the application system would not be so complicated as this time While I hope Yuzuru will be able to attend it, I believe you all would agree that he should not take the risk, honestly. I hear 3,000 NHK tickets have been traded on the official trade site after the announcement of Yuzuru's withdrawal, but I'm going to NHK anyway to cheer up Team Japan
  15. I'm fallen from the heaven to hell But it's so worrisome about his injury. Really hope it is not serious Skating God, please please protect him from any further damage
  16. I'm not quite sure about NHK schedule and ticket type, but it does not seem they are selling a type of whole day ticket, does it? As for Grand Prix Final, it is specified they are selling a through ticket including the official practice - 公式練習観覧付き. http://gpf2021japan.jp/ticket.html But as I was just checking the 13th, the final competition day, it might be different for the preceding days, as the venue usually opens about one hour earlier. I went to the Nationals in 2017, and 2019 both on the day for ladies free program. It was my friend who could win the tickets for both years. She was incredibly lucky one, and I was lucky too as I could see the competition with her But we both failed to get the tickets for the days of men SP and FP. Many people were waiting in a line some time before the venue opened, and when we entered it, there were boys (final group) practicing their free programs for the next day, and we could see it And we understood why people were waiting so earlier, although another reason may be for securing time for purchasing goods before crowded. In 2017, Yuzuru was not there, but as we learned from this, we waited in the line even earlier in 2019, and although it was a short time, we could watch Yuzuru practicing.
  17. A miracle happened to me. Not a dream, is it? Finally, I won the 2nd lottery for NHK Trophy ticket (November 13, the day for Men free skating), after repeated defeats in blood bath ticket battles. I'm happy, but thinking I might need some preparation for heart attack I nearly gave up as the procedures to apply for the ticket this time were so complicated to avoid reselling of tickets at a high price. I needed to register to E-ticket site in addition to the usual ticket agency site. And as I wanted two tickets, one for my friend, she needed to register as well, and the registration was cross-checked at the site. It was not allowed for her to apply for the same day, so she applied for the tickets of November 14, but she lost this one.
  18. Yes, truly. It's English expressions in my case. Your translation has taught me a lot as I'm not good at dialogues in English. Thanks to you
  19. Is this re-broadcasting, or can we expect some addition, as it says "renewal"? Yuzuru Hanyu - 10 years of history - NHK Trophy November 7, 16:39 - 17:59 (80 minutes) NHK terrestrial channel This post has been tagged by yuzuangel as [NEWS].
  20. I think お揃い osoroi also means to be dressed uniformly. LetMe-kun and Haru-chan are putting the identical jack-o'-lantern disguise
  21. "Who's that plushie?"
  22. I didn't notice he was saying よいしょ (Yoisho) It's so difficult to explain about this phrase in English. My dictionaries say; https://ejje.weblio.jp/content/よいしょ https://eow.alc.co.jp/search?q=よいしょ (expression of effort or strain) huff!; yo-heave-ho!; heigh-ho, or alley-oop Or, upsy-daisy But, I don't think this explains correctly
