okaythen Posted April 2 Share Posted April 2 Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum but not new at all to Yuzuru Hanyu, I've been casually following him since he was 16 until his first olympic gold medal, and then not so casually from then on. I've been on a figure skating break for a couple years, but I watched the World championship a couple days ago and was compelled to go back to Hanyu's beautiful performances. I fear I'm giving in to the obsession again, and I welcome it. Is there any way for me to watch his solo shows? I'm desperate. Thanks. Edit: typo. Link to comment

I totally understand you obsession You can buy dvd of his ice show but I don't remember on which site.... or watch Gift, one of his ice story on Dysney + if you have it (with all the subtitle). Hanyu is globally popular, so I'm a bit disappointed at how all his content seems to be targeted exclusively at his japanese audience, but not too surprised. I'm more surprised that most of it is not readily available online, but I want to watch these shows in their best quality, and if that means I have to buy a dvd reader, then so be it I guess. Also, it's one of the countries with more proportion of older population, including 100 plus years of age. GIFT is available on Disney Plus though delivery stopped in Europe. You could watch it with VPN set up in Japan, Canada, etc. though. The othet Ice Stories have been live streamed and then have a 1 week archive period. I buy Blu-Rays from Japan because the Japanese zone for them is compatible with the Americas. Japanese DVD zone is compatible with Europe. There are Blu-ray/DVD players that are compatible with different zones though. You can also watch them on game consoles like Play Station. Link to comment
