Don't know why I want an "official" explanation for this, it's just so funny & endearing to me. He had the best entrance for sure 

Yuzu was doing part of his R+J1 choreography hence the flailing arms and Daisuke and Patrick kinda of laughing at this 16 year old enthusiastic puppy. It is my favorite podium Yuzu entrance ever.

ETA Nevermind.  Someone dug up an old Sochi quote and people are reporting it as new.
