I'm living near the epicenter, marked X on the map. I was just about to take a bath. The bottom of bath tub started jolting. It was so scary I jumped out from the bathroom and put on clothes so quickly. Now I'm at a loss thinking whether I should take a bath again. But can you believe? My husband did not wake up! He is still sleeping without noticing anything I hear some ambulance running outside. The news says there are some people injured, but no worry about tsunami.

I think the poet Tetsushi Suwa mentioned in the article is Arthur Rimbaud, not Rambo. He is one of my favorite poets, although I read his poems in Japanese translated by HORIGUCHI Daigaku, a famous Japanese poet. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arthur_Rimbaud https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daigaku_Horiguchi Leonardo DiCaprio played Rimbaud in the film Total Eclipse. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Total_Eclipse_(film) Sorry for

Actually, he is showing his tips for those who want to try paper cutting. But I confess, it just makes me feel dizzy

Try his other videos. His works are all so beautiful. The creator, Shigeru Uchiyama is Professor of Tokyo Medical and Dental University, and he is using a dental scalpel (I'm not sure this is the right word) to cut out such beautiful works. https://www.facebook.com/pomp.fruits/videos/399181011474040/ https://hirobook.hatenablog.jp/entry/fruits_pomp

Wisteria flowers have the power to ward off evil (made known by "Demon Slayer" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demon_Slayer:_Kimetsu_no_Yaiba). It's also a good luck flower because it's pronounced the same as "immortal" and "unparalleled". All of the following are pronounced as "fuji" 藤 - wisteria 不死 ("fushi") or 不死身 fujimi - immortal 不二 - unparalleled (aka 無二 - muni) 富士 - Mt. Fuji (the kanji 不二 is sometimes used for Mt. Fuji) This post has been tagged by yuzuangel as [NEWS].

I love Masquerade. I just cry watching

IMO, he just mentioned it as an example that Rikako was familiar with. I don't think he did running as one of his strength trainings last season either. I think he raised these as the examples of difference in the kind of required muscles and training for each sport. Gymnasts are not good at swimming either. Kenzo Shirai, a gymnast, once mentioned that he just sank when he tried to swim, and it was really difficult to acquire required credits in swimming as he was a student of a college of physical education

Almost all Japanese schools have a swimming pool (because of a tragic maritime accident of children in the past https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shiun_Maru_disaster). So, Japanese children can swim at least a little, unless he or she does not attend swimming classes for reasons. But as the teachers are generally not swimming coaches, even if it depends on the teacher, swimming classes are usually a sort of play time (as far as remembering my childhood). I'm saying this because I'm in the similar level as his

Not in 10min. He takes more than that (Some words and phrases are omitted in the translation) (Rough translation through DeepL and me) Hanyu: Before the Nationals last year, I did a lot of strength/muscle training, along with the practice of Axel jumps. As I'm very thin and not so muscular, if I would say, and my body core is weak, so I always thought that I'm the type of skater whose jumps are not stable. But I also thought that, because of that, my jumps were brought about, and I told myself that it was who I was. But as I practiced 4A, I realized that I couldn't jump it in the same way as before. Then, I thought about what I hadn't done so far, and it was strength training. So I did it, and as a result, I couldn't jump. Ikee: Because of too much weight? Hanyu: It might be because of the weight, but I probably lost my balance. I got injured more often. Also, I realized that I couldn't use them (muscles) well after all. I felt that I had only gained muscles that were not necessary for skating. When I run, I usually get muscle pain. So I probably don't have any muscles good for running. As for swimming, I could not take a breath at all. Ikee: You had to stop and stand up every time you take a breath. Hanyu: Yes, yes. It is "How many minutes are you taking to swim 25 meters in the breaststroke?" level. I probably don't have any muscles for that. So even if I trained on land, I couldn't use the gained muscles on the ice. This post has been tagged by yuzuangel as [NEWS].

It can be said particularly of the Nats, I'm afraid. If it is held in areas other than Kanto, I might have given up. But it's SAITAMA, next to the prefecture I live, and the competition venue is large. How can I give up to try Because of the word starting from r, that someone would come to bury me if I said it , this might be the last chance for me to watch him in the Nats live. (I could watch the Nats twice before thanks to my friend who had luck, but both were not the days for mens singles.)

It is always a bloodbath fight for getting tickets for any competition or show in which Yuzuru participates. Good luck for everyone (I heard a rumor that some tickets of DOI cost over JPY600,000 at a ticket exchange site So, the organizer seems to have decided to check IDs. )
-
I always try pre-order from ticket agencies in Japan, but sorry, actually I don't know how to get the tickets from abroad. Maybe other overseas fans can advise you.

I was able to go to SOI, but failed to get DOI ticket (still a slight chance left). OK, now I have two more chances; NHK (Tokyo) and the Nationals (Saitama) Another funny hashtag. "It's normal for Yuzuru Hanyu, but that would be strange" championships. https://twitter.com/hashtag/羽生結弦では普通だがそれはおかしいだろ選手権?src=hashtag_click The guards are at the level of state guests. An idol among cats. Naturally appears in the ranking of those who look super bright and clear (others are all ladies)

The reasons why Japan lags behind most advanced countries in vaccination, as far as I understand. 1. The infection rate has been very low compared to other countries, so it was not so urgent to proceed with vaccination. 2. Vaccines have not been developed domestically although Japan used to be very advanced in this field, due to some vaccine accidents occurred in the past, lack of budget, etc., and we have to import all vaccines (AZ vaccine is now produced in Japan under licensing though, and provided to other Asian nations.) EDIT: Some Japanese pharmaceutical companies are now developing the COVID-19 vaccines. https://answers.ten-navi.com/pharmanews/20139/ 3. Clinical trials were late because of the above 1. and 2 (lack of cases/samples) 4. The system of vaccination was late to build up as there is no nation-wide social security number like that in U.S., maybe because Japanese people do not like to be controlled and "My Number Card" system has not been pervasive. And the manpower was difficult to summon. Local governments were struggling to set up the system. However, basically Japanese are those who believe in science, once we understand the effects and risks correctly, it starts proceeding quickly and smoothly. Actually, occupational/campus vaccination has started already, as well as large-scale sites operated by Self Defense Force, and people under 65 can now receive vaccination. The government has secured the number of vaccines for all the population, and made a special law under which specific medical workers including dentists can shot the vaccine. And the rate of those who received at least one dose has surpassed 20%. https://ourworldindata.org/covid-vaccinations I have appointed my first shot on July 4th. I believe the number of vaccine hesitant people is not so large, and it is true that some extreme anti-vaccine force is overlapped with antigovernmental force, so I don't believe them.
