o mg i used to love that movie as a kid :rofl2: i had completely forgotten about it until recently, after i watched YOI it's nothing fantastic, but not too terrible for a disney flick, imo. but there's definetly... inaccuracies x'D i also share the sad reality of not having any rinks in my city, aside from temporary ones on occasion... the first and only time i skated was when i went on a trip to canada for an exchange programme ;;

i feel like i'm in the minority because i also don't really dislike NDP or RJ2; sure, they're not anywhere near the top of my list, but i don't think they're bad. but i definetly agree that shae-lynns programs seem to connect much better with yuzu. i think she definetly has a better understanding of him

I unashamedly love the NDP costume, cross and all. He looks like a twig in it, though. I feel like he would use it so much better now he's put on more muscle. yay, it's nice to see more people appreciate it! i actually love the cross, i don't even know why :smile: but i have to second the twig comment x'D i'd love to see how it fits him as he is now...

I can pronounce it, but don't ask me to remember the spelling and NPD is a sound choice. I, too, hereby confess I like it. #noshame There is that other red costume, but... that's the reason we'll probably never see another one in red... so... (I still love it... we could have had it all) oh yeah, i definetly can't spell it either. i guess i've never heard anyone actually say the name, which is why i'm at a loss on how to say it. i usually just call it ziggy i was so surprised to see so many people say they don't like NDP's costume?? it easily gets a spot in my top five haha. from what i gather many people think it's a bit too much lol it's rather sad about that costume, isn't it? as much as i like the second iteration, i keep wondering what could've been. it was so beautiful ;;

This costume was designed by [link=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fCEclb7MHh8]Johnny Weir[/link]... so let's blame him Am I the only one who likes this costume...? :wtf: I mean, you can see his mom made it, because it's definitely not as tight-fitting as we'd expect (she's still his mom, I guess it's only natural ), but I like the decorations... okay no I'm just partial to red. I love red and I love Yuzuru in red. Alas, it was never meant to be... I even like this: (SUE ME! ) i don't know if i'd go as far as to say i like it, but i definetly can't bring myself to hate it i mean, i did hate it the first time i saw it and i still refer to it as the strawberry abomination sometimes bc i can't pronounce the name of the program orz but it's honestly not so bad, it's grown on me haha. idk, maybe it's because of baby-faced yuzu, or maybe it's the fact that i, too, am very partial to red... i'm marrying the NDP costume after all, haha...

i'm another one of those new fans that found yuzuru through YOI i've always kind of casually enjoyed figure skating, but it's not exactly the most accessible here. i only ever watched it during the olympics, if i was lucky enough to catch it on TV but after watching YOI i became interested in knowing more about the sport, because i actually really enjoyed that aspect of the show; this eventually lead me to yuzuru hanyu, whom people kept mentioning in relation to YOI, for reasons that i didn't - and still don't understand - since really, as many of you said, he's very, very different from yuuri. though i find myself quite distant from the YOI fandom nowadays, i can't help but feel greatful towards it, if only because of yuzuru hanyu i believe i first looked him up in mid-to-late january. my memories are a bit jumbled, but i'm almost certain the first program i watched was LGC though i would take a while to get used to the music, i really enjoyed the skating itself from the start. but it wasn't until i watched H&L that i truly fell in love with both yuzuru and his skating which seems rather odd, because in retrospect this isn't a program that's easy to fall in love with, especially when you don't know yuzu that well, but something just clickled with me, and it's still my favourite to this day :bow: this eventually lead me to checking out his other programs, watching as many videos of him as i could; just desperately trying to make up for lost time :smile: all the while trying to learn more about figure skating, which i'm still working on but i've definetly gotten a bit better lately. though i must admit, i don't really actively follow any other skaters... i tend to really hyperfocus when it comes to what i love, and thus i have very little space in my heart for anyone else, though i still thoroughly enjoy watching others skate during competition, including other disciplines, especially the ladies following yuzuru this season was definetly a wild ride; it was very stressful at times, from worrying over time zones and conflicting schedules that kept me from watching competitions live, to being so concerned over yuzu being so hard on himself after he made mistakes on the short. but all of it was worth it because i got to watch him skate, and that in and of itself was a blessing. :embSwan:

thank you! i actually tried something different just now but i have no clue how to feel about it x'D i actually really like working with pixel art but i haven't done any in weeks... so it kinda didn't work out as well as i hoped ;; i also need to get used to drawing his hair, they way i draw hair normally isn't very compatible orz is this pop star!yuzu? :P he could totally pull it off, couldn't he :devil: i wanted to do casual (tackling one of his costumes in my first time pixeling in weeks didn't sound promising) so i used the ANAN photoshoot as a reference x'D

We have chosen the best place to be closer to our Yuzuru and learn more about this sport. There is space here for all the countries. We're fine. Enjoy. it's nice to see more people from brazil around here! i hardly know anyone that cares about figure skating irl, so it's rather refreshing

he sure is, our poor yuzu :c the part when he looks up and apologizes after the program still haunts me tbh... i'm pretty sure i teared up a bit while watching it live. he looked so crestfallen ;; i was honestly worried all day which is why seeing him smile before the free skate was such a relief during that i did cry, almost the entire way through they were tears of happiness though, so it's okay

They can certainly try, but I don't think it will go well for most of them :rofl2: (I don't really dislike the blue FTT. And the sleeves make his hand gestures look beautiful :love:) The worst is the draping, everything else is acceptable. And I agree about the sleeves :love: But I am still in love with this the draping is the only reason why i'm kind of on the fence with the blue FTT everything else looks beautiful... though i do love the original version as well, i hadn't seen it before today!

This sounds great to me! Regarding LGC, which I also really liked, I read somewhere that at Worlds, Yuzu was saddened/affected by the anniversary of Prince's death and was thinking about that before/during/after the skate? I forgot about that until I got home today and found a new You Tube video of him before and during the warm up for LGC. He looks really grim in it. I've seen him serious and intense, but this looked more somehow. Maybe I'm just reading more into it. Anyway, maybe he should avoid songs by contemporary musicians? Just a thought. wasn't this during WTT though? the anniversary of Prince's death was the day following the short program :s i still can't bring myself to rewatch that, the moment i saw him during the warm up i knew something was wrong, he really did look grim and way, way too serious ;;

I would love to see it! there you go i guess orz i always feel weird about drawing people. or maybe it's fanart idk i'm so used to anthropomorphic characters and animals that everything else looks strange in my style at least to me. i also maybe should've chosen an easier costume and maybe used a reference for anatomy purposes but this was born out of an in-class doodle so ;;
