  1. but guys i promised myself i would try hard to get a job for yuzu to get his second olympic gold medal and just now i got a call for an interview im so happy thank you yuzuru for giving me strength
  2. i know we need to be positive, but honestly i dont know what to say.... i think, let's just pray that yuzuru's injury can heal completely soon. sending him positive vibes
  3. he did get it examined, he just doesnt understand all the complicated terms and what it all means, i think....
  4. its from the press con today, he talked about wanting to do 4A too, that it will be a burden on his right ankle but he still wants to do it
  5. John Wilson Blade just posts videos of Yong You doing 3A3T and 3A?
  6. he's smiling and im crying, he looks good
  7. i will die if she gave him a red theme, or a blue/red contrast we might never get red seimei but this could be a great substitute
  8. its so pretty i'm really looking forward to the rest of it now, please come through for us ninamika goodbye money
  9. korean media was also the one who defended him when j-media didnt even say anything lol
  10. lots of people already speak but i just want to reiterate that the people who actually watch figure skating love him, korean media loves him (bc money), the crowd at PC will be completely behind him, so dont worry. remember 4CC last year? lots of koreans even become his fans! remember that news interview about the random ahjussi that immediately choose him without even hearing the question n giggling? lol the people who spread hate about him are the same group of ppl who spread hate about any russians n japanese athletes regardless of who it was, i bet they dont even follow figure skating seasons. also yuna was actually one of the ppl who inspired yuzu! he watched yuna having programs that blends the jumps with choreo n have lots of transitions n made it his goal to be like that as well (idk if that added to the reason why he choose borser as coach) so i feel like actual yuna fans would know that?
  11. true, he could go back to this n start training seimei 2.0 with this layout. this means he only has experience with it after he comes back from injury, 3 weeks could be enough for him though, so. i guess what i meant was more whatever his layout is he has a fixed one now n has been training it from last week when he got his quads back. like, thats the point of doing runthroughs right? getting stamina back n familiarizing jumps rhythm? (i suspect he's gonna try 4lz in worlds so 5 quads without 4lz seems like the closest it gets to that layout) nathan also doesnt really have that much transitions into his jumps, its easier to yolo that way.
  12. in my opinion, he had been training (as in serious runthrough all day long with the intention to use it in competition) with only 2 layouts, 5 quads without 4Lz (off season before 4Lz got an okay from brian) and 5 quads with 4Lz. ACI layouts is not something he trained for. its just a 5 quads with 4Lz layout that got downgraded and is the thing that made him most frustrated with, resulting in a notsogood performance, which means theres no way hes gonna actually use it for olympics, imo. but i could (most probably) be wrong edit: anyway this is my way of saying not having a fixed layout for olympics is a pretty stupid thing to do n i do not approve of nathan's strategy, at all. sorry nathan's fans. yolo is for when you f*ck up n got angry.
  13. nah im pretty sure he has a fixed layout, just that brian cant reveal it now. yuzu prefers a media blackout but in case its unavoidable like this its better to reassure everyone while still not revealing all his card yet. imo he most likely is going back to the layout he does off season. muscle memory is good for a demon as big as olympic. he already knew how much that olympic pressure can affect anyone, as he said in that interview that just got translated. all in all, i love great news and im happy he's expected to be back to his form by the individual event
  14. Just saw news, I knew he would prioritize more training time lmao of course i was actually a bit worried abt the dusty weather n the effect it would have on him staying there a week or so before the event not that my worries are rational or anything so this means I can watch team event without getting heart attack tho I know he will come back strong, I believe in yuzu! Edit: woah, just read some of the posts here... Umm don't worry guys he /always/ has momentum. Reigning Olympic n World champion titles has that effect. The crowd at PC will also be behind him, which he can feel the energy (n absorb them to become his power lol). Its gonna be fine. Take a deep breath.
  15. the new banner is so beautiful almost gave me a heart attack when i opened the site, in a good way it makes me hyped and excited for the olympics! it looks so epic!
  16. my memory seems fuzzy but do you guys remember at aci, bc of his sore knee, if it was, he took a rest n had only 1 week of training, OR he hadnt train at all in a week? it was the later right? aci practice was the first time he practice after taking a rest? im asking this because if my memory is right then i can see why nobu said he can gain back his quads (toe n salchow) in 2 days (as in 2 practices, before his sp started lol)
  17. lol so its true, he cant get credit for that feature, he added it just because he likes it i guess this makes me sad remembering when the tech panel at CoR missed him doing an outside edge on the last chopin spin n unfairly giving him level 3 judges at PC better give him for all those extra effort he did
  18. that fighter fanvideo made me wanna cry we all know the back counter 3a as his trademark entry, but i never realized how difficult his last spin entry was, i knew it's something extra he do bc i think someone said he doesnt really get spin levels with it? its just something he wanna do? cmiiw tho spin levels confuse me. anyway, this makes me appreciate it more
  19. some edge calls there were a bit weird, but tbh they probably doubt her more bc she had problems with it before, which sucks... yeah i think it'd be better to rest, but she probably want to represent her country too, after all its her home country, i just hppe she wont exhaust herself since it is pretty close to 4cc
  20. dabin shows a pretty good performance at 4cc! im glad tbh i feel like had she come from usa they'd shower her with a lot more PCS i hope she can show two clean skates at the olympics individual event. btw, korea is also getting a team spot right? i wonder if she will skate both?
  21. i'm glad yuzu shows his face lol also i honestly expect him to drop down in world ranking today but weirdly the universe made it that he's still no 1??? amazing tbh i dont really care for world ranking that much since i dont think olympics sp starting order is going according to world standing? (even if it is, the goal is to skate in the last group) but i saw some ppl are a bit confused on how the points get totaled, so... only best 2 points from the column ISU World Championship/Olympics, best 4 points from the column Grand Prix, and best 4 points from challengers are counted. shoma's points is now 4797. and boyang's rank also stays pretty much the same, still below nathan. here http://soyouwanttowatchfs.tumblr.com/post/157184562220/hello-i-was-trying-to-understand-the-world
  22. I don't think he has to be there if he doesn't compete? I mean I could be mistaken n they do actually force all the TJ athletes to sit there and watch, but I highly doubt that
  23. Just gonna drop in n say an extra week of training time is not 'measly', its actually a lot, and he needs to be in perfect condition to compete in the individual event. Doing team event decrease the training time he can get and I'm a bit doubtful about his stamina since he didnt train for like a month. I think if he's doing team event at all then it might be the free skate, if Japan can qualify. I get the benefits of doing a competition before the single, but doing it in not-so-perfect condition just to get competition-ice-time is such a waste when he could use it to train to get back to his fit form. And imo he'll still feel the nervousness of Olympic either way. Its not like doing TE guaranteed his mental condition being great on both days of the single event. It could help, but we don't know. This is from the perspective that he kinda /needs/ the training time though. If he's already back to his fit form now n throwing clean skates on runthrough after runthrough then doing TE will only help him. I guess thats what they're waiting for, his condition. It all depends on that.
  24. i mean, im like 99.99% sure it will be about figure skating since that was the sole reason he choose it in the first place but im curious what aspect of it will be about? his jumps? his programs? seimei? since he mentioned that someone said to him that ~scientifically quint is possible~ in that press con, was that from his prof suggesting his research topics? the theory of quints? lmao im reaching anyway it would be cool if he or someone else provide more research into the technology that goes into skating tools that help skaters to skate safely. for example, skating boots and blades. i know for quad users they're designed differently. sturdier etc. or how to make it cheaper but with not less quality because i know how expensive skating boots are is one of the reason ppl dont pick up this sport that easily. i remember he said it's made with bullet proof material.... also i know ppl made fun of ~'boots issue' because of how US media milk it as if no skater ever face it ever except their own, but boots issues are hard. For all of skaters. They just rarely talk about it. In one of kim yuna documentary they talk about how the blade need to be exactly in the center of gravity of the skater. But it's really hard to find that center. And the blade that is positioned badly will lead to so many problems. New skates will mostly have this issue. This leads to the boots breaking and falling apart, etc. I figured maybe this is why yuzu dont use his new black blades in competition for now. wow this turns long lmao here is the video about yuna and his mother talking about it if ppl want to watch
  25. i gotta say i love all this nerdy rants if only this happens not just bc of a dubious article.... "They are right if we assume a perfect isolated system without friction of air and ice" -> ngl this made me laugh "It's not as if skaters will be skating in a vacuum anytime soon" -> this made me laugh harder i would love discussing measurement methods though and the possibility of 4A n quint *shifty eyes* for science! also this just make me crave more for yuzuru nerding out about his jumps and all the calculations he did. man, the day jpn make a video segment about this would be the day i go to heaven on a more unrelated note, yuzu is about to graduate right? i wonder what his thesis will be about, i know itd be creepy to want to read it but... i want to read it, only if its gonna be publicized tho *pls ignore me*
