Faithyu
LOL, already looking forward to it. But if he is really wearing brand new shoes (sounded like it in one of the other clips), then I feel for him. Never wear new shoes for such a long tour!

But if he is really wearing brand new shoes (sounded like it in one of the other clips), then I feel for him. Never wear new shoes for such a long tour! I think he was choosing between two new pairs - and, boy, do I agree with you! I had saved a brand new pair of sneakers (the exact size and model of the two I wore all the time) for my trip last spring to Korea and hiked up Mt Achasan, that's not even considered a mountain, but a hill. It's the one Namjoon and Tae had to get up pre-dawn to climb for losing a Run BTS challenge (ep 44). I took the very longest, most difficult route because I was following a couple and thought they knew what they were doing. The sneakers ere NOT identical to the to pairs I had before and killed a big toenail. I was in SO much pain. Toe turned purple and I couldn't walk at all. Lesson learned. I wound up going to a nearby Sketchers store and getting a pair of men's sneakers (because they didn't have womens sizes greater than size 8.) I so, so hope Jin had better luck. I think he must have since he was able to walk like a regular person through departures at Jeju airport. Six stays on Jeju and I've done a lot of hiking but not Hallasan. It is an entire day mission and I doubt I'd enjoy any part of it, short of standing at the top. Can't wait to see this.... (And JK/Jimin in a day and a half!!!!!!) rockstaryuzu
So I don't know if you've seen the Weverse post but it looks Yoongi got into a bit of trouble... also looks like he's trying to get out ahead of the gossip mags by posting it on Weverse for ARMY first. I'm sure this is going to be an unpleasant scandal for him though... who knew you could get a DUI for riding an electric scooter (translates as 'kickboard' so I suspect he means a manual scooter you push with your foot, not a Vespa) while drunk? rockstaryuzu
Surprising no one: I wonder if this means there's any chance of a Jin and Yuzu interaction in future. That would be rad.

It's an e-scooter, they are these small scooter things you can find everywhere in a larger city and just rent one via app. And it's forbidden to ride one drunk in germany as well, but to loose your licence you would have to be extremely drunk, hope that wasn't the case and korean law is just more strict in that regard. E-scooters are a huge headache for cities and the police. I think Paris was one of the first that has forbidden them.... So, it was a stupid thing to do, but nothing that would be a huge scandal in a different country. Maybe him in the military helps, cause he is like hidden from public....I hope he doesn't get problems within the military for this. Edit - You know what I hate, if he wasn't an idol no one would care. Pretty sure if person xy gets cought, they don't get to be in the news🙄.... It's stupid, it's not like something horrible happened, but that's how they treat their stars. No mistakes allowed😑. 6 hours ago, rockstaryuzu said: Surprising no one: I wonder if this means there's any chance of a Jin and Yuzu interaction in future. That would be rad. Still kind of confusing that Gucci waited so long. 1 hour ago, Faithyu said: It's an e-scooter, they are these small scooter things you can find everywhere in a larger city and just rent one via app. And it's forbidden to ride one drunk in germany as well, but to loose your licence you would have to be extremely drunk, hope that wasn't the case and korean law is just more strict in that regard. Maybe him in the military helps, cause he is like hidden from public....I hope he doesn't get problems within the military for this. My husband got a DUI on a golf cart and lost his license. In Minnesota, it's technically a DUI to drive any motorized vehicle while drunk and any DUI can cause you to lose your license, but it's largely up to the discretion of the police officer. My husband probably wouldn't have been stopped if he didn't go off lot and hit a sign and would probably have been let go with a warning if he didn't proceed to offend the police officer and blow triple. The judge said he didn't want to give him the DUI, but if he didn't, then every bar would be full of golf carts. My husband's punishment was the same as any other DUI offender. Later, my friend and I had e-scooters downtown and talked to a cop who was working some event. The cop just said to not ride the scooters in front of him. He didn't verbalize it, but essentially saying that he doesn't actually care, but he didn't want to be put in an awkward position since he's technically supposed to arrest us. A statement was released that since Yoongi did this on his personal time, there would be no military punishment. Civil service is treated essentially like another citizen. I just checked what the promille count is in south korea to loose your licence, everything over 0.8, so quite strict compared to us in germany. You would loose it at 1.1, but everything above 0.5 is already not allowed and you get a fine. It's an uncomftable one time experience for Yoongi, where thankfully nothing really happened. And also, especially if it's BTS. There's idols who were part of the Burning Sun scandal that were let go with a slap on the wrist, but Yoongi can't even have a stumble in his front yard without the world passing judgement

Over 0.8 or over 0.08? Ours is anything over 0.08, the police can charge you with DUI and suspend your license, but it doesn't apply to e-scooters because the use of them is unlicensed, like bikes. However, it does apply to boating! Do not drink and pilot a boat in Canada. Personally I think the police officer might have looked the other way if Yoongi hadn't been famous. This is the kind of situation that gives cops a headache

This is the kind of situation that gives cops a headache It would have to be 0.08. When I got my DUI (and subsequently stopped drinking) my blood alcohol level was 0.35 - my attorney said they should have brought me directly to the hospital and that most people would have been in a coma, or dead. In Arizona, you can be charged with riding a horse drunk. His scooter was the kind you don't even drive on the main road (I saw bits of CCTV video I can't find now). He was cruising right along, not swerving or anything, on the sidewalk, I think. This is only a big deal because he is BTS. I think the cop targeted him. He must feel awful. I hope the other members have been in touch with him.

Guess we count it differently...or are just lazy and got rid of one zero to make it easier😅🤷🏼♀️. 17 minutes ago, barbara said: His scooter was the kind you don't even drive on the main road (I saw bits of CCTV video I can't find now). A police officer saw him, wanted to help him and smelled the alcohol, tada, you have yourself a shitty situation, just bad luck I guess🤷🏼♀️. And in germany you have to drive these things on the main road. Sidewalk is forbidden.
