  1. I think Man of La Mancha is a good choice... very Javi. Shoma has the dramatic and powerful and tear inducing turandot. Javi has powerful and inspirational impossible dream. Both have strong olympic worthy music... what the frick have the other top guys chosen?!!! yuzu, patrick, nathan, boyang.... choose wisely...
  2. Thankyou. They are really packaging her differently this year. Love it.
  3. Did she skate her new free? Thats a lovely dress...
  4. Maybe some people went to the complex where many do choreography. You can rent time there. Glad the problem here was fixed while I was away. I had a bit of a panic when I could not connect to the site at all....
  5. Pre Sochi, National results determined who went, right? For ladies this year it seems 1 spot is for the Nats Champ, and 2nd spot is more about who has done best during the season... right? The pressure is more spread out, but if you bomb Nats at least you are not totally out of it... which is good.
  6. I will be IN the same city tomorrow.... I think I will be ok, lol.
  7. No matter what happens and who goes, someone deserving and capable is going to miss out. There will be more than a little disappointment to go around...
  8. She is impressing a lot of people. His face there is quite funny, lol. You can read anything in that expression.
  9. I remember not being more impressed with either Evgenia or Satoko live. I am not saying they weren't good, but rather my overall impression was not more favourable for having seen them live vs just on tv. I loved Satoko's free, so I did enjoy the experience. And I remember thinking how more judge centric Evgenia's program was when watching live. I do not feel I am missing much by just watching on tv. Yuzu was fun to watch, always talking to himself, gesturing, animated and dynamic.
  10. I have had to help Many people at work with their english ( to the point one wanted me to tutor his children, lol) and so many things we native speakers take for granted are hilariously confusing... even to those immigrants who have lived here for decades. It makes me laugh when I go back and look at certain things from their perspective. Definite respect for all learners!! Even the simple word "well" can be used in multiple ways, lol. I love that picture with that english interview
  11. Toronto raccoons are known to be big, fat, and now capable of destruction affecting international nerves, apparently, lol!!!
  12. Thankyou, that was the one!!!
  13. Touring, more touring, choreo in Japan, more choreo, more touring... jeff is very popular!!
  14. Random question... anyone remember an interview with yuzu post Boston... he looked like he was in a hotel room... thx
  15. I am sure her choreography will be very similar to the last 2 programs. Hopefully, there will be no miming. I hope Averbukh gives her something better. I think she is capable of better than the cookie cutter programs from the last 2 years. I like the music, though, so there's hope.
  16. It seems like Mai is the only one near the top not using an opera warhorse!!!
  17. It is so true. She totally uprooted her more comfortable life at home for the dream/talent of her son, and together they make a great team. what an adventure. I think he should go shopping in Toronto, so far those suits need some help!
  18. You would thinkhe would learn to swim as a child, it is so important... so is it cannot swim or unable to swim... there is a difference.
  19. Good for Patrick. There is no reason for him to play it safe, so I commend him for giving it his last (most likely) best shot. I would love to see him do it and surprise the heck out of so many people. As for Stephen... so excited to see where this kid will go. Growth, injuries... so many things could stand in his way, but if he gets through that, wow, the world is waiting. The next few years will be so fun to watch as he progresses.
  20. Keira Knightley is not Lizzie Bennett... not the real one. That would be Jennifer Ehle, who starred with Colin Firth To me, that's the real P/P production. Gosh... I loved that series... now Lizzie felt when she saw Mr. Darcy come out of that pond is like what we felt seeing those legs....
  21. OMG. I was SO thinking about Jane Austen when I saw how we reacted to his legs!! I was like, wow, any skin and people get hot and bothered!!
  22. Yup. I can focus. Devotion to my topic... and that is a topic worthy of devotion
  23. I wish my anatomy books had pictures like this when I was studying. It would've made me more motivated, lol. illustrations are fine, but real life is better....
  24. Omg. Anything yuzu will sell out. Advertising dream!!
