And actually, how could he have done it? (I get confused with the repeating jumps rules again) Iirc at WTT he said he was thinking about doing 6(?) quads while spinning but it would affect the coreography, so he didn't. I don't remember the source, though. Link to comment

I just hope he'll put Brian's advice first, ahead of what he reads in books and such, because Brian seems to know what he's doing. Sometimes Yuzu might be right and Brian not so much - 4Lo - but generally, Brian seems to know what he's doing. I hope their communication is now really good, so even if Yuzu gets other ideas, he can discuss them with Brian to make sure they don't clash. I hope that too. And I believe as they are both professionals and have worked together for long they have found a balance regarding their views. 1 hour ago, KatjaThera said: Wasn't that at WTT? Someone will surely confirm this. (In Helsinki he did 4L, 4S, 4S3T, 4T) Link to comment

(I get confused with the repeating jumps rules again) I think the theory was that he might've thought about doing a 4Lz instead of 3Lz as his last jumping pass at Worlds and that's why he said that he felt he didn't have enough energy. But he never actually talked about it so that remains a theory. Link to comment

I think some people were thinking he was planning to replace the 3A in the 3A-Lo-3S with a 4T. Which was sort of reinforced later on when he was practicing the 4T combo as what everyone thought was a contingency plan during WTT. Link to comment

Actually, I was thinking of some awesome YOLO-ing myself, after 4CC, but I hadn't heard of him saying anything along those lines. I thought Worlds plan was just to aim to be perfect (though maybe if 4S-3T had failed, he would have YOLO-ed some?). I'd be curious to hear if he did consider 5 quads, especially since many - including myself - seem to think he should probably do 5 this season. Link to comment
yana
Who knows what Yuzu thinking. He even thinking change layout while spins. Brian and Tracy also suprise when he do that. Poor us liking someone like him. Link to comment
Neenah
Sorry Is there any announcement before the open practice we are waiting for or are they just going to drop it on us suddenly without warning? I am getting nervous and want to be prepared if possible Link to comment

If I remember correctly, he mentioned it in an interview afterwards (might look for it later on when I get the chance). I don't believe people were thinking he was planning to do 5 quads until after he mentioned it. Though he didn't say exactly how he planned to incorporate the added quad into his layout. Fans just speculated that the most likely scenario was that he was thinking to revise the 3A combo into a 4T combo. But yeah, we don't know what exactly was going through his head. Link to comment

Considering that on the 16th he'll be in Japan, I'd say anytime between now and end of next week? (since I guess he'll want to arrive in Japan a day or two before the Yokohama event... ) So... yes. We might just wake up one of these mornings with news of the FS... 12 minutes ago, katonice said: If I remember correctly, he mentioned it in an interview afterwards (might look for it later on when I get the chance). If you have time to look for that, I'd love to see it. But yes, I'm sure nobody but Yuzu knows - or understands - what goes on in his head lol Maybe some day he'll do an FS where he won't announce any layout - well beyond what's necessary for the sake of paperwork - and YOLO all the jumps according to what he feels like (Actually a 'skate battle' like that, where they improvise layout, could be really interesting. I'm pretty sure he'd do very good, what with his ability to adapt) Thankfully, that's very unlikely lol Link to comment
Lyyli
I found an article where he said after FS Helsinki that he had the 5th quad in his mind but did not have the strength for it. He also said that his legs felt tired during the warm-up. The article is in Finnish and it was published in a newspaper called Aamulehti. I wonder did he speak about it at the Press conference or maybe he was interviewed for this particular newspaper. I´ll check that later. Link to comment
