Yeah, you just open your rotation early if you think you can't manage to land a quad. Patrick often pops his 4T into 3T (and gets positive GOE on it because his popped 3T is still a gorgeous jump). Javi also has popped 4S into 3S. It is possible but Yuzu has a tendency to give up on a jump at the beginning if the feeling at take off is not right, as opposed to going for it and opening the rotation earlier. 

I watched the run through and the clean lutz and I cried and then...

 

I rubbed my eyes, and realised I hadn't washed my fingers properly after making lunch. Lunch involved ripping many dried red chillies. Many. Very hot.
