Aaargh! How could I forget Javi!!!  :headdesk2: Can we pretend his is the ball on the far side that's half cut off for now? I'll fix it up after I get all my work in.

I'll hold you to that.

Wow...these single line posts (okay not single anymore) are a great way to up my post count. I never knew! I should try it more often.

I don't think in Russia an athlete has full freedom to change coach wherever they want cuz athletes are payed by RusFed or a club (I don't know full picture but not all by themselves like in North America), so at least a coach change must be agreed with RusFed so I don't believe Eteri didn't know anything. And it's not a first case when her athlete can't leave without harsh words in media.

Rus Fed pays salary to the sportsmen and gives money to the club for coaching, ice time, other physical training., travel expenses etc The club pays to coach and other specialists. It works like this. And all of this is government money. Also, some man from Rus Fed refused to answer who will pay for Zhenya's training. But honestly, I don't care much xD.

So if you want to change club or coach it's huge Rus sport politicking things. You need strong backup and money. Amongst today Rus ladies all of that have only Zhenya. Sadly for other ladies.

Bcs there was no evidence of that? I answered regardless Rus forums, bcs in tweet sources were Rus forums. We can speculate all we want but I read it directly and if there some strong rumors some other comments them like true or not or seems like true. That one was not that on a level not true.

I see.

I stand by my point that Mr Orser would have likely expected a storm to brew.

And I remain quite interested in the implications (given precedent, cf. the Javier documentary) of how much Yuzuru was in the know before the official confirmation. And given that Yuzuru appears to be a pretty savvy lurker and very cognizant (and affected) by SNS negativity (cf. his CiONTU comments), how much consideration he may have given to that aspect of things (I cannot imagine these issues would not have crossed his mind if he was in the know). Alas, in the interim, these questions will be unanswerable except by speculation, unlikely to be proven except through interviews and documentaries several years down the track (like that Spanish documentary about Javier going to TCC), if at all.

Also, I already mentioned it, but Evgenia Medvedeva makes a history today. She is the first Russian FS with all these titles, who have guts to move to coach, who have no ties with Russia.

My hat off for this lady. But it will be really hard...

Sorry, but it had to be done (the image wouldn't leave me alone and I have essays to write).

Happy for Zhenya that she's happy and so proud of the way she's handled this. :goe:

Perfect!

Boyang seems to have a thing for mascot too. (This is all Zu's fault.)

Huh? No? I think spiderman and dragons are answers to questions to the plushies he likes most.

Can I just say I am very excited for zhenya and her possible next season programs? :tumblr_inline_ncmif5EcBB1rpglid: if jeff/shae/DW makes a program for her it will be an amazing new breeze <3

and fingers crossed for Brian's hair   now off to read 60 pages of gossips on this thread, damn real life keeping me off of the FS world :party0029:

Wait, I thought Yugudin also trained in the U.S. for a while? So technically Zhenya isn't the first top Russian skater abroad?

He trained under TAT-she lived in America in that time.

Finally!

Knowing Brian, it'll be anti-climatic. XD

It'll be fully appreciative of Medvedeva as a skater, but otherwise, anti climatic.

I am not expecting anything earth shattering but the poor man has been mentioned so many times for days now, that it'd be good to simply hear from him, directly, for a change!

Orser will be professional.

So please ask about the tanos, lol. (I actually think Zhenya likes tanos, irrespective of GOEs.)

For the funny note, I once read a fanfic where Zhenya was leaving Eteri for Borser and makes an agreement with Rus Fed that she will be paying for her training for one year. And mb bcs of that all that happens today seems like a dream oO... Now there are comments for author like-You can predict the future LOL xD.
