  1. The thing about yuhana that I know of is... she only has 3T3T and her other 3-3 is not reliable? Thus why she is working hard on 3A. I don't know about Kinayo. Agreed about Rika which is why I said if she is healthy part. But she seems to be back jumping 3A and 4T so I guess whatever the problem with her knee is, it is better now?
  2. Right about the rumors of him going back to Toronto? where was it from?
  3. I heard Rika landed a 4T (no need to say anything about her 3A3T2T, we know she can do that) come on Japanese men, step up your game  What is great about her is she actually has pretty consistent 3-3 too? So she is not too dependable on her 3A. And she has decent SS and presentation, pretty good spins too. Maybe needs more refinement, but if she can stay healthy and is not eaten by the puberty monster, she is the girl that has a really HUGE potential imo.
  4. The team event is quite different to WTT. He will likely just skate the SP there.
  5. It is as if they do an exchange with kovtun lol this coach switch is so funny to me XD
  6. KO has great SS and big jumps though so I think the big score in terms of PCS and GOE for her is justifiable. It is just that she almost never skate a clean LP. Kaori and Wakaba's jumps are pretty big imo, the two of them are also fast; have good SS. If consistent they will be tough to beat (especially if Wakaba's 3A is actually happening) Marin is actually my favorite ladies skater among currently competing skaters, but I think she is kind of like a jack of all trades, she is considerably good/ok in all aspects but not really the best (a complete skater, I'd say). Her jumps are so-so, so does her spin, her SS are great but I won't put her at the top too in terms of SS. But she got all the weapons, and many rooms to improve. I hope the media is not suffocating her so much and let her grow as a skater because she has the potential.
  7. She is actually consistent in the SP. Not so much in the LP but more consistent than Marin and Wakaba, imo. She has big PCS (29 and 60, not so far from Marin or even Mai in her senior debut), in a much better start than Mai was when she enter senior season. If she actually can do what Mai do, being relatively clean in her senior debut. She has as good as a chance as the others. Mai was actually behind wakaba, marin and even Yuna S in the junior season of 15/16, but her being quite consistent help her made a splash in the senior.
  8. What about Elizabet? Oh right I forgot about her. She got some negative GOE but she landed everything iirc. But that can also be said about Gabby daleman
  9. Helsinki world is such a weird event. Only medvedeva skate 2 clean programs among the top 5. Among the top 10, I think dabin choi too? Who else do I miss? Satoko is not around, Zagitova is not yet senior (I am positive she will make the team barring injuries) Pogo bombed after being so so consistent all season long. I think the road to pyeongchang would be quite tough for the US ladies, I have yet to see any of them skate 2 clean programs back-to-back this season, and I think that would be what is necessary to even reach the top 5 at PC, or even make it to GPF.
  10. Same here. I am following Japanese juniors, and I will be frank here without any intention to offend or anything, I think for the men they are quite behind. Kazuki is 18, had a 4S and 3A, Koshiro is 15, but barely has a 3A. I heard Shun Sato is practicing 3A, but in my opinion none of the juniors really "soar" yet. Of course they could suddenly gained their jumps in such a short time (like how Shoma gained his 4T+3A), things might be different. But as of now, I think it would need to wait the younger ones (the novice ones, not the junior ones) to develop before they can fill the current skaters' shoes If you compare it to the US, Russians (or even Cha Jun Hwan (15, has 4S and 3A + 4T and 4Lo in practice) or Stephen Gogolev (CAN, Has 4S and 3A, 4Lz and 4T in practice), they are objectively behind. For the olympics spot, I think come rain or shine the 2 spots would be given to Shoma and Yuzuru. While the 3rd spot is a fight between Keiji, Sota, Mura, Dice, Ryuju (I hope I forgot noone) For the ladies, I think any of the combination of these 5 ladies is possible --> Satoko, Mai, Wakaba, Marin, Kaori. (I honestly think Rika has very low to almost no chance, but hey ice is slippery) For pairs, it will go to Ryuichi and dance kana and chris (if they get one) About Japan getting the team spot, I think they will likely get it, there are still many spots left and their team is the ne who have big chance to get them. That said, I won't be too sad or bothered if they don't qualify, more chance to rest for the others. It' not like Javi or denis ten or yuna kin skate in the team last olympics, and they all did okay.
  11. Today in Sendai Station (posted by Fumiko Shibata in YHIFG facebook) https://www.facebook.com/groups/1610393525875114/permalink/1895552814025849/ Guess who's that?
  12. Yeah something like that. You are free to dump everything here. The media thread has similar function to before, however the media thread would be more organized later (hopefully) where translation, news articles, fanarts, pictures etc would have their own dedicated place. I probably would create a fanaccount/fan testimony section too. I would ask everyone's suggestion later on how to organize/sort out the media thread so that it is for everyone's best convenience for future references, after we are done sorting out the old media thread.
  13. Welcome Geo1! Good to see you here too I am sure you are not the only one, we have 1000 members after all, but maybe the others are too shy to post hahaha
  14. Agree with Dani there Start with a combo first for the sake of everything lol. Less stress for me and less stress for him. XD It is always good to have a back-up plan. If he nails his combo first he could be more relaxed going into the solo jump. But Brian said Yuzu is a no safety net guy so I think I won't hope too much too. :( I agree about the mental block issue for 4S3T though, he can do it fine in practice, but it does seem like he is affected after botching it so many times in competition. But at the same time I don't know if going back to 4T3T would make him more consistent. One thing is for sure, his 4T is more reliable than 4S, despite lysfranc and everything
  15. Lol considering the entry that is quite good. :p It still makes me cry for his knees when he land it like that though. But he will be a skating hermit in Toronto for a while and who knows what he is up to.
  16. Lol what am I to do without you and our forever lamenting at that combo  I don't know what to feel about that jump tbh. From that one video we saw it seems like it is still a long progress. But then again many other skaters manage to get them just by grinding it over and over (nathan, vincent etc I heard dima had it too? and daniel?) Then again I am not sure that is the road he wants to take at the olympic year, he seems to be very clear about how he wants to stay healthy (and boy how glad I am that it is his main priority now). What do you think of SP layout like this : 4Lo /// 4S3T 3A or 4Lo3T/// 4S 3A the first one is not much change just moving the combo in the second half. The second is more change but less risk of getting the +Combo. I think he should do his combo first because I get stressed otherwise lol. All I want to say to this is... LOL YUZU PLS
  17. From the video of his 4Lz attempt at WTT, look like he is training it similar with his 3Lz entry or not? I did not remember well. But if so, lol that is quite... something. Seriously not even everyone can land 3Lz with his entry hahahaha
  18. Hey the soulmate is here, in weakness and strength, sickness and health, happiness or sorrow (or in landed 4S3T, 4S Fall, 4S+Combo, or 2S1Lo) Anyway based on nanoka translation I actually get a different impression now about his 4Lz remark, and think he actually is considering to train the 4Lz and see how it go. I am also inclined to think about keeping the SP layout, because he has yet to be clean and will likely train it like no tomorrow in the off-season. but well everything else is up in the air now. I actually think he will get the 4Lz fast if not for the crazy transition (I mean who did that anyway) but that's just Yuzuru for you.
  19. @Yatagarasu and @Axelnojutsu Yep especially since we have trained ourselves last season when there are barely anything from him hahahaha Well I wonder when he will announce his music. I hope soon. Seems like people has start calling dibs on music choice
  20. For this particular season even if he is in Canada the entire off season I won't be complaining tbh.
  21. Yeah, but I expect people will be understanding about it And there is not many updates from him too today. Besides, when you go to the general thread, you expect things to be random and messy hahaha. I saw some discussions going on in other sub-threads; like costumes and ice shows or international talk too, so I think users start to branch out a bit
  22. No worries at all, dear :D All of us here are still getting used to stuff too. Thank you for letting all of us know ^^
  23. Done too! Btw does anyone know how to report the issue with the registration confirmation mail being sent to the spam section? It seems that not only me experienced this problem. It took me half of a day to find it  Hi, I'm sure the admins are working on it. Most are already aware about the problems (phishing alert, registration mail goes to spam) and suggestion (like button, quote notification etc) and they are still working on it. Hopefully it can be resolved soon :) For future problems, there is the suggestion/feedback thread. Everyone can post there
  24. I just want to say thank you to everybody! In less than 1 day we have : 542 members Almost 40000 hits Almost 1000 posts With most users online at once at 451 users (guest+members) Hope we will be growing more, keep this space a happy place, and spread more love and support for Yuzuru!
  25. I've noticed while browsing through the media thread both dead links (which I guess I won't use) and some non-directly related things to Yuzu (like pictures of the rink where a competition will take place taken by a fan). I'm not sure if we're meant to save all of these from past competitions? Noticed it too. Which is why it is better to sort it out first. Not everything will be included. There must be some that is double-post too (same pictures/videos but different uploader) ETA : I will try to find alt links to broken links too once everything is sorted out.
