A clean performance with 4LZ and 4A would certainly break 350 even with 1 less jumping pass Probably not with lower BV on jumps. And I'm not sure Yuzu (or anyone) would be getting +5 on any jumps. Maybe his 3A. If there's a jump that deserves all the GOE.....

Intellectually, I feel like if he fixes his second half popping this early season, it'll help a lot, even with a shaky first half. Time until February will fix his success rate incorporating the 4Lz and 4Lo together, but he needs to stop popping his second half. Then he'll be good to go. Sentimentally, I'm hopeful but always nervous.

He's in the middle of many skaters hungry for a win-hence the pack of werewolves. How did that end btw if I may ask?

It was fine, we managed to locate and rescue the boy wonder out, though I think isu might be more fitting for that werewolf role.

Other mistake was on the landing of the 4S so he couldn’t do the combo on it but he added the 3T onto the axel but wasn’t able to put the 1Lo3S anywhere else (maybe at the end but his landing was so-so in that axel). So technically... he didn’t pop that many jumps in the second half, the errors in Russia were more due to lack of secure landing than anything. I expect that to be improved by NHK this week.
Xen Posted November 7, 2017 Posted November 7, 2017 Thinking of Yuzu's skin and his recent CMs, someone tell me why no skincare company has.sponsored him yet. Shiseido, Kose, I am dissappointed in you.

FCSSp4 Posted November 7, 2017 Posted November 7, 2017 The circumstances that allowed Yuzuru to get 330 with three quads is because he skated clean, TWICE back to back. Recreating that to me is what the real challenge is. 350 is no joke, but its possibility extends beyond just skating clean especially now that the other men are getting higher GOEs BUT also going for difficult layouts that aren't easy. That said, I don't think it's entirely impossible. But this is the sort of thing that on paper sounds achievable but is a completely different matter. But just for fun: SP: 115 (TES:66 PCs:49) FS: 236 (TES: 138 PCs:98) TSS: 351

He popped 4lo to 3lo too but in this case it was a wise decision because if he fell on it and URed : 4.40, even worse a downgrade: 3.00. Bad landing on the UR 4lo in the SP: 6.34, Seimei 3lo w/ positive GOE: 5.70 (Only 0.64 pt. difference) This is one of those cases where him popping is actually a good thing imho. Studying protocols is definitely one of Yuzu's strengths. That 2T though, that was very costly he can't afford missing combos but I'm sure he knows that better than most of us.
