I’m very proud of my beloved Etude for not being down in the trenches in this poll 😭 it’s still one of my top costumes of his. I wish Requiem had more votes, though! It’s gorgeous and reminds me of sea foam, with the little pearls and beads being seashells.

It was so great to see POTO again 🥹 Yuzu’s interpretation of it is my all time favorite, I could never get tired of watching it. I think it’s amazing that he wants to perfect it even more now!

Has anyone else dealt with combining orders for WorldShopping? I already contacted them way in advance and got confirmed for it, but now that both of my Prologue orders have arrived at the warehouse I’m just waiting for them to invoice it as a single package and hoping it goes okay 😅

Are the giveaway items from this still being sent out? I realized recently that I’d never received mine so I was just curious! It also could’ve gotten lost in the mail, which is common in international shipping 🥲 No worries either way, just thought I’d ask about it!

I wasn’t quite sure where to put this, but I just wanted to ask if any translators here would want to work together to sub Prologue in Hachinohe D3! I can do the subbing part as I have experience with it, but I’m definitely not fluent enough in Japanese to pass anything off as a proper translation on that large of a scale lol. I have a decent enough grasp of the language to get the gist of things and be able to time the subs accordingly so no worries there, but I just want to make sure Yuzuru’s words are conveyed well. I’m aware that a couple fanyus on Twitter have already posted translations of a few parts, but I wanted to see if anyone is able to work on it in full since those are all in bits and pieces 😅 There are a bunch of little talking segments, both with Yuzu and the announcer, as well as text in the VTRs that would need to be translated. I made a list with the times of each part from one of the raw uploads of the show if anyone is seriously interested in helping translate. Credit for everyone’s contributions would be included of course. I haven’t seen the Axel With Wings team mention anything about subbing any of the Prologue shows so that’s why I’m eager to do it and post it on here! If anyone is willing to help out with translations then please let me know 🙏 I can post the list of parts that would need to be done if multiple people want to spread out the work as well. Edit: I just saw that tsukihoshi posted a subbed version of Yokohama D2! My post feels a bit awkward now but I still really want to work on Hachinohe D3 so my offer to sub it is still open, haha.

Hello! I was just wondering if you'd consider adding a section to our profiles for pronouns? Or maybe a small bio section if you want to make it more general (unless you'd rather we just use the "Interests" section for it). Not super important since we can just include our pronouns in posts but it came to mind recently! I'm a relatively new (registered) user so I don't feel like I even have the authority to make a suggestion, but I figured it couldn't hurt. Thank you for maintaining the site so well and happy anniversary!

When did you become a fan of Yuzu? A friend first told me about him in mid-2016! I binge watched as many of his programs as I could find and immediately fell in love. It was right after the 2015/16 season had ended, so my first full season with him was 2016/17. I have vague memories of watching figure skating with my mom as a kid, but no one had ever drawn me in like Yuzu. When and why did you sign up for Planet Hanyu? I only joined very recently, right after Beijing. I hadn’t been keeping up too well with figure skating the past couple of seasons due to being preoccupied with the pandemic, but the 2022 Olympics drew me right back in because there was no way I was going to miss Yuzu at such an important event. After watching his programs live, I was searching for videos to rewatch them since the official Olympics channel had them geoblocked for a while (sigh) and found PlanetHanyu! I may have actually used it in the past without realizing because as I was going through the “Yuzuru’s Journey” section I had already seen some of the older videos, but I never made an account until this February. Did you make any irl friends through Planet Hanyu? I haven’t really posted anything here, more just a silent video watcher and lurker, so I haven’t made any new friends. But I’m sure everyone on here is great! Have you participated in any group projects on Planet Hanyu? Same answer as the previous one, unfortunately not (though this is also because of me not making an account until recently). Did you attend any meetups with other satellites at competitions? I am giving the saddest “no” ever. Even if I had made an account earlier or planned to go with people I’m already friends with, competitions never happen in my area so it’s impossible since my family can’t afford to travel T.T What do you like the most about this forum? Definitely the video section! There are so many hidden gems on here that don’t survive on places like Y*uTube. Figure skating in general is also not a very accessible sport, of course in terms of physically participating but also in keeping official competition footage publicly archived, so I feel relieved knowing that as many of Yuzuru’s competitions as possible are stored here (even with different angles and commentary!). Aside from that, I’ve found the forum helpful for finding out information about various things that happened in earlier years that I wasn’t present for as well. People tend to be vague on social media when discussing certain incidents (with good reason, I understand why) but I like that Planet Hanyu allows everyone to explain things in length when they want. It’s truly a great safe space for fanyus. Would you like to participate in the giveaway? Yes please!
