I should stop quoting people and just sum up my own thoughts at the latest news, but that efficient being just wouldn't be me I guess

Calming remainder (also, trigger warning for older fans-sorryyyy...) that after he was off-ice after Boston for more than two months, where he was basically starting learning jumps from zero (a thing that most likely won't repeat itself here, with the right conditioning he should stabilize up to triples in a week-two I think?), he came out and, while of course not delivering his preferred ideal skate, wet and landed first 4Lo in history. After a situation where instead of kuyashii he had mostly uncertainty whether he will be able to skate again or not. Here, at least he KNOWS he will skate again, he has had ankle problems before (which could be a drawback orz but experience-wise, it's not new) and came back from them, so at least he can focus on that and not on the I don't even know if I touch the ice competively feel he probably had after Boston. And, well...it's not like Japanese men are prone to giving in to injury, even grave ones, as one certain Yuzu fanboy has shown on the Nationals this year. So, let's leave worrying to his actual doctors and help them with what we can help-Yuzu (and his fans) support! And if we can't do that, at least we can spam skating gods with ...
-
I don't know at what to look first-ridiculous poses cats can strike, or ridiculously fitting human/space counterpart.
-
Watched it! The fanboy is strong in this one (Plush have a soft spot for both him and Mao it seems, but Mao took the role of ever suffering third wheel to fanboy-idol-fanboy relationship Plush and Yuzu here) Yay, watering time! Also, every time one of our more experienced satellites sums up the content of every new article published, for some reason I have Gothic 2 flashbacks of 'There's nothing in here' quote you get every time you're trying to look through empty corpse/chest/etc. Even though I almost never played Gothic
-
I actually watched those, but a long time ago, since I try to avoid TSL, especially after the-ekhem- Very Interesting Transition Opinion, so it's a good time to revisit those. I guess I have to go for that Plush interview-you don't ask for an interview with the Ice Robocop, if you want to try and manipulate his interview to your liking xD
-
I wish it was him...but then he wouldn't request anonymity, Brian strikes me as a person who do not like to speak up without having his name behind them to face the consequence of his words. Also, in which interview has David said that, @KatjaThera? Because I'm definitely failing at gathering enough materials about Yuzu to sustain my thirsty cactus soul lately, and getting something I didn't see/read would be great xD

Well, that's my problem-I prefer exaggerated af shounens, bc when the show is less exaggerated than the actual sport, I end up watching the real life counterpart and look where it had landed me . Just kidding, I love it here. Never before had I this much spare salt! Sure, YoI has people jumping quads left and right like it was nothing, and Ginban Kaleidoscope has a protagonist change her program like a week before competition and nail it on her first outing, but considering the top 6 and Yuzuru I'll-YOLO-3,5-revolutions-as-the-last-jump-cause-why-not and I'll-replace-my-planned-3,5-revolutions-jump-for-a-quad-as-the-last-jump-cause Hanyu, as well as this year's Zhenya's Free Program story, I'm betting the only more exciting part anime has oer actual sport are the costumes, and only because not all rl sportsmen are Japanese/influenced by them. A pinch of Frank Carrol, I think? Or Raf, when he's not drunk on quads. I'm sure I've heard Max and Angelo arguing in one podcast over where to sent hypothetical hopeful of Italy in Ladies and Men singles, and Max insisting that both can go to Brian if Eteri can't take the girl, lol. Kurt also always speaks highly of TCC, but he doesn't count as a coach, unless they made a spelling error and meant choreographer... sorry that didn't help at all OTL. Edit: Wait, when did I become SEIMEI??? Oh, it was almost 24 posts ago? Yay, me, for noticing...

YES to all this, especially varied arm position. If it's ugly, you can deduct a -1 (I think? I don't have my rulebook file open), so if that's the only bullet, or say, a second bullet with matched music composition (which is the most subjective one, so the easiest to give without backlash imo), GOE=0 so it's not worth it=you drop it. End of the story. Actually, I wonder if this was possible, but I wonder if implementing a checking GOE bullets option in the Judging system would help(and leave counting each checks number to the computer)-that way not only us would get an explanation on random GOEs, skaters on their protocols could see what the judges thought of their jumps! So, for example if the judges didn't check the matched to the music, the skater and choreographer could work on redesigning it to a different, more fitting place instead of blindly trying to guess what the hell they have to do to get more bullets...yeah, I know, we can dream -,-'

Burst out laughing at the manga part-when your non-ace player causes extinction of the dinosaurs, or conquers science and clones himself, or causes the ball to disappear, you just forget to trust the ace title in the Sports genre. The only realistical thing I've learned is to never trust people offering you strage drinks tbh. So, Yuzu costumes are like those Pokemon with two evolution routes? Like Kirilla that could go either Gardevoir or Gallade way? these Pokemons even kind of fit the Programs... Considering he is the guy recovering triples in what I count not even three weeks of training after Tohoku 2011, and more recently the guy believed to have power to recover his jumps in two/few days (Nobu, plz, don't kill my ruined heart even more...) I'd hope/guess/pray he is at least toying with old Chopin layout by now, maybe with the oldest (3T instead of 3Lz, tho?)if he's not back to having the Sal yet. Excuse you, that's the most important part! Remember the Poohs has tried to attack Shoma once, it's important to know their manpower! To which channel do I tune in to catch that movie? Seriously though, how come no director has yet bought the rights to film his biography? It doesn't even have to be called 'based on', he has a perfect mix of drama, pain, and protagonist always coming out on top in his life, EVEN WITH SPARKLES FOR ADDED EFFECT. Is it too perfect of a mix for scenario of a bestseller??Maybe there is no proper actor, but y'know, the kid technically has filming experience... And I will be 100% voting to nominate it for Oscar.

I spit my tea after seeing that-I exected another row of Yuzurus or something, not...that xD It's great, tho. I assume they wanted to give hype to yet unhyped athletes, bc Satton's GPF'16 photo makes my argument about lack of recent materials on him less probable I guess (though then they should take out Shoma and put Keiji in his place, he's the darkest of the dark horses among TJ I guess)

Still four hours of 2017 left for me, but in theme of all the wishes here, below you'll find the links to all the moments I wish to bring over from the 2017 into 2018- because, despite GP of Doom, there were quite some, and all thanks to Yuzu! So, while 2018 has A LOT places to be better than 2017 (PrayForNoMoreInjuries), it also has a reference to what to do to be Good!Year.

1:08 And Wild R&J1 appears! (I knew I know this tone...because Drama)

Isn't that basically "don't let him waste/don't let his talent go to waste"? And spoken in quite a friendly way too, so she definitely knew him-I think he was her teacher somewhere along the way (lol, yes, as if that wasn't obvious with her titling him a sensei). Brian in some interviews has said that he used almost exact words on Yuzu during the practice before FS. Along with 'just trust your training' and 'don't overtrin, boy'. I guess Yuzuru finally came to accept that his coach is actually right? And wanted to say that himself? Though other interpretations are possible(and amusing as hell), too. Even with reminders set on my phone, making me drink a 1,5 litre a day is a miracle. I guess I'm gonna cheer on Hydroblade...

He himself has said that because he doesn't feel like he's complying with Japaneseness because of his open show of emotions on ice, want for win, frustration, etc.(he's probably listened to all the Japanese stereotypes million times by now), he tries to make up for them by being polite, bowing a lot, (learning how to say thank you in 1348290 languages) etc.And since people like to make up stories based on the first sight, and kiritoru segments focused on him being the god-like don't help, the image of ideal idol-like guy has been created. I actually always thought he remids himself he needs 10 points more for the overall score WR, since Tracy's lips seems to mouth 'world record' (or 'free score' -I'm not so sure anymore) few seconds earlier. It would actually seem logical, since 10 points do not mean breaking the SP WR(had he been given them there), but it WOULD push the score over 330, which was his highest total, breaking for which I'm sure he's constantly aiming (or actually, for the perfection that would break it as a fringe benefit, no sweat).

Merry Christmas to the christmas celebrating Satellites and a (very late) happy Hanukkah to those celebrating that! They took the page from PG's organisers xD *seriously though, Yuzuru Hanyu Withdrawal Syndrome seems to hit the whole FS community, not only his fans xD* Knowing Yuzu-it's possible But that's why it's so exciting to be his fan, albeit a bit hearbreaking when you get too invested and start having phantom pains in the legs in places he has injured himself *my self-defense instincts were conquered by this guy it seems...* Anyway, I guess we hit the bottom so hard during GP series that from here is only a way upwards. Somebody already mentioned Patrick is feeling motivated again, Javi has proven he IS back in shape already, he and Kolyada (and Voronov) will face off at Euros, which actually means quite interesting Euros *leGasp* and we know Yuzuru still has at least two more comps to add a LP World Record to the SP one from the beginning of the season. Three, if they decide to give him free and not the short in the team (though I doubt they will, if they select that based on SB-I mean, nobody skated above Yuzu's short SB, because I haven't heard about new WR yet). Now we only need enough info/ads/news to sustain us through another month of drought and we're off for the new season...'s half. Also to those saying WR in clean Yuzu skate would be a nice perk-it's not, it's basically a fact, since perfect Yuzu Hanyu skate is synonym to 110+/220+score...

I enter the planet only half noticing the Seimei star on its tab and...holy shit, @Hydroblade thanks for killing me like that, my defense levels are down since I'm so tired...that's the best form of christmas death.

Yuzu:the floor is watered down layout. sorry couldn't resist. O-kay, seems like Yuzu endorsers decided to water the cactis a bit Trying to convince me a guy in his twenties cares about fragnance of the detergent...nice try, Japan, nice try. (then again, he is scent sensitive, so maybe...thanks, now I will be wondering about 'does he, does he not') So, how's everyone doing? I guess it was quite a good idea not to wach any Nats this weekend, instead busying myself with family stuff. Anecdote: since my family situation has a lot of drama, I seem to have started to cope with it by comparing it to FS drama, aka this season is the worst so far, we should get better soon, since we cannot go any lower. (also, a lot of my consoled family members gets more confused than sad after I console them since my go-to line is 'at least you didn't have to withdraw!' Unless it has something to do with failure in the kitchen-then it's 'Don't worry, first pancakes are like that' which isn't any less confusing tbh.)

My internet (and christmas chores, yay for being only person specialized in making homemade pasta...) is killing me, this Planet revives me!

Same, we're both too much of rabid readers to skip reading the first line, aren't we xD Just dropping by to say I'm alive and my plane was one of the smallest, cutest things in the business I suspect

TAT will coadopt him with Hanyu-mama, Javi will make him his brother/in-law/whatever, and we are all set Actually, there was a lot of Poohs in Europe, weren't there? MAybe we should do a group adoption, then No it's not, Japan has three singles skaters approved for Olys, so each of them can: do both TE programs; do one TE program; do none TE programs. It would be different if there was only one skater in the discipline, there wouldn't be this many options^^ Ugh, the pressure of keeping the title for four years vs every year recalibration of the Champion. It's like "four years passed, will he be up to the task or won't he?" Also the fact that Olys are the oldest sport competition invented by humanity (with short breaks for wars etc.) probably doesn't help lessen the pressure... you know, compared to it, the not-yet-30-years-old GPF seem like a baby Also, as with any news of his injuries for the last month, we should just sit and relax a bit untill the media select one story for us to believe, or until TCC/JSF decide to release a proper statement on the 4CC/Worlds/Olys teams...
-
How about Sochi 2.0 being the reverse, with him winning a'la Helsinki, with FS WR, so that when he sums kuyashii PC Gold with Kuyashii Sochi gold, it gives him two perfect performances and two disasters? We're bad fans aren't we...

Correction: that face is the last thing to die. I'm already convincing myself with the numbers- as a not very mathematically talented person, but also a bit of a history nerd, the 114 years of Planes history make me quite confident we developed them enough to survive a two-hour flight Especially since I made similiar route this year twice and without any turbulences! Yep let's finish it, no need to give more stress to other anxiety prone satellites.
-
No it wasn't T.T It had most of their ballet, crew and three out of five solists in there (the fourth wasn't going because his child was being born, so it kinda saved it's parent already) I will become your avatat then! (I was going to correct that to avatar, but in light of our joking about TAT adopting Yuzu, I guess it can stay xD)

I CAN HELP WITH THAT, YAY! Actually, stamina loss won't be THAT big of a problem-remember, even Dai-chan said he's doing off ice rehab so that is okay! Considering the boy was ready to jump triples after like, two weeks of practice after 03.11, makes me feel fairly confident about hm reclaiming his technical content, too, even if we're not talking about the teenager anymore, but the men in his twenties (so, let's give him credit of twice that time-it's 28 days, so still less than what is left till OG!) Second, till the first competition of Olys, aka men Team SP, you still have 54 days, provided they allow Yuzu to be fashionably late and skip opening ceremony etc (and what can you deny your biggest frigging hope for a OGM...like, seriously, what? Maybe too early return to the ice, and that's only with the strong support of his team). I suck at math, but I'm pretty sure that's still quite a LOT MORE than two weeks between GP events, like what he had to do back at '14 GPS, and definitely more than the week he had before ACL (Do I need to remind anybody of ACL now? It happened this season, contrary to my previous argument!). And if JSF decides to let him do 4cc instead of Team Event, that's even more time before hitting Olympic ice! Said 4CC(must feel stressed it's being mentioned so much rn xD) is still a good opportunity to check out competitive condition if he wants to (bonus: Pooh isn't banned in Taipei [last I checked] so the pooh rain will also vent his power a bit), and if he wants to do something closer to his training base, well, I'm sure there are local competition that would beg to have him over (yes, I'm that optimistic). And if he's not at his best at the Olys (which I don't believe, with @Xen's calendar rehab schedules in hand[ok, on the screen-you get the meaning]), well, Considering that his watered down SP can maximally reach 114, and I say maximally as in with his capabilities at his 'not best' (took that point off bc judges are stingy like that and won't give him 50PCS like, ever), while others struggle to get to 110, I'd say he has a mental advantage of winning SP, and, I'm sorry US media, if the unbeatable this season's threat wins comes from the SP score being higher than others, and Yuzuru is above that? Also-I don't put it behind me that I'm just being mean to sQuad at this point- Yuzuru, even with lower BV programs, has potential to comfortably cross 320 total with a mistake (Ga watch Helsinki!), which, mind you, not even the History second Highest ranked skater (Shoma) does. I send cyber hugs to you, as I know pessimism is a hard thing to fight, but like, remember that we are talking about this guy: And if this doesn't help, I found this thing (havent watched it yet, tho) which should lift our spirits a bit:

It's okay! I fought the anxiety once, I will fight it again I know but you know, you always have it just at the back of your head... like, the Aleksandrow's Choir's plane also had it, and look at us, it will be the anniversary soon T.T But! No good worrying in advance! If I fall at worst I will be able to ascend and punch skating gods in the face for not taking proper care of Yuzu! HEAR MY WARNING, SKATING GODS! Definitely okay! Still great takeoff Check. STILL Completed two rotations? Check. Getting ALS Challenged by former co-competitors and his own skater? CHECK. <-A summary: Yuzu learns the Extra from the best.
