Ughhh I have just posted about these 2 awful commentators on the salt mines thread - Im always complaining about Simon in the competition threads (though watched live qq today).

Anyway, here's a better commentator in the women's event earlier speaking about flow:

This post has been tagged by yuzuangel as [NEWS].

His words on Yuzu are always on point🥺 I just wish Max hadn't gone full on Eteristan (among other things), I'd avoid feeling extremely conflicted about spreading his stuff :13877886:really, why can't we have 1 all around decent AND knowledgeable commentator and entertaining commie in this cursed sport?😔

Anyway, I guess everyone who's followed Men's SP now knows Ted Barton replaced Simon&Nick.:shame: Sigh, not really the best we could have, but definitely not the worse, if he can juuuust avoid his pro-Eteri opinions and, possibly, becoming more critical about the dangers of minors being allowed to skate without checking for fractures (or concussions) after a really bad fall.

The ISU statement positively shocked many, but maybe, as I said, the double damning "misfortune" of those comments being caught on air and being directed to someone with MD's clout(not only among fans but also with media like cbc) were too much to sweep under the carpet even for the ISU.

After all, ISU "cares" about its image in these matters. Had it happened behind the scenes (or maybe to anon-NA non white woman?) maybe certain ISU officials would have laughed along Simon and shared little stories about other "b*tches"🙄

Now, I wonder how many worse things all those people have said about skaters (and I don't need to imagine what they might have said about fanyus whenever we criticized their commentaries, probably deranged b. was the most complimentary thing)

The way these past 4 years have soured so much to me most of the commentaries I loved and could quote by heart...:tantrum:

Any further news about why Donovan WD even if his boots have arrived? I haven't seen anything else, and I'd still guess it's because his stuff was given too late? So unfortunate. Apparently, Jun had broken boots too sigh. When it's nor the Salchow being fussy with my faves, it's the boots(flashbacks to Rika too) or some other unpredictable accidents:banginghead:

Jun just stopped during practice to duct tape his boot together. :ohno:

Ouch Jun......rest well now <3

Kazuki, you are our last hope in this BS circus.

Well I gotta say I  didn’t miss the Russian skaters at this event at all. How about you guys?

I can't imagine seeing them there. It's not about them as individuals, but athletes represent their countries and it cannot be separated.

Even if it couldn't be allowed to show Russian flag and play anthem, unfortunately rn this country represents violence and shame, it cannot be put in parentheses. Their leader broke the most basic principle of humanism and peace, so this isn't the right time to celebrate any glory until the country stops the invasion, fixes its own matrix and apologies.

Also, to be honest, I can't imagine to watch anytime again those who showed up at recent shameful event with that specific pin on their jackets.
