  1. Kinda with you on that. He and Wilson are on my list of uninspiring choreographers*. And I have beef with them bcz they choreograph for skaters I care about, and gave them essentially nothing to work with, with some few exceptions. (*I'd like to pretend a certain Russian "choreographer" is just a result of our collective, continuous nightmare) _______ Also, Mao, Yuna, Yuzuru. Wow, overabundance in modesty, really. Plus, why only famous Asian skaters, I wonder. He did write "there is so many more", but the ones he could name on top of his head are these 3, especially? As kids these days would say, "Sus". _______ ETA: Yuzu will WD. Even if he would be given access to vaccine, which is highly unlikely, I don't think he would chance it. When he WD from GP he said it was first and foremost due to concerns over his own health, yes. But he added that it was also with an understanding that his presence will draw crowd. Even if he and other athletes will somehow get vaccination priority - which they won't, the audience certainly will not. So. Also, getting vaccinated is not a walk in a park either, you know. I am as far from an antivaxxer as possible, but any vaccine done this quickly is just too risky, esp for someone who already has an underlying health issue.
  2. The Schrodinger's Cat jokes is rather universal, tho - not only this fandom uses it. Every time anything could be either yes or no and there's no way to know either way, people call it Schrodinger's -something- with reference to Schrodinger's Cat. I am surprised you missed that point. But, well, I hope now you know, so that you do not get offended so easily when people reference this here or somewhere else again. ____ Now that I can finally focus on something other than that thing, Zuzu, congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For real this time!!
  3. Not sure. My last interaction (read: venting frustration) with her was April 2019. It's probably just real life getting in the way. At least I hope that is it.
  4. On the topic of jumping technique: Alice's summary of the takeoffs of Toe jumps. Chen has some good points re his jumping technique - he would not have been as consistent at landing them if his technique was truly atrocious. However, as Alice said while comparing the Flips, His choice to rely on going into the rotation as quick as possible (without having to reach the height and distance quads usually require) is, I think, the reason 1) why Axel is a challenging jump for him 2) he can be consistent at landing the quads he does have, but 3) his quads are not as awe-inducing as any of Yuzu's, or Jin's and Kolyada's 4Lz. It works for him, tho. So Bonus, cz I miss Yuzu, Alice, and good Lutzes: On Lutzes - both Men's and Ladies'.
  5. I still stand by my observation from last comps that Mana's program is the most competition ready. That PCS is a crime for her, even more so than for Mai (but yeah, for everyone but Kaori, really). Just, ok, so Kaori is the anointed one, but do you really have to underscore everyone like that? Esp with how much Kaori bungled THAT specific performance THAT day, and how almost everyone did better. DO NOT TURN ME AGAINST KAORI, please...
  6. The video is choppy and missing the opening position, but here's Mai: The program now has more of a shape than the last time. Her 3-3 is a true 3-3 in here, and the 3-jump combo is back. She is a truly amazing athlete. I am still watching behind my fingers cz she is just still too frail looking, but gurl, you got this!! Here's Kaori: Considering her 2 stumbles, and also 1 pop (last jump, her usually reliable gorgeous 3Lo), I am a bit ??? at the 'barely 1 point (0.54 to be exact) below Mai' score. I find her movements also a bit more haphazardly executed this time. I think it's the, what was it, 3 times? of still-posturing (as in part of the choreo when she stop skating and just do posturing) in the choreo. Surely it messes a bit with her momentum and she then had to work hard recovering it in order to do the jumps. The 2nd half of that skate is a bit of a mess. That said, the program suit her powerful skating so much.
  7. Under spoiler cz it’s off topic, about IG not embedding.
  8. Mai's 3-3 is (sort of) back!!!!!!! This program still bored me to tears, tho... One step at a time, Mai-chan!
  9. That’s q. If she’s Russian or American, it’d be round. If she’s in a competition against a Russian and/or an American, it’d be UR.
  10. https://www.instagram.com/p/CG1fMUPJozO/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link IG isn’t cooperating with me, but the link should show Mai-chan in practice. With a 2A3T and a 3Lz2T2Lo jumps.
  11. The only bits of choreography he did that I am aware of is when he choreographed a Japanese skaters' group performance for one of the galas. Or perhaps team introduction of (eta) WTT? I can't remember what it was precisely. Yuzu has not choreographed a program for anyone.
  12. Whoah, there. They meet Lan Wangji!! Also, gees, Liu is really tall! Yibo isn't small.
  13. I can't with this description... So apt, but I
  14. Mana Kawabe: Not sure about the score, she won 2nd place overall (Kaori 1st, Mai-chan 3rd). This program looks the most competition ready, tbh.
  15. The Planet's glitchy... But it's back! Admin team, ganba!!!
  16. Seeing her smiling is so so good!! Nowhere near her best yet, obviously, and the program is a bit ??? for me. One popped Lz, low landing on the 3F, and only 2 combos. But, she did 3-turn into her 2nd 3S (however tentative), all her spins were solid, and that was a ballsy 3Lo right in front of the judges. No falls. And lovely, lovely dress! The skirt flutters so prettily. Mai-chan!!!! Ganbaaaaa!!! That being said, sigh,,,,, look at her arms, so tiny, she looks like those little girls in novice... Mai-chan, please heal properly...... Right? I am loving this trend of wearing green in FS. _____________ Kaori: She is doing 2 3Flutzes.................. Some of her jumps have slight delayed rotation and I worry (in ladies, slight delayed rotation is usually the sign the jumps are about to be uncontrollable). Also, I am still not feeling the program, Kao-chan... Hope it gets better.
  17. My Mai-chan!!!!!!!! Mai looks so small still, and very tentative. But so good to see her back on ice!! Kaori is on. Nice.
  18. That's really bad............. Cutiepie, what happened?
  19. This kind of casual thoughtlessness is why...let's just say,,, I don't stan all skaters equally.
