General Yuzuru Chat
Yuzuru hanyu's LP, hope and legacy of course has been voted the best LP this season from the icenetwork poll! Also additionally, Ice talk (with Nick Mccarvel, Nick Zaccardi and Jackie Wong) from icenetwork, did a season review. Seems like they talked about Yuzuru a bit here (around the 28.00 min) Will add what is in it after I listen to it. http://web.icenetwork.com/fans/icetalk

SP exists on YT, in 2 variants the problem is both have the audio copyright strike. This may be the FS but I am not certain Yeah, I saw the SP one (both are muted lol sad) But this is the first time I watch the FS. Really want to see it, because I think this is the first time he lands 4T in competition. Thanks Yata! :goe:

Is NHK trophy 2010 really nonexistent everywhere and his part never been broadcasted? Just asking.

Yes, definitely Dick Button, considering everything. I do believe Mr. Button has five and that ought to be quite satisfying. IKR? Though I am content with what he has now (sort of), another one or two would be nice too But for the time being, I hope he is healthy and happy. And he is probably somewhere doing his new program (or is still choosing music) who knows?

Didn't he bomb more at SC this season? Or was that just the SP? Yeah only in SP, but if he bombs his early competition, who cares anyway? Do we want to see him peak at GPF again? He finally manage to peak at 4CC and worlds, I can see why he is thinking that skipping ice shows may benefit him that way. And his having to skip Japanese Nats last season means he would likely peak at Nats and 4CC if we took last season's peaking strategy into account.

Honestly though I won't be so concerned if he will not go to any ice shows. Last season he did not go to a single one, and he was in the best shape that he has ever been in his entire senior career. So... (besides, there is always the CS to go and bomb things)

Team Japan
Lol okay, gotta ask, is she doing tango or maybe flamenco/paso doble because... that costume. Flamenco? I think I saw a tweet about it being flamenco, but isn't it too early for a program? Might be an EX? LOLOLOLOL I KNEW IT! That costume just screams flamenco :rofl2:

No one I think. Rika Kihira will reveal them this Saturday (I think?) but I don't think anyone has announced them yet. Thanks! Seems like prince ice world is today? I thought there will be quite a number who announce their programs haha

So far, aside of Shoma, who has announced their programs from TJ?

Not sure if this has been posted here, if so my apologies ice network do a polling for favorite SP for men in 2016-2017, ofc Yuzu won by a huge margin. Do vote for hope and legacy later for FS (if they include it) P.S Also wth is let's get crazy, icenetwork?

Your english is fine, I am not native speaker too but I can understand it just fine, don't worry! I think edge call is pretty easy to recognize, you can see that right before take off their blade would switch to flat or completely to the opposite side. Sometimes you can recognize it from the position of their legs too. I noticed many flutzer would kind of spread their leg before take off thus the tendency to switch from outside to inside is heightened.

From what I remember, he change his boot to piano (it was supposed to be harder ), and we suspect it was because of his lysfranc, that he needs sturdier boots than what he usually used. His problem is likely the usual problem skater has when they first "break in into their boots", nothing too serious I think? Yuzuru almost never mention boot problem, nothing I ever recalled. But then again this is a guy who does not mention he needs to do the surgery after Nats and not mention about his lysfranc problem at worlds. So I don't expect him to lament about something that is probably more trivial like boots (because this issue can be overcome more than injuries tbh). He rarely even mentioned his sub-par performance at the early season was due to his being off-ice for 2 months, he just said he needs to practice more haha.

Rika plans two 3A in Lp next year. 3A and 3A2T i guess. And yep, there was a video of her 4T (ur but it was after training it for 2 days) and I just saw a video of 3-3 with tano yesterday. Team Hamada is also great at polishing talent, so she definitely has huge potential. She has already improved so much since she was a novice. I have heard about the 2 3As next year I don't know what to feel about that though. I feel like this is a double-edge sword. But go big or go home I guess? since the russians are doing quads now (yikes). But she is quite complete imo. Now if she can stay healthy, and does not lose her 3A after puberty. she is a real threat to everyone. Add : I think rika not being age eligible for pyeongchang is a blessing in disguise. She can take her time to polish her jumps and presentation, without rushing and having all the pressure. I hope she won't focus so much on the 3A though. She has other many qualities beside that jump.

Team we're fewer but still good!
I have a feeling he would share a GP with yuzuru? Idk why

Team Canada
Well, Canada has the BIGGEST chance in making the top podium for team event in my opinion. Which is why Chan would be so eager because hey he can be an OGM regardless of what happened in the individual event Let's see... based on worlds : Patrick is 5th, but shoma and Yuzu would be under the same camp, Javi won't be competing and thus all that left is Boyang and Nathan. Worst case scenario for him is he is going to be 4th if he doesn't bomb. Boyang is beatable by him if he can keep it together. If Japan.China does not qualify for FS, he would even go up even more (IF he wants to skate both events) The ladies : Only going to be between Japan, Russia, US, Canada and maybe Italy. but Gabby and Osmond should easily be 3rd in a worst case scenario if they don't bomb. even if they are behind US they would still be 4th. They could be 2nd or 3rd imo (again Japan also has the possibility of not making FS) The pairs : D/R would be up against chinese pairs and S/M and T/M. Worst case scenario they should be 4th in both events. germany may not make it to FS. so 3rd FS and 4th SP is already worst case scenario for them imo. Ice dance : even if V/M lost the SP (which is also unlikely) france very likely will not make the FS so I am betting on ID getting 1st in both Very HIGH chance in getting gold because US pairs sucks, Japan ID and pairs are blah and Russia ID and Men are blah while Chinese ID and Women are meh.
