  1. Oh, @LiaRy - congratulations, this must be so wonderful for you, we're jealous!
  2. This is an amazing work, a remarkable achievement. Congratulations and many thanks for your hard work. I know how important it is for a new fan to have it all in one place, systematised and to have reliable information sources. A great contribution to preserving and celebrating Yuzu's legacy and his future achievements. Also fingers crossed for your rehab, sometimes things take time. All the best and also thanks so much for your updates. Of course and although his face can be often very, very expressive and he can show literally almost every emotion, here he's of course always wearing his poker - unimpressed - face, I think also very much predicted & does the work. He's seemingly unimpressed, focussed, just doing his job while people are loosing their minds, screaming, as a result he's totally at the centre of attention although looking as if he doesn't care, it's a whole spectacle.
  3. Here someone posted a more detailed schedule for 24HTV today (but still as slots rather than exact time). Yuzuru's part confirmed to take place between 8pm and 9pm (Hideki Matsui mentioned for the same slot.) This post has been tagged by yuzuangel as [NEWS].
  4. @Anni always happy to do that. Will do more timezones next time. Can't wait until Saturday!
  5. Thank you! I spotted one mistake in the table with various timezones - it should be 6:30 am in Mexico City, not 5:30 am.
  6. I think it hasn't been posted here yet - a small thing, yet very symbolic. First, just look straight at the picture and try to quickly find Yuzu there. You found him? Exactly. And he's by far the greatest of all the skaters in the photo. Another reason or explanation for why people love him so much. This post has been tagged by yuzuangel as [NEWS].
  7. The 1st video exceed 3 Million views!! After 1 week!!! Congratulations, Yuzu!
  8. He's surpassed Eurosport's YT subscriptions (not fs Eurosport, all sports Eurosport!) already yesterday, too. He truly is a giant. Today's practice I believe is historical, it's going to be legendary and mark a milestone in the history of professional fs. He generated tension and went straight into his athlete mode basically demonstrating his amazing skills and stamina, also leaving some additional space for a thrill when challenging himself to skate a clean Seimei. The capital he's generated so far is now multiplying even faster - I believe (and I can see it on tw and YT) we're just observing a new wave of baby fanyus entering. People have various reasons to join the channel - the sessions are so aesthetically pleasing, visually attractive, the sounds of the blade, as many say - pure asmr, Yuzu talking - hypnotising, calming, the whole setting: logo, header, all full of light, clean, sleek, pure. Then, his relation with us - his fans. We are really blessed. He mentioned he's scheduled the practice session last minute - of course it was a demonstration of his skills, his powerful position, his capital, but first of all I think it was another gift for us, for which I am so so grateful. He's a giant as an athlete, but there is also this very special connection that he has with us, an ongoing exchange, full of love. Cause love and support is all he deserves.
  9. Just to clarify - the times for Western hemisphere are of course for 9 August:
  10. I am amazed at how he's always exceeding our expectations. So many fans were also asking for for sharing practice videos or streaming them and now Yuzu is doing it. Very grateful and moved and excited. He knows us so well, he's listening to us, we are very lucky fans.
  11. @citrusjunos Thank you so much for putting these posts with comments together. Some of these are testimonies of Yuzuru basically saving people's lives. We knew about it, many of us experienced Yuzu's impact in our own ways. But now it's getting concretised, quantified, illustrated, not only by the massive figures - views and subscriptions, but also by the people opening up with their stories, often difficult moments from their lives, when they saw our miracle boy skating by chance and it was like a helping hand taking them from a deep dark hole, like a light they forgot existed. Mechanism of how it works is still unexplainable to me, some have already expressed it beautifully, others will try to put it into words, also in the weeks and months to come, because when this channel develops, there will be even more such rains of love.
  12. Fantasy on Ice opened their channel on YT and there are several cuts of Kobe Day 1 opening available for view now! The channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC73uwIZVUmutHrh2wmjJEWg/featured One of the cuts: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZInep-SnVlo
  13. @caramelicht @Goatedforever @KKY_Joyz @Anni @rocket @Suzu it seems we formed a chain of slightly saddened souls. I am still puzzled why this particular news was a trigger for this stir of emotions. I guess we'll be having these moments from time to time and it's not a linear process for some (at least for me I know now it isn't). The term "separation anxiety" somehow speaks to me. We don't have the structure (yet), hence anxiety. I strongly believe we will, but we don't so far and I absolutely agree that all the crumbs, all the videos, snippets, broadcasts, interviews and translations are a blessing. Also - every time Yuzu says: "I am happy", "this makes me happy".
  14. It seems totally illogical and against already-not-so-current trend to use tech support in sports. It was already used in Saitama in 2019, so there was enough time to adjust it for the purpose of scoring. The estimated measurement error was about +/- 3 cm in Saitama, but my question is - do the judges see it better? You don't have to answer. Just to add, OMEGA was applying a similar system in Beijing (it gave lower figures than I-Scope for jump height, for example), but on the top of it they used motion capture equipment (6 cameras as compared to 2 cameras used by Fuji for I-Scope), and Artificial Intelligence to analyse the skaters' movements in 3D, in real time, which included, for example, no of rotations (but only the jump measurements such as height and length were displayed for the public). Still, without linking the results of these measurements to scores.
  15. Actually, Yuzu's 3A from JNats Rondo wasn't his highest recorded jump, but it was his 4A (also JNats '21), when he reached 75 cm, so according to data presented here this is 4 cm higher than the average NBA leap. See here (if you press "play" it should take you directly to the moment with I-Scope data).
  16. Interview from Shizuoka, day 3. We only got a snippet previously - now you can see he was tearful during the whole interview, perhaps knowing what we didn't know at that time.
  17. Others far far behind him, he's an absolute GOAT, who should be competing and decorated with gold. Also - how happy he is afterwards, super satisfied!
  18. I only woke up for Raison and finale - 4T-4T was great to watch! Btw I have ForJoyTV now and it is MUCH better than JapanTV in terms of streaming quality.
  19. This is for sure the most elaborated challenge - you won! But seriously, it's a wonderful project and does the justice to and would be a wonderful appreciation/celebration of Yuzu and his skating.
  20. Tsukiyomi added new posts to their translation thread - from the interview available HERE - I am only linking the first post, as there are several more (start with the one from today, i.e. 27 July if you read the previous posts). My quick take: - he does explicitly mention ice shows in the context of his engagement - he stresses how this is not a retirement, how nothing changed in terms of his determination, but how he's even more motivated - talks about how he will respond to expectations: “that’s the kind of Axel that you who support me are expecting from me” - on his ankle/injuries – “there was never a moment when it didn’t hurt” - he wants to work “even harder” (he says it repeatedly) - he doesn’t want people to just expect he’ll be into artistic expression, but he wants to do “difficult jumps” etc. emphasising he wants to be perceived as an athlete. And some other direct quotations: - “after all I want to go above and beyond what everyone expects from me” - “I want to challenge myself to the limit & I hope that I also want to show that challenge even more” - “maybe I’ll be able to do something more surprising” - “I would like to be able to do more than what you are seeking”
  21. Thank you. I didn't understand what he was saying but it was all very sad. It contrasted with the celebratory and happy atmosphere of tv Asahi program. This was pain, this was Yuzu hurt, recalling traumatic experiences. Yes, I hate them, I am now almost free of wishing he competed again, this phase is over.
